Hi, everyone! It's been a busy week, so I haven't had much stampy time.....I did squeeze in a quick birthday card this evening which has to be mailed tomorrow. My new go-to stamp set for quick cards is this awesome 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' from North Coast Creations....I love, love, love it!!!! The scene was stamped in navy blue and the card base was stamped in kraft with the 'Wood Background' stamp from sister company, Our Daily Bread designs. I love navy blue and brown together, so I really enjoyed making this one for my niece's husband....would that make him a nephew-in-law?! :) I dunno!!!
Thanks for visiting!

Take Time To Smell The Flowers
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Debra Currier aka pdncurrier.....congrats, Debra!!! I chose this amazing clean and simple beauty to recreate using the ODBD Custom 'Flower Box Fillers' Dies and a sentiment from 'Home Sweet Home', both from Our Daily Bread designs. Though not very visible, I did use my air-art tool to spritz purple and green diagonally across the panel, behind the flower box. Green gemstones were added to the flowers and corners.

Vintage Roses Blossom
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the 'Soft Surroundings' website.....I fell in love with the colors and rose design of this pillow sham (the pink version). For my card, I used the 'Blossom' set and 'Shabby Rose Paper Collection' from Our Daily Bread designs. Once the designer paper was cut to size, the bottom edge was cut with the border die from the ODBD Custom 'Antique Labels and Border' Dies set...the white mat was trimmed by hand around the bottom. The rose images from 'Blossom' were stamped in Stazon Timber Brown, then sponged in Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake for a vintage feel.

To God be the Glory!
Happy Friday, everyone! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use a large image or background stamp.....I chose to use the background image from 'Belles Vignes' by Our Daily Bread designs, along with a sentiment from 'Glory' and the detailed butterfly from the 'Fancy Fritillary' Dies set to create this birthday card for a friend. I love how quick this was to make and just might have to do it again in different colors!

Inspired Wedding Cards
Happy 4th of July, everyone!! This morning I made two cards for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge #500!! This week's challenge is to find inspiration from the Green Wedding Shoes site......I loved this challenge so much that I made two cards! My first card was inspired by this gorgeous bouquet.....loved all of the purple tones! The wild rose image and quote from the ODBD set, 'Fragrance', and butterfly from 'Butterfly and Bugs' were embossed in gold on ivory cardstock; the flowers and butterfly were 'painted' with various shades of Glimmer Mist instead of inks....oh boy, how they shimmer in person! The little tag, cut from the ODBD Custom 'Mini Tags' Dies frames a sentiment from 'Home Sweet Home', also embossed in gold.
My second card was inspired by this scrumptious wedding bouquet. I used the same set, 'Fragrance', since it embosses so beautifully, but this time with white embossing powder. Once again, I used Glimmer Mist for watercoloring. Hind sight being 20/20, my camera would not pick up the white embossed quote on the ivory cardstock, so I sponged and pierced a circle around it to make it visible. Not quite the card I had envisioned, but it was the easiest solution without creating another panel for the sentiment.

Triple Scoop Birthday
Hi, everyone! I have combined four challenges (from Splitcoast Stampers) for this birthday card for my niece: the Clean and Simple Challenge (sketch challenge); the Color Challenge of honey, watermelon, and cucumber with the dessert option of summertime sweet treats; the Ways to Use It Challenge is to use sequins; and the Friday Free4All Challenge is to use any brads except round....the "enjoy" sentiment is a metal brad which I painted white then covered with pink glitter. The ice cream image is from the North Coast Creations set, 'What's the Scoop?', layered over a doily from the ODBD Custom 'Doily' Dies set and the pennants from the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies set. I didn't have the exact colors so I had to improvise with what I had on hand.
Thanks for visiting!
Happy a happy, blessed, and safe 4th!!!

My first sample today features the 'Blossom' set, the ODBD Custom 'Beautiful Borders' Dies, and the ODBD Custom 'Doily' Dies. The two rose images were stamped in bright blue (using masking), then the entire stamped circle was clear embossed. Blue antique dishes have always been a fave of mine, so I tried to capture that look here, even if the camera did not agree! :) To coordinate with the doily die, two border die cuts were trimmed down the center then matched up and the seam was covered by the ribbon. In addition to the ribbon, paper piercing and pearls were added for embellishments.
My second sample features the ODBD Custom 'Welcoming Window' Dies set, ODBD Custom 'Window Shutter and Awning' Dies set, ODBD Custom 'Flower Box Fillers' Dies, 'Home Sweet Home' clear stamps, ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies, and the ODBD 'Shabby Rose' Paper Collection. I decided to make an inside window looking out, but, as you've seen today with all of the other samples, that these new dies make it easy to make both inside and outside windows....so fun!! I used the crocheted background pattern from the 'Shabby Rose Paper Collection' for my wallpaper and valance. The bottom white panel was scored with a Scor-buddy to mimic bead-board, but it was hard to pick up the scoring with the camera. The background of the outside scene was sponged in a smoky blue color, using a die cut from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies set. The sentiment from 'Home Sweet Home' was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies set....the same die which cut the white panel was traced onto the designer paper and trimmed by hand.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!!
God bless!!
