Hi, everyone! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'May Flowers'. For my card, I'm using one of my new faves by Our Daily Bread designs, the 'You Bless Me So' Stamp/Die Duo. I LOVE this flower bouquet and matching single flower! The flowers were stamped on the white card base, watercolored, then highlighted with markers. The vase was made from a tag cut with the 'Mini Tags and Labels' Dies (from a polka dot design from the ODBD Birthday Brights Paper Collection), then the top of the tag was cut off with an oval die. The scalloped border was cut from the same paper collection with the ODBD 'Bitty Borders' Dies. The sentiments are from the same set as the flowers.

Looking Back At The ODBD May Mid-Month Release
Hi, everyone! Today we are taking a look back at the mid-month release for Our Daily Bread designs. I am in love with the new silhouette sets, Howdy, and Ride Em Cowboy! The creative possibilities with these sets are endless!!
Below are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs which are featured in my two cards today:
My first sample was super quick and easy. The image panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies (the embossed lines are from the next smaller die). The card base was stamped with the Wood Background, then lines (and faux nails) were drawn with a black marker to look like a wooden frame. After stamping the silhouette from Ride 'Em Cowboy in black, the sky was sponged with red, purple, and blue before stamping the scripture in red.
For my next card, I used the Howdy set. I love this image since it can be for guys or girls. I made this card for my friend, Debbie, for her birthday. I based the colors on the plaid pattern from the ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper Collection. The designer paper was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies.....I love that the largest die is the perfect size to layer onto an A2 size card! The other dies used on this design are: ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Fence Die, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, and ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies.

You Make Me Smile!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Melanie aka StichesandSmudges...congrats, Melanie! I chose this super cute CAS card to case today. For my card today, I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: You Bless Me So (Stamp/Die Duo), ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Matting Cirlces Dies (sun spokes), ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Birthday Brights Paper Collection, ODBD Pastel Paper Pack, and the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (sponged clouds). Other than cutting and embossing the sun spokes one at a time, this was a very quick and fun card to make. Instead of kites, I chose butterflies, but used the same color sequence as Melanie's card. :)

The Simple Things In Life
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is all about shaker cards; one focus was to use a stamped image as the shaker piece. I chose the doily frame from the Special Blend set and a sentiment from Little Things, both by Our Daily Bread designs. The doily was stamped on ivory cardstock; the sentiment was stamped on a piece of acetate (from ODBD's stamp packaging), both stamped with Stazon Timber Brown. The inside of the doily was cut out with a craft knife then adhered to the acetate window with double sided tape. Double-stacked rows of foam tape were added to the back, microbeads were added, the foam tape backing was removed and a piece of ivory cardstock was adhered, locking in all of the beads. The designer paper from the ODBD Cozy Quilt Paper Collection plus the ivory and poppy mats were all cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies set. Ivory seam binding and three brown pearls were added as embellishments.

Happy Birthday, Cowboy!
Hi, everyone!! I've combined this week's Sketch Challenge 594 with Color Challenge 584, which is curry, pumpkin, watermelon, plus your choice of green for dessert (I hope adding a neutral brown is okay). Instead of circles, I changed the shaped elements to stars since they went with the cowboy theme. This is a birthday card for one of my nephews. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs in the making of my card: Ride 'Em Cowboy, Wood Background, ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies, and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Stars. The medium sized die-cut star was turned into a button with a hole punch and strip of leather.

Boho Hello!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Sarah J Moerman....congrats, Sarah!!! I chose this amazing card to case today since this is normally not a layout that I would think to use. I used the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies to cut out the designer paper (from the ODBD Beautiful Boho Paper Collection) and eggplant mat, adhered the layers to the card then trimmed the edges. The ODBD Custom Hello Die was also cut from the eggplant cardstock. It was hard to keep from adding embellishments, but it will be great to mail a card with only one stamp for once! :)

You Light Up My Life!
Happy Saturday, everyone! I'm loving this week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast, which is all about decorative light switches and outlet covers....I chose this embossed line outlet cover as my inspiration piece. I will save this card for my hubby's birthday (since he does a bit of electrical work as a hobby).....good thing he doesn't read my blog! :) I thought that this was going to be a simple card to make, however, the trial and error on the two outlets took over an hour...eek!!!! I used several punches, a corner rounder, and my Scor-buddy to complete the outlet cover and plug-ins. The following products from Our Daily Bread designs were also used: sentiment from 'The Light of Life' (retired), stars cut with the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Stars Dies, and designer paper from the ODBD Patriotic Paper Collection.

Coral Birthday Wishes
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast should have been an easy one, but I have to admit that I struggled quite a bit. My first card was a total failure, so I ended up creating a clean and simple version of the layout instead. The designer paper is from the ODBD Cozy Quilt Paper Collection and the sentiment is from 'Medallion Sentiments' (cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies), all from Our Daily Bread designs. The matching coral ribbon, paper piercing and pearls were added for embellishments.

May Mid-Month Release for Our Daily Bread designs!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the May Mid-Month Release for Our Daily Bread designs! Click HERE to see all of the new sets and dies together. If you'd like to win a gift certificate to shop at Our Daily Bread designs, follow the instructions below:
Here are the new and previously released items featured in my two projects below:
My first card is a CAS and OLC design (Clean and Simple) and (One Layer Card), featuring the new "Howdy" set. No one said that this silhouette has to be a guy, so I made this birthday card for my niece who is a horse lover and 100% country girl. I made a mask by tearing a piece of scratch paper, temporarily adhered both sides to my white card base, sponged purple and pink, removed the masks and stamped the silhouette and sentiment in black. Baker's twine and three pink pearls were added for embellishments.
My second card features both the "Howdy" set and "Ride 'Em Cowboy" set, along with the Wood Background stamp, ODBD Custom Fence Die, ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and the ODBD Custom Circles Dies (to cut a mask to sponge the sun). The large cactus from "Howdy" was stamped in green then fussy cut. The scripture verse and half of the image from "Ride 'Em Cowboy" was stamped in green, cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Ovals Dies set. Using a die from the ODBD Custom Circles Dies set, a mask was created in order to sponge the orange sun. The background panel (cut out and "re-sized" into a square with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set) and green fence (cut with the ODBD Custom Fence Die) were stamped in green with the Wood Background stamp. Linen thread was sewn into the top corner (after piercing with a paper piercer) to coordinate with the thread woven around the fence.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
Blessings,

Ombre Blue Thanks
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a color combination from the given Pinterest board and design your project around it. I'm a sucker for blue tones so I chose this Blue Tile combination for inspiration. I started with a white rectangle, sponged the different shades of blue all over from light to dark, then used the ODBD Custom Majestic Medallion Dies set to cut out the pattern. Lots of tiny pieces of foam tape were added to the back of the die cut piece to pop it up over the panel which was stamped with the Medallion Background stamp (after stamping off for a lighter color). The sentiment panel was stamped with the Medallion Sentiments set, cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, then matted with the ODBD Custom Filigree Frames dies. I didn't want to cover up the die cut or gradient colors, so only pearls were added as embellishments.

Boho Butterfly Blessings
Hi, everyone! It's another easy layout for this week's Sketch Challenge #592 over at Splitcoast...woo hoo!!! For my card, I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Boho Background Die, the Boho Blessings stamp set and ODBD Custom Fancy Fritillary Dies set to cut out the butterfly. The card was sprayed several times with Pearl Glimmer Mist and then some sparkly sequins were added.

I Always Thank God For You!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Carla aka Covington Crafter.....congrats, Carla! When cruising through her awesome gallery, this beautiful quilt card caught my attention. I love the pieced background, stamped quilt center and scalloped border. For my card, I used the ODBD Custom Log Cabin Quilt Die with a pattern from the ODBD Americana Quilt Paper Collection. The scalloped border was cut from the ODBD Custom Lacey Layered Squares Dies. The sentiment from Many Thanks was stamped onto a partial doily cut from the ODBD Custom Doily Dies set. A white bow and three navy pearls were added as finishing touches.

Dear Friend
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a Pinterest board full of one layer cards (OLC).......I chose this awesome card by Audrie to recreate using the new Medallion Background and Medallion Sentiments set, both from Our Daily Bread designs. For my first attempt, I used scratch paper to mask the white card, inked the background stamp with aqua and teal inks, but couldn't get a clean image at the edges of the masks. I used the back side of my failed first attempt, inked the background stamp again, stamped onto a larger area, then trimmed to the size I wanted and adhered onto another white card base. After stamping the sentiment, paper piercing and white pearls were added.
