Below are the items from North Coast Creations which I have used in my samples today:

NCC Who Loves You? NCC Custom Owl Family Dies

NCC Custom Happy Birthday Die NCC Custom Flourished Vine Die

NCC Floral Sentiments 5

My two card samples below also feature the follow items from Our Daily Bread designs:

ODBD Beautiful Boho Paper Collection ODBD Wood Background

ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies ODBD Custom Ovals Dies

My first card was so fun to make!  The two adult owls and tree branch from 'Who Loves You?' were stamped in black, colored with markers, then cut out with the NCC Custom 'Owl Family' Dies set and popped up over the yellow moon (cut with a circle die). The brown cardstock was stamped with the ODBD Wood Background stamp, then an oval was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies so that it looked like the sentiment was carved into the tree. Paper piercing, metallic yellow brads, yellow baker's twine, and heart pearls were added as finishing touches.

My next sample features the new NCC Custom 'Happy Birthday' Die, NCC Custom 'Flourished Vine Die', the floral image from 'Floral Sentiments 5', the ODBD Custom 'Stitched Ovals' Dies, and a flourish pattern from the ODBD 'Beautiful Boho' Paper Collection.  The 'Flourished Vine Die' was cut out of navy blue, the 'Happy Birthday' Die was cut from the same designer paper as the left panel.  The image was stamped in navy blue, then watercolored with a lighter shade of blue to give it a monochromatic look.

New Pennant Stamps by Our Daily Bread designs!

Hi, everyone!! Our Daily Bread designs has just released two new pennant alphabet sets......check them out!!

ODBD Pennant Row Alphabet ODBD Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet

The 'Pennant Row Alphabet' set coordinates with the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row Dies' set and the 'Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet' coordinates with the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Swag Die':

ODBD Custom Pennant Row Dies ODBD Pennant Swag Die

My first sample today features the new 'Pennant Row Alphabet', the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row Dies' set, 'Special Boy', 'Fishing Net Background', ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Stitched Ovals' Dies, and ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies.  To create the cammo pennant, the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row Die' was cut from Kraft cardstock, the letters from the 'Pennant Row Alphabet' were stamped on white with green, then trimmed by hand and adhered to the die cut piece. Using the same die, I traced the outline onto the cammo designer paper, then cut out by hand. Two little stars cut with the ODBD 'Sparkling Stars' Dies were the anchors for the ends.  The monster truck from 'Special Boy' was stamped on white and also on the cammo paper; parts of the truck were colored with markers and the cammo section was cut out and paper-pieced onto the image.  The banners were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, the army net background was stamped with the 'Fishing Net Background' stamp, and the scene behind the truck was sponged in kraft and aqua.

The inset scene was stamped with the 'Lilac' Single, watercolored with olive and blackberry; the clouds were sponged with aqua over a stencil made with the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies set.  The 'Hummingbird' Single, cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Hummingbird Die' was also water-colored.  The swag was cut down to size for the customized word; pearls were strategically placed between the letters to hide the cut mark.

Strength and Dignity

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Judi Rowley aka sweetbloominscraps....congrats, Judi!!  I chose this gorgeous card to recreate....what a great layout!  Most of my card elements came from the Blushing Rose Paper Collection by Our Daily Bread designs, even the pre-printed sentiment panel which was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Flourish Pattern' Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies.  The butterfly and Faith were cut from the same paper collection using the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies and ODBD Custom 'Faith, Hope, and Love' Dies.  The background panel was stamped with the 'Boho Paisley Background' stamp in Mellow Moss.

Count Your Blessings

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Theresa aka tjacoby98....congrats, Theresa!!!  I am a sucker for banner cards, so I chose this beautiful card from Theresa's gallery to re-create.  Instead of creating my own background, I decided to go with some ODBD 'Beautiful Boho' Paper Collection, along with a sentiment from 'Boho Blessings' and the little flower and leaves are from 'Boho Love'.  I added sequins as Theresa did on her card, but I added stickles to the centers of my sequins and little stamped flowers.

Boho Butterfly Blessings

Hi, everyone!  Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Best Business Cards Pinterest board....I chose the paisley design in this group. I chose to use the following products from Our Daily Bread designs for my card: butterfly and sentiment from 'Boho Blessings', ODBD Custom 'Fancy Fritillary' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Stitched Ovals', ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies, and the ODBD Custom 'Boho Background' Dies set.  I used some swirly pearls from my stash for a little flair.

Just Chillin' with Buford!

Hi, everyone!  Yes, with me, it's either feast or famine.....this is my third post for today!  Still trying to do as many of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges as I can before the deadline on Monday night.  Looks like I won't make the Challenge Queen list this year (if you complete all 40 challenges), but it was still fun playing!!  This card was a blast to make.....it's a birthday card for a co-worker.  The background was created by inking up a large acrylic block with kraft ink plus two shades of aqua, spritzing it with water, then 'smooshing' the white cardstock onto it.  After it was dry, the edges were sponged, the panel was matted in white and paper pierced.  The fun image is 'Pool Time Buford' and the sentiment is from 'You're the Bomb', both from North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs).  Buford was stamped on white, then cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Stitched Ovals' dies, using the 'Out of the Box' technique, then matted with the ODBD Custom 'Ovals Dies'.

The Lord Is My Shepherd

Hello!!!  I'm back with another challenge combo card which covers 6 challenges for Dare To Get Dirty week!  Sorry, can't reveal the challenge details here....Fan Club members only!  For my one layer card, I used one of my fave sets EVER from Our Daily Bread designs, 'The Shepherd'.  The little lamb image was stamped in black onto a white card, then the background was sponged using masking.  To extend the scene across the card, extra daffodils were stamped on either side, using masking.  The clouds were sponged over a torn piece of scratch paper; the grass was sponged over a straight piece of scratch paper, then the image was colored with markers (the pointillism technique was used both on the lamb with a blush marker and on the ground with three different green markers).

Clean and Simple Boho Cross

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Dena aka drekow....congrats, Dena!!  What a wonderful gallery!!  I chose this CAS beauty for inspiration.  I'm trying to create more cards with lots of open space....my tired brain can't handle too many layers nowadays! :)   For my one layer card, I decided to go with a one layer pink card, stamped the ODBD 'Boho Cross' and sentiment from 'Boho Blessings' in black, then colored with a pink marker. As on Dena's card, the only embellishment used was one gemstone.  I will also be submitting this for one of the Dare To Get Dirty challenges.

Coffee Inspired

Happy Saturday!!  After a busy week at work, I'm happy to get back to my stampy room today!!  The Dare To Get Dirty Challenges are wrapping up....I only have a few days to upload my entries....eek!  This card combines several Dirty challenges plus today's Inspiration Challenge which is all about Starbucks!  Though I'm too cheap to buy their coffee, I did have fun looking at the website......I chose this photo for inspiration to help me make a birthday card for a co-worker who is a coffee addict like me!  I used the North Coast Creations 'What's Brewin'?' set, along with the 'Winter Paper Collection' and ODBD Custom 'Sparkling Stars' Dies from Our Daily Bread designs.  The cup image was stamped, fussy cut, then covered in Versamark and heat embossed with Espresso brown powder.  To match the glittery pattern from the paper, the little stars were cut out of copper paper.  Some of the steam trails were drawn in by hand with an espresso marker (this hand-drawing technique proves that I'm a stamper, NOT an artist! lol!)

Have a Sweet Day!

Hi again!  Since this is Dare To Get Dirty week at Splitcoast for Fan Club members, you will see quite a few blog posts from me as I try to do as many challenges as possible.  This card was made for Dina's first challenge (diniA).  I used a new set from North Coast Creations, called 'Ice Cream'.  For DTGD week, I want to make as many CAS cards as possible and this fun stamp set was perfect for a one layer card.  Once it was colored (with sponges and markers), I added some stickles to the ice cream and whipped cream layers and some matching baker's twine.

Count Your Blessings

Hi, everyone!  This is Dare To Get Dirty week over at Splicoast....a week full of special challenges for Fan Club members only.  I can share the details of each card, but not the details of the challenges....if you are a Fan Club member, you will know by the keyword.

This card is for Lydia's first challenge (DTGD15UnderstandblueA).  This card took me waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone!  I rarely use any 'messy' techniques, but for this I swiped four different stamp pads directly to the cardstock, then flicked water drops all over, then flicked some Glimmer Mist droplets as well.  The butterfly image and sentiment are from 'Boho Blessings' by Our Daily Bread designs.
