NCC Blog....let us know you have finished!
For my first card, I used the 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' set. The deer, grass, and tree were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then the rest of the scene was sponged over scratch paper masking, using teal and purple inks. The moon is merely the white cardstock which was masked with a circle. Matching purple baker's twine, pearls, and tiny metallic star sequins were added for embellishments.....and paper piercing, of course!!
My second card features the new 'Sail Away' set, along with the following items from sister company Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom 'Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate', ODBD Custom 'Elegant Ovals' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, and some awesome designer paper from the soon-to-be-released ODBD 'Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection' (available June 1st). The scene was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then all of the white parts you see were masked with scratch paper so that the scene could be sponged, then highlighted with markers and a white paint pen.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!!!

Coming in second are my little sponge daubers....I LOVE to color with sponges!! The stamps used on my card are new from North Coast Creations (Our Daily Bread designs' sister company), called 'Deer Silhouette Greetings'(available tomorrow). The ODBD Custom Window Dies set was used to cut out the window and curtains and both patterns of designer paper are from an upcoming release from ODBD called the 'Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection' (available June 1st).

Bluebirds and Butterflies
Hi, everyone!! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose one of the scrumptious color combinations from the Color Inspirations Pinterest board which was pinned by Michael's Stores.....I fell in love with the soft colors from this combination. My card design was inspired by this gorgeous card by this week's Featured Stamper, Brenda aka tessaduck....congrats, Brenda!! This is my first try with the inlaid die-cut technique, where several die cuts cut into each other for an overlap effect. I used the ODBD Custom 'Trois Papillons' Dies to cut the shapes from the cantaloupe cardstock. The 'Belles Vignes' background was white embossed, cut out with the same dies, then sponged in cantaloupe, rose and plum. The 3d butterfly was white embossed using the matching 'Trois Jolie Papillons' set and sponged in the same colors. The sentiment from 'Life is a Gift' was also embossed in white, taking care to not leave any white speckles on the cantaloupe background.
I loved Brenda's gallery so much, that I had to go back for seconds. I loved this adorable birdie card with the sponged background and one of my fave sentiments. For the background, I decided to use a stencil which I bought several months ago, but had not tried yet. The bird and sentiment are from 'Spread Your Wings' and the birdie was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Birds and Nest' Dies.

Hello, Ladybugs!
Hi, everyone!! I started this card weeks ago, but was nudged to finish it when I saw the Ways To Use It 'Red and White' Challenge, plus this week's Shining the Light Challenge is an inspiration challenge and the ladybugs fit right in there too!! The lattice squares were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Layered Lacey Squares' Dies, the ladybugs are from 'Butterfly and Bugs' and cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies. The sentiment is from 'Ornate Borders Sentiments'. I was going for a clean and simple look, so I added score lines above and below with my Scor-buddy and added one gingham bow....haha, it didn't really need a bow, but I love gingham with ladybugs. Also, the white squares looked a bit plain, so I added some doodling around the edges for a little extra character.

The Lord's Prayer with Rose Frame
Hi, everyone!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Naomi Witzke aka NaomiW....congrats, Naomi!!!! I chose this beautiful card to recreate since I loved the stamping in the center surrounded by flowers....what a lovely frame! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration on the 'Barbie Dolls - Let's Play' Pinterest Board.....I chose this gorgeous photo for inspiration....loved the mauve colors and roses. I will also be submitting this to the Ways To Use It 'May Flowers' Challenge. For my card, I stamped the 'Lord's Prayer Script' in Stazon Jet Black on white cardstock, then stamped the image from 'Rose Bouquet' many times around the edges using masking. The center was sponged in aqua and the roses were colored with markers. The smallest butterfly from the 'Trois Jolies Papillons' set was stamped twice, one was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Trois Papillons' Dies, the other was fussy cut then glued in the center to create a 3d look with the wings. Baker's twine, pearls, and paper piercing were added as finishing touches.

Mother's Day Flower Basket
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Polly aka peeps321....congrats, Polly!!! I chose this super cute card as inspiration to make this Mother's Day card. The basket from 'Basket of Blessings' was stamped in black, colored with Creamy Caramel, then fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. The various flowers were cut from both the ODBD Custom 'Birds and Nest' dies and the ODBD Custom 'Asters and Leaves' dies, sponged with Daffodil Delight, then highlighted with stickles. The grass was cut with the ODBD Custom 'Grass Border' Die (the negative die cut was used inside the basket as filler material behind the flowers). The bumble-bee from 'Butterfly and Bugs' was stamped, colored, cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies, then the wings were colored with a glitter pen. Instead of water-coloring the background, I sponged some clouds over a scalloped circle. The Daffodil seam binding bow was tied with a Bow Easy.

Clean and Simple Confirmation Card
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the art gallery of Ramon Santiago. I heat embossed several crosses a few days ago, but wasn't sure which embossing powder I liked or which color to pair with it until I saw this painting...this smoky shade of blue was perfect! This is a quick and easy 1st confirmation card I made using the 'Never Give Up' grunge cross set (unfortunately, this is discontinued now) and a sentiment from 'Confirmation'. The grunge image was stamped in blue onto the card base; the grunge cross single was heat embossed with Pewter embossing powder, cut out with the ODBD Custom Grunge Cross Die, then colored with a matching blue marker. The small cross layered on top is from the ODBD Custom 'Ornamental Crosses' Dies set. On the inside I used an encouraging scripture verse from one of the Scripture Collection sets at Our Daily Bread designs.

Butterfly Vine
Hi, everyone! For my card today, I have combined the Clean and Simple 'May' Challenge (M = Melon Mambo; A=Antennae;Y=Yellow), the Technique Lover's Challenge to use one negative die cut and a different positive die cut, and the Color Challenge of Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Tangerine Tango with the 'dessert option' of green. My card features the 'Belles Vignes' flourish vine image, sentiment from 'Spread Your Wings', and the ODBD Custom 'Fancy Fritillary' Dies set. The butterfly was sponged in the three colors from the challenge, the sentiment stamped in Melon and tangerine ribbon was used for a simple embellishment. Though not very visible, Dazzling Diamonds Stickles were added to the butterfly and vines for a little sparkle.

Cantaloupe Belles Vignes
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Karen Van Eijk.....congrats, Karen!!! I loved the textured card, die cut frame, and flourish design of this gorgeous card, so I re-created it using the new 'Belle Vignes' set by Our Daily Bread designs. The vine flourish was white embossed onto ivory cardstock, then sponged with cantaloupe and espresso brown (the embossing resist technique). Instead of embossing the sentiment, I decided to use brown to tie in the other brown elements. The butterfly from 'Butterfly and Bugs', stamped in brown and colored with cantaloupe and a white chalk marker, was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies. The ivory frame was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Layered Lacey Squares' Dies.
Before I go, just wanted to remind you of the HUGE designer paper sale going on at Our Daily Bread designs......check out the details HERE!! It ends tonight at 11:00, so don't wait!!!

ODBD Blog....let us know you have finished.
For my samples today, I have used both new and previously released stamps and dies:
My first sample took a while to make because of all of the masking and fussy cutting, but I'm so happy about how it turned out. The card base is one of the pre-cut and pre-scored Z-Fold Cards (love!) and all of the scenic panels are just white cardstock with stamping and sponging. When I first saw the new 'Psalm 23 Script' stamp, I knew I had to use the little lamb from 'The Shepherd', which led me to use the ODBD Fence Die....they just naturally go together, kwim? :) Using masking, the lamb/daffodil image was stamped multiple times, then fussy cut and popped up for dimension. The little butterflies and beetles are from 'Butterfly and Bugs', cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies.
My second sample features the new 'Lord's Prayer Script', stamped in blackberry ink onto some musical themed designer paper. The butterflies from 'Butterfly and Bugs' were stamped onto coordinating designer paper, cut out by hand, then the centers of each butterfly were adhered to the ivory outlines which were cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies. The corners were cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Ornate Borders and Flower' Dies. Pearls and 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist were added as finishing touches.
Though I did not have a chance to create any sneak peeks for this release, stay tuned all month long for LOTS of butterfly creations......can't wait to play with all of the new ODBD dies!!!!
Thanks for hanging out with us today!!
