Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from the Hora-del-te Pinterest board....all about tea...I chose this gorgeous photo for inspiration, plus I saw some other tea cups with a gold rim, so I added some 'Gold Lame' Smooch paint! I just had to dig out my SB Nested Tea Cups dies to cut out a tea cup from this gorgeous new designer paper from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Shabby Rose Collection'. The background was stamped with the 'Christ the Lord' Background onto another pattern from the 'Shabby Rose Collection', then lined in gold Smooch paint to match the lining on the tea cup. The sentiment is from 'Just A Note' and the border die was cut with the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders dies.
Thanks for visiting!! Come back tomorrow morning for the ODBD March New Release party!!

The Love of God Guides Every Good
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge is to use any shades of green for a monochromatic card. What a perfect opportunity to give you all a sneak peek of the upcoming 'St. Patrick's Day' set by Our Daily Bread designs on March 1st. I don't celebrate St. Paddies Day per se, but I couldn't resist this set because of the beautiful celtic frame and I love the sentiments which are included in the set as well. The frame image was stamped in a dark green, cut out by hand, then colored in with a lime green marker. The shamrock image was stamped in a line down the panel then I paper pierced the edges and used my Scor-buddy to create score lines for a little interest.

Silhouette Inchie Art
Happy Saturday, everyone! It's a snowy day here in Indiana, so I'll be stamping the day away!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is all about 'inchies'.....I chose this beautiful stitched art from the Pinterest board provided. The card design is based on this lovely card from this week's Queen For the Day......big congrats to Kecia aka LittleSeaOtter!!! To match my inspiration piece, I stamped the 'Wildflower Silhouette Background' in green, punched out the flowers I wanted to showcase with a square punch, sponged in banana then kraft on the edges, matted in white and green, then added liquid pearls. The background was stamped in Versamark with the 'Honeycomb Background' and the sentiment is from 'Life is a Gift'.....all of the stamps I used are from Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks for visiting!
Have a safe and blessed weekend!!

Sing and Make Music
Hi again! I was up early this morning and had a chance to play along with the Color Challenge over at Splitcoast.....I chose three of the five colors provided: Hello Honey, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Brown Sugar to color and sponge the chickadee image from the Our Daily Bread designs set, 'You Will Find Refuge'. The card base was stamped with the ODBD 'Wood Background' and the chickadee was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Chickadee' Die. This card needed to be flat for mailing, so I added a strip of cotton ribbon with no bow, plus three metallic dots.
I will also be submitting this to the Our Daily Bread designs Shining the Light 'Inspiration' Challenge.....the inspiration photo had little red berries and reminded me that I had not used this little chickadee in a long time.
Thanks again for stopping by!
God bless!

Joy To The Heart
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use numbers on your CAS card...my numbers are in the scripture verse. I used the 'Lavender' set by Our Daily Bread designs for my card today. An oval die was used to cut an aperature from the top panel; the scripture and one lavender image were stamped onto the card base and another lavender image was stamped on the top panel, using the marker to stamp technique. The top panel was popped up with foam tape.

Hi again, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Cathy aka corysnana1....congrats, Cathy!! I loved the layout of this beautiful card.....instead of using an embossing folder, I used the 'Wildflower Silhouette Background' stamp for the card base and also for the colored panel which was stamped on white then colored with sponge daubers. The sentiment is from 'Life is a Gift'. To coordinate with the black stamping, I added black metal brads to the corners.
Thanks again for visiting with me!!

NCC Blog....let us know you have finished!
Shown below are two new sets which I have featured in today's post.....there are two more new sets to see....check out the full release HERE!
My first sample features the 'Daffodils' set. This was a very quick card to make and I will definitely duplicate it. The daffodil image and beautiful quote were stamped in black onto a white panel, the clouds were sponged over a scalloped circle, the 'grass' was sponged over a scratch paper mask, and the daffodils were colored with markers. To keep the design simple, I only added paper piercing, pearls in the corners and celery ribbon.
My next sample features the 'Pansies' set, along with two die sets (from sister company, Our Daily Bread designs), ODBD Custom 'Doily' Dies and ODBD Custom 'Mini Tags' Dies. The pansy image was stamped three times in order to cut out and pop up some 3d layers. The pansies were colored mostly with sponge daubers, then highlighted with markers and 'Gold Lame' Smooch was painted in the centers for a little 'Wow Factor'! The ribbon on the tag was tied with a piece of gold cord to coordinate with the gold Smooch paint. This image is perfectly drawn so that cutting 3d layers is super easy....I can't wait to do it again!!
Below is a clean and simple Sneak Peek card I shared a few days ago, featuring the 'Pansies' set, colored in yellow and lavender, highlighted with a glitter pen and sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist:
Thanks for celebrating spring with us today!!
God bless!

Cherry Blossom Card and Nameframe Gift
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Crystal Gayle's Photography Shop on Etsy.....I was inspired by this Cherry Blossom print....I cannot wait for spring!!! I made a card and baby shower nameframe gift using the Cherry Blossom theme since they matched the colors of the nursery. For both the card and nameframe, I used the ODBD 'Blushing Rose Paper Collection' along with Pink Pirouette and Early Espresso cardstock. The sentiments on the card are from an ODBD set, 'Little Girls'.
The scripture on the nameframe is from an ODBD set, 'Faith'. The banner pieces were cut with the ODBD Custom Pennants Dies set (trimmed down to the right height). The clouds on both the card and name frame were sponged in blue over a punched scalloped circle. The dies other than the ODBD Custom Pennant Dies were from Spellbinders and Memory Box.
Here is a close up of the framed art (click on the photo for yet a closer look):

Bloom Where You Are Planted
Happy Friday, everyone!! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'Double Triple', which means to use three colors and three elements on your card. I used yellow, purple, and green, plus my three elements are Pearl Glimmer Mist, a Glitter Pen for the flower centers, and baker's twine. The pansy image and sentiment are from an upcoming set by North Coast Creations, called 'Pansies' (available on 2/15). I dug into my sacred stash of retired 'Almost Amethyst' cardstock for this card.....it's still my fave shade of purple evah!!!
Thanks for visiting today!

Rainbow Balloons
Hello, everyone!! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use rainbow colors....another fun opportunity to use the new balloon dies from the ODBD Custom 'Happy Birthday Dies' set!!! The sentiment from 'Sentiments Collection 2' has always been a fave of mine, but don't get the chance to use it often. The balloons were 'tied' to a portion of the ODBD Fence Die. Also, this week at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog, the Shining the Light Challenge is a sketch challenge.....my version is very CAS but it still fits!! :)

Happy Birthday, Biker Dude!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is sweetheart Pauline Godfrey aka lotsofstamps.....congrats, Pauline!!! I chose this beautiful card to case since I am hooked on this layout for masculine cards and I need several more of those in the next few weeks. This card is for my step-dad who is having a birthday this week. He and my mom love to ride when the weather is nice, so I thought of this 'King of the Road' set by North Coast Creations. The designer papers are from an old Basic Grey pack called 'Pyrus' and the little metallic dots I have had in my stash for several years.....trying to use up some of my older stuff instead of shopping for new.

Fishers of Men
Hello! The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast was so fun that I had to go back for seconds!! I was inspired by this fishing boat painting. For my card, I used 'The Waves on the Sea' set and the 'Fishing Net Background' from Our Daily Bread designs. I started out making it monochromatic, as the painting, but it was too plain, so I changed the color on the banner and added some sponged color to the image panel (which was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Elegant Ovals' Dies). The card base was embossed only with the ODBD Custom 'Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate', which, used as a cutting die, will cut out the tiny circles. I love using this die plate to emboss card bases since it does not warp the cardstock as some embossing folders do...yay!! I added only linen thread for an embellishment since I was aiming for a flat card which only took one stamp....mission successful!!! :)

Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice!
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a painting from Kanta Harusaki's amazing watercolor gallery....I fell in love with the vivid colors of this floral piece. Both the solid and polka dotted designer papers, which match the painting, are from an older Basic Grey pad, Green at Heart. The balloons were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Happy Birthday' Dies set and linen thread was used to tie them to the ODBD Fence Die. The sentiment is from the ODBD set, 'Little Girls'.

Smooth Sailing!
Hi, everyone! I needed a couple of masculine birthday cards in a hurry, so I cased one of my own designs but used different colors....see the original card here. The ship collage image is from 'Surging Sea', the sentiment is from a coordinating set, 'Smooth Sailing', and the card base was stamped with the 'Fishing Net Background' (one of my go-to stamps for guy cards!).....all stamps by Our Daily Bread designs. I was planning to color the sails with a white gel pen, but none of them would work....I was able to get enough white out of my chalk marker to make the water splashes...whew!

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the uber-talented Jean Manis....congrats, Jean!!! What a super creative and gorgeous gallery!!! I fell in love with the layout design and colors of this beautiful card. For my card, I cut out a tag using the ODBD Custom Bookmarks Dies set, heat embossed the wildflower silhouette from 'Miss You' in white, then tied a piece of gray ribbon through the cut out. The background panel was stamped in cantaloupe ink using the ODBD Chalkboard Fan Background; the doily from the ODBD Custom Doily Dies set was stenciled in gray ink and the ODBD Custom Hello Die was popped up with foam tape.
