Happy Saturday, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Audrie's Favorite Candles Board from Pinterest......I loved these beautiful candles with the simple, monochromatic design. I couldn't tell what the exact colors were, but I used two gray tones for my card. There are actually two different images here (from Our Daily Bread designs)....the wildflower silhouette, stamped in light gray, is from 'Miss You' and the detailed stamp (and sentiment) in dark gray are from 'Life Is a Gift'....what I love is that the stamps do not match exactly, but I love how the shadow stamping technique looks with them. The sentiment panel and corner piece were cut out using the ODBD Custom 'Ornate Borders and Flower' Dies and the card base was embossed using the ODBD Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate....though the Jesus fish images were covered, I thought it would make a cool border. The gray embroidery thread was twirled and twisted a bit before adhering....just trying something different than straight! :)

Wildflower Silhouette Hello!
Hi, everyone!! Today's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast was a PERFECT opportunity to share a sneak peek of some upcoming goodies from Our Daily Bread designs....yay!! The background was stamped in dark brown onto aqua cardstock with the new 'Wildflower Silhouette Background'; the same stamp was used with aqua ink on white cardstock for the top panel and the image was lined up with the bottom image. The ODBD Custom 'Hello' Die was cut out of dark brown and popped up with foam tape. The background image and Hello sentiment were both highlighted with a glitter pen for a little glitz. I will also be submitting this to the Our Daily Bread designs Shining the Light Challenge, which is 'anything goes with ODBD stamps'!

Nautical Get Well Card
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Tracy Valure aka Scrapgirl1210....congrats, Tracy!!! I chose this awesome card from her gallery.....loved the layout and nautical theme! I needed a card to send to a long-time friend and mentor who is having some health issues, so I chose the ODBD 'Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate' for the background, plus the 'Anchor to Soul' set for the image and sentiment and 'Fishing Net Background' to go with the nautical theme. The image panel was cut with the ODBD Custom 'Elegant Ovals' die set and the sentiment banner was cut by hand. The straight lines were pierced using a template, but the image panel was pierced freehand.

That's How I Roll!
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Angela Maine's blog, From The Tool Shed......no problem finding inspiration there....Angela is AMAZING!!! After drooling over her creations for quite some time, I chose this beautiful card because of the angled layout.....definitely pushes me out of my "squared and straight" comfort zone!! I used Stazon Fuschia Ink for the Grunge Piano Background and sentiments from 'Rock Star' and 'Sing Thy Grace', all by Our Daily Bread designs. The leaves were cut from the leftover background using the ODBD Custom 'Fancy Foliage' Dies and the little flower is actually two layered crosses cut from the ODBD Custom 'Ornamental Crosses' Dies set, with three little pink pearls in the center.

Inspired Candy Pail
Hi, everyone! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from this heart cake photo. I created a tag to decorate this yummy tin of candies (the tin came from the $1 Spot at Target....score!!!) The heart was cut from a Spellbinders die, the first half of the sentiment is from 'Poinsettia Tag Set' (retired) by Our Daily Bread designs, and the 'Angie' stamp is something I found at a flea market years ago. The cellophane bags and ties came from Michael's and the tag was tied onto the tin with silver cord.
Thanks so much for visiting!

Rock Star Thank You!
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Claudia aka cjzim.....congrats, Claudia!! Check out this cool star-shaped chipboard ornament from her gallery....love it! Instead of an ornament, I made a shaped card with the ODBD Custom 'Sparkling Stars' Dies, then puched a hole and made a tag for this plate of 'Thank You Cookies' for a friend. The image from 'Rock Star' was stamped in navy onto kraft, cut out with the same die set, then popped up over the designer paper from the ODBD 'Patriotic Paper Collection'.
Here is a close up of the front of the card/tag:
I used the ODBD 'Patriotic Paper Collection' on the inside also, along with a sentiment from the 'Mini Tag Sentiments' set.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Shout For Joy!
Hi, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the MOD Wedding Cake Board from Pinterest.....I fell in love with the peach and pink roses in this gorgeous photo, which took me straight to this Boho Chic designer paper. The birdie and scripture verse are from 'Music Speaks', framed with circles dies and a doily from the ODBD Custom 'Doily Dies' set, popped up over a die from the ODBD Custom 'Beautiful Borders' Dies with peach ribbon threaded through.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Have a very blessed weekend! And.......GO COLTS!!! :)

Hi, everyone!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Ann aka Dockside....congrats, Ann!! I chose this beautiful card from her amazing gallery. The image and sentiment are from 'Music Speaks', new from Our Daily Bread designs and the panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies. The background panel was dry embossed with a musical folder, then sponged with Ranger Antique Linen ink to match the image panel.

Make A Joyful Noise!
Hi again! I had so much fun with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast that I just had to go back for seconds!! I loved the green, blue, and yellow tones of this beautiful scene, so I incorporated those colors into my card. The background panel was created with a new die from Our Daily Bread designs which both cuts and debosses at the same time, called the 'Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate'. (It was inked with olive before cutting.) The treble clef is from 'Just a Note', stamped onto a piece cut out with the 'ODBD Custom Antique Labels and Border Dies' and the border die is from the 'ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies' set. The treble clef image was stamped an extra time, fussy cut and popped up over the image panel for dimension.

Burst Into Song, You Mountains!
Happy Saturday, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Stampscapes Flickr gallery.....I fell in love with the colors of this mountain scene and tried to recreate it using 'Keep Climbing' and 'Bird Borders and Corners', both by Our Daily Bread designs. After stamping in Stazon Jet Black, yellow, red, and rust inks were sponged onto the panel. After adhering to an ivory mat, paper piercing, black brads, and embroidery thread were added before popping up onto the card base.

Plum Prayers
Hi, everyone! I woke earlier than normal this morning, so had a chance to play along before work with the Ways To Use It Challenge which was to create a get well card for someone. I have also included the Clean and Simple Challenge which is to use white and one color only....I chose Pale Plum. The background was created by inking the ODBD 'Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate', then cutting out the white cardstock with it. Then I cut out a circle, stamped the sentiment from 'Flourished Verses' on the card base, and popped up the debossed panel with foam tape. When the card was complete, a few sprays of Pearl Glimmer Mist were added, however, as usual, it's camera shy!!

Rockin' Birthday!
Hi, everyone!! Hubby and I have been under the weather so I haven't felt like stamping much lately. But when I saw today's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast, I rushed to my room and made this quick card before leaving for work. Both the image and sentiment are from a new set by Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Rock Star'. The sentiment was stamped with navy Stazon onto cotton ribbon. The image was stamped once in navy and once in brown, fussy cut and popped up. Instead of the scalloped border at the bottom, I tore the edge and ink distressed it. The musical paper is out of my scrap bin....I'm pretty sure it's by Authentique. This card will go into my birthday card stash for one of my many nephews.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today.

A Look Back at the NCC December Release!!
Happy Monday, everyone! Today we are looking back at the North Coast Creations adorable December Release!! I had such a blast playing with these two sets, 'Dump Truck Birthday' and 'I Dig You'!!!
For my first card, I created a gravel pit scene with scratch paper and sponging. The construction barrel was made from one of the dies from the ODBD Custom Mini Tags Dies set (the bottom right corner on the set photo), cut out of orange and white, cut in sections and pieced together, then adhered to a punched oval. The birthday sentiment was stamped one word at a time so that it could be horizontal. The truck from 'Dump Truck Birthday' was stamped onto orange, sponged and highlighted with brown, then fussy cut and popped up with foam tape.
My second card features the tractor and sentiment from 'I Dig You' and some trees from the NCC set, 'Happy Camper'. Once again, the background scene was created with scratch paper and sponging. The tractor was stamped onto both blue and yellow cardstock, then pieced together. (Blue and yellow tractors are my fave!)

Below are the products featured in my post today:
For my first sample, I used the ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern Die set for both the popped up frame and inset die cut. The image from 'Just A Note' was stamped onto the white die cut plus again onto another scratch piece of cardstock, then fussy cut, colored, sponged, and popped up with foam tape over the image on the panel. Brown pearls and natural ribbon were the only embellishments used since I did not want to take away from the beauty of the image and the message. (P.S. This is now my fave ODBD stamp....LOVE it!!!!)
My second sample features the 'Grunge Piano Background' stamp and a sentiment from 'Sing Thy Grace'. The background was stamped twice with Versamark onto Naturals White (speckled) cardstock, then heat embossed in black. All of the keys and notes were fussy cut from one image and popped up with foam tape over the main panel, which was sponged with Kraft ink, linen thread added, then adhered to the Kraft card base. The sentiment was also heat embossed and popped up. The photo does not show the dimension very well, but it looks really cool in the real....the fussy cutting was so worth it!!
Thanks so much for hanging out with us today!! May your 2015 be filled with blessings!!!
