Hi, everyone!! Today's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use primrose, pear, and wisteria for your project. For my card, I have chosen four different patterns from a new designer paper collection from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Rustic Beauty Collection" (available May 1st). The sentiment is one of my go-to stamps; it's from "Sentiments Collection 2".
Thanks for visiting!

You Take The Cake!
Hi again! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast was too fun to resist, especially since I need a birthday card for my nephew in a couple of days. The challenge was to incorporate stars on your CAS card, so I used a scrap of Bo Bunny designer paper along with Stampin Up sets "Under the Stars" (bear), "Sassy Sayings 2", and the cake is from Our Daily Bread designs "Recipe Cards Icons" set. To match the red in the cake, I colored some of the stars on the designer paper, which was originally all brown tones.

Happy Monday, everyone!! How about a sneak peek of an upcoming set from Our Daily Bread designs?! This is a quick and easy card I made using the new "Holy Angels" set, which will be released on Thursday, May 1st. The angel wings were inked up in purple ink, then stamped multiple times in a row to create the fade effect.
Before I sign off, just wanted to remind you that Our Daily Bread designs has a huge clearance sale going on this week.....there are many stamp sets and singles which will be retired, so make sure that you check out the list before it's too late!!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed week!!

A Friend
Hello!!! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the super sweet and talented Priscilla aka catluvr2.....congrats, Priscilla!!!! I chose this beautiful card to recreate.....I loved the clean and simple cut-out design....perfect to make a birthday card for a friend. For the heart cut-out, I used the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set; the stamped image is from "Clean Heart" and the sentiment is from Quote Collection 4, all from Our Daily Bread designs. The heart image was stamped in black, then colored with shades of purple and yellow.

Inspired Graduation Cards
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from "The Grommet".....I fell in love with the colors of this phone pouch.....bright pink and soft yellow = yummy!!! I need several graduation cards this year, so I made two cards, nearly the same, but made one yellow and one pink. The image and scripture are from "As You Graduate", the background was stamped with the "Chalkboard Vine Background" stamp, and the die cuts are from the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set, all from Our Daily Bread designs. The images were stamped with Stazon Jet Black, then sponged with bright pink and soft yellow.

Happy Anniversary to my In-Laws!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is the sweet and talented Barbara Pace aka BarbieP......yay, Barb!!!! Barbara has been a long-time customer of Our Daily Bread designs, has been chosen as Customer Card of the Day several times, has been a consistent winner in the Shining The Light Challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs blog......plus, I personally am a huge fan! When I saw that Barb had been chosen for Featured Stamper, I knew that I had to find one of her beautiful ODBD creations to case......I chose this one.....I loved the simple layout and die cut border/ribbon combo.....such a pretty card! Instead of an embossing folder for the background, I chose to use the Chalkboard Fan Background stamp with gray ink. The heart border was stamped in red with the Flourish Label Borders set, the verse from Love Scriptures was stamped in black, then the panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern Die Set. The lacy border at the bottom was cut with the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set and the corner die was cut with the ODBD Custom Ornate Borders and Flowers Die Set. The tiny cross on the sentiment panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Ornamental Crosses Die Set. My card ended up vertical instead of horizontal because I goofed and cut my cardstock the wrong direction.....since the stamped background panel was non-directional, I flipped the elements and it all worked out perfectly.

Send Forth Your Light
Hi, everyone! I couldn't resist making a second card for the Inspiration Challenge.....I loved the purple, blue, and green colors of these cool sunglasses. I needed a quick masculine birthday card and the "Christian Faith" designer paper collection from Our Daily Bread designs made it so easy....I love when the designer paper does most of the work if you're in a hurry! The scripture is from The Light of Life (the printed image on the designer paper is from this set) and the dies are from the "Elegant Ovals" set, also by Our Daily Bread designs. After adhering the designer paper to the tan cardstock, the edges were paper pierced then an extra hole pierced in each corner; a large needle was threaded with linen thread and stitched through each corner....I thought the natural thread would look good with the natural ribbon which was placed under the sentiment panel.

Play Time With Lucky 3D Card
Happy Saturday, everyone! What a glorious day here in Indiana....another "open up the windows" day!!!
Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Kids section at M & S.....when I saw the image on this puzzle packaging, it reminded me of the shaped cards in some Flower Soft Digital Kits I bought last year but have never used. Ha, I thought that this would be a quick and easy card to make, however, once the shaped card and pieces were printed, it took over an hour to cut out the 3d pieces and layer them with foam tape....lol!!! It was worth it in the end, but I won't do another one of these for a while! :)
This kit was from "Play Time With Lucky" from the Elisabeth Bell - Simpler Times collection....I ordered it directly from Flower Soft. This next photo shows all of the 3d layers which gives it some great dimension.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!!

"Faux Pressed Flowers" Tutorial!
Hi, everyone! This is a card I made a year and a half ago for the Our Daily Bread designs Blog for a tutorial on the "Faux Pressed Flower" Technique....for supplies used and technique info, see the tutorial here. For some reason, I never got around to posting it to my blog or galleries. When I saw the Color Challenge over at Splitcoast (vanilla, pink, and light green), I jumped at the chance to post the card finally.

The Word of the Lord
Hello! First up is a photo of the daffodils I cut from my gardens, to share with everyone at work and the business across the street. Thank you, Lord, for your many beautiful blessings!!!
After playing along in the Featured Stamper challenge over at Splitcoast yesterday, I decided that I had to go back to Sandy's gallery and choose a second card to re-create. This card immediately caught my attention......loved the clean and simple layout and it gave me a chance to use the new "Christian Faith Collection" designer paper from Our Daily Bread designs. The scripture verse is from "The Word of God". This will be a birthday card for my Father-in-law.
Thanks for stopping by!

Jesus Loves Me, This I Know!
Hi, everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far! It's finally spring....it's official for me now since I had the windows open all day yesterday.......ahhhhhhh!!!! Later today I will cut around 30-40 daffodils to share at work tomorrow.....I'll take a photo if I can remember to!
Meanwhile, today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Sandy aka stampwithsandy.....wow, what an inspiring gallery! There are several more cards I would like to case (copy and share everything), but for my card today, I have cased this beautiful valentine card. My youngest great-niece, Kynzlie, will be turning one next week and this is her 1st birthday card. I am also making a name frame but do not have it completed yet.
The crown from the ODBD "Princess" set was stamped in black, colored with metallic markers and a glitter pen, cut out, then adhered to the heart which was cut out with the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set. The sentiment (which reminds me of my childhood....my fave church song) is also from "Princess". The designer paper is from the ODBD Heart and Soul Collection. I was super thrilled to find a package of chipboard numbers in my stash and this number one matched the pink cardstock perfectly....woo hoo, I love when that happens!!!!
Thanks so much for visiting today!

Lavender Cross
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Lisa Young aka genesis.....congrats to Lisa!! There were so many fabulous cards and projects in her gallery....I chose this gorgeous card to re-create. I loved the simple design, the purple/yellow/green color combo and beautiful layered cross. For my card, the background die cut and yellow panel were cut with the ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern Die Set, the two crosses were cut with the ODBD Custom Ornamental Crosses Die Set, and the greenery was cut with the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set.

Robin Egg Birthday
Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!! There were some great challenges over at Splitcoast this week, but sadly I was unable to spend any time stamping...until today. I always look forward to Saturday morning since I LOVE playing in the Inspiration Challenge.....this week we are to choose a photo from Pshiiit (French for "Nail Art") for our inspiration. When I saw this gorgeous aqua nail polish, I knew that the new ODBD Chalkboard Vine Background would look awesome in this color. I also wanted to incorporate the Clean and Simple Challenge, which was to use a color palette of blues and browns, so I created a nest out of a branch die from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set, stamped and cut out some eggs from the "Happy Spring" stamp set, and added a sentiment from "Sentiments Collection". I will also be submitting this to the "Less is More" Challenge, which is "a touch of turquoise".....perfect!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!!
