Be Amazing - 3D Lion

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Brian aka ZPaw.....congrats, Brian!! I chose this awesome lion card from Brian's gallery to case today.  The image from Gray Wolf Graphics and the word dies from Top Dog Dies are unfortunately unavailable to buy these days since both companies are out of business. The lion image was stamped multiple times, fussy cut, and layered to create a 3D look.  A clear glaze pen coated the eyes to make them look realistic.  For the card base, a Cajun Craze Ink pad was swiped across creating a Faux Wood look. A small hole punch was used to create the faux brads.  The image was framed with the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Oval Stitched Rows and Ovals.

Be Fierce!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast reminded me of a lion, so I dug out this 3D stamp which I bought from Gray Wolf Stamps at a stamp show many years ago. (I think they are out of business now, unfortunately.)  The lion was stamped four times and the layers were fussy cut and popped up with Foam Mounting Tape after being colored with markers. I didn't have a sentiment to match, so I cut out the individual letters and made my own sentiment.  This is for my teenage nephew who is into martial arts....this is very fitting for him. The dies used for this card are from Divinity Designs LLC: Oval Stitched Rows, Ovals, Pennant Flags, Double Stitched Pennant Flags, Double Stitched Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, and Letter board. Black metal brads were added to the corners and a clear glaze pen was used on the eyes.

Flower Soft Asian Style

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast is Rose aka rokale....congrats, Rose!  I chose this beautiful card for inspiration!  It reminded me of the many Flower Soft 3d Scenic Windows kits that I've had in my stash for a long time.  My mom loves Asian designs, so I will save this for her birthday.  Though the photo does not show the 3d layers very well, there are three layers of the scene which have to be cut out and popped up with foam tape, then multiple colors of Flower Soft sprinkles were added to the scene.  As in Rose's card, I used red and gold with a gold cord accent.  The gold mat was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies; the sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies and stamped with a sentiment from Doily Blessings.

Play Time With Lucky 3D Card

Happy Saturday, everyone!  What a glorious day here in Indiana....another "open up the windows" day!!!

Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Kids section at M & S.....when I saw the image on this puzzle packaging, it reminded me of the shaped cards in some Flower Soft Digital Kits I bought last year but have never used.  Ha, I thought that this would be a quick and easy card to make, however, once the shaped card and pieces were printed, it took over an hour to cut out the 3d pieces and layer them with foam tape....lol!!!  It was worth it in the end, but I won't do another one of these for a while! :)

This kit was from "Play Time With Lucky" from the Elisabeth Bell - Simpler Times collection....I ordered it directly from Flower Soft.  This next photo shows all of the 3d layers which gives it some great dimension.

Silent Night

Happy Friday, everyone! A few more hours and my weekend begins...yay!!

Today I would like to share a card I made using one of the 3-D Pre-cut Holiday kits that I picked up from the Our Daily Bread designs store....these are so cool....punch out the pieces, which are already die-cut, and pop them up with foam tape. The sentiment is from the "Blessed Christmas" set, the May Arts Crocheted ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy, the pearls are from Zva Creative, the Cuttlebug embossing folder is Damask, and there are several layers of "Pearl" Glimmer Mist, although it is camera shy, as usual!

Here is a close up view of the 3D layers.....pretty cool, huh? And easy too!!

I used the following challenges in the making of this card:
Fun on Friday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts: Dry Embossing;
Alice In Wonderland: "Tickets, please!" (I used a Ticket Corner Punch);
Drunken Stampers: Punch Me!;
One Stop Craft Challenge: Embossing;
Speedy the Cat's Friends' Challenge: Piercing;
Christmas Card Challenge: Inspiration Photo with red, green, candles,etc.:
Crafty Cardmakers: Dry Embossing.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed weekend!!
