Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Red, White (or ivory), and Blueberry. I do not have the new SU Blueberry Bushel ink yet, so I used Ballet Blue instead. The stamped images and sentiment are from the ODBD set, 'Anchor the Soul' and the designer paper is from the ODBD 'Nautical' Paper Collection. The banners were cut with one of the smaller dies from the ODBD Custom Large Banners Dies set and the circle was cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies set. This card is for my uncle who is recovering from a triple by-pass surgery.

A Ray Of Sunshine
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Cheiron Brandon....congrats, Cheiron!!! It was extremely tough to choose a card to case since there were so many I loved! I chose this awesome card as inspiration to help me to create this birthday card for my niece's husband (would that make him my nephew-in-law?! lol!!) I began by cutting a piece of watercolor paper with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, then adhered two masks cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (I use temporary Tombow snail adhesive since it rubs right off when you are finished with your masks.) I then sponged Coastal Cabana ink at the top over the masks and both Summer Sun and More Mustard at the bottom. The masks were removed and a little yellow was sponged over the cloud areas, then the panel was spritzed with water to mottle the inks a bit.. A sentiment from 'Hello Sunshine' was stamped in the corner plus the birds only from the fishing boat stamp in 'The Waves on the Sea' stamp set were stamped among the clouds. Instead of using a brown card base like Cheiron's card, I matted the panel in brown but used a Coastal Cabana card base. One cloud was cut out with the watercolor paper and popped up with foam tape.

Our Daily Bread designs July New Releases
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the July new release party for Our Daily Bread designs! To see the entire new release plus find out how you can win some ODBD goodies, check out THIS POST.
Here are the ODBD products featured in my two cards below:
My first card features the new awesome ODBD Custom Quilted Background Die, which was cut out using the rose pattern from the ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection and again with espresso brown cardstock. The easiest way I've found to adhere all of the cut pieces back into the frame outline is to create a sticker panel with a Xyron sticker maker, adhere the frame cut-out onto the sticker panel first, then insert each piece and press down onto the sticker. Once the pieces were inserted, the entire panel was matted in white then decorated with a sentiment and word die from the new 'Hugs' Stamp/Die Duos set, along with the ODBD Custom Mini Stitched Hearts Dies and tiny hearts from the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set (note: the tiny hearts can also be found in the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies set!)
Here is a photo of the inside of the card. Two more sentiments from the set were used, along with the Hugs die cut, plus two left-over quilt pieces.
My second card features the new 'Walk By Faith' Stamp/Die Duos set, along with the ODBD Custom Sunburst Background Die, ODBD Custom Trees and Deer Dies set, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, and the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies set. The mountains were cut out of gray cardstock freehand, then sponged with purple. The Sunburst Background has a pretty die cut edge normally but I re-cut the entire outer edge with the stitched rectangle die so that all of my pieces would have the same edge.
Thanks for hanging out with me and the ODBD team today!

Faith Changes Everything
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Serengeti Fashions....I fell in love with the colors and tropical flowers of this ladies top. For my card, I started with watercolor paper plus navy blue, medium blue, and light green inks using the Ink, Spray, and Smash Technique. Once the panel was dry, I used the ODBD Custom Frangipani Dies set and ODBD Custom Tropical Leaves Dies set with scratch paper so that the outside edges of the images could be sponged. Then the dies were placed over the sponged image and the inside patterns were sponged. The word die from the 'Walk By Faith' Stamp/Die Duos set was cut out of the panel plus cut twice with navy blue cardstock, using the Two Tier Eclipse technique (found here at SCS on the Tutorials link....note: you have to be signed in to access this page.) Once the panel was cut and framed with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set and the Faith word popped up, the only embellishments added were some green pearls.

Carte Postale Throwback
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast is a fun one....since my job was eliminated last month, I have been purging every room in the house, especially my craft room. While cleaning and organizing, I have fallen in love with my old Stampin Up sets again. For my card today, I have used the 'Carte Postale' set along with the 'Fine Lace' background stamp. This card is a bit of a throwback to an old favorite card which I had created with this set ten years ago...see it HERE. The flowers were colored by using markers direct to the stamp; both the flowers and the bird were fussy cut...there were no matching dies back then! :)

Donut Worry, Be Happy!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Hayneedle site....I fell in love with this donut print and tried to 'mostly' recreate it with this birthday card for my niece, Skylee. Though I didn't have any chevron paper, I did find a gingham pattern in the same color in the 'Sweet Shoppe' Paper Collection by North Coast Creations. The donut image and sentiment are from 'Sprinkled With Love' Stamps and Dies set, also by NCC. The icing was colored with Pink Passion and Rich Razzleberry; Smooch pearl paints were used to enhance the sprinkles; a clear glaze pen was used to coat the entire icing layer. The popped up frame and gingham panel were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies set.

The Lord is Good - Name Frame Gift
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to pay tribute to one of your neighboring states with your project. I live in Indiana and my project today features the state of Kentucky in several ways: this nameframe is for my niece who lives in Kentucky, the grassy hills represent the hilly/mountainous regions, plus being in nature in the countryside is so spiritual, hence, the scripture verse. The following items from ODBD were used to create this frame: Scripture Collection 11, Butterfly and Bugs, ODBD Custom Dies: Butterfly and Bugs, Large Letters Dies, Fence Die, Grass Hill Die, Grass Lawn Die, Clouds and Raindrops, Pierced Circles, Circle Ornaments, Flower Box Fillers. The letters were cut out three times each, once from the polka dot pattern from the ODBD 'Rustic Beauty' Paper Collection, once from white, and once from plum.
