Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share two more pages of the birthday calendar I've been working on for the last month. The August page features the 'Butterfly and Bugs' set, a sentiment from 'Little Things', and the vine from the 'Belles Vignes' set. This page will be submitted to the Falliday Fest Kellijo 'Coat of Many Colors' challenge.
For the June calendar page, I used the Our Daily Bread designs 'Strawberries' set, along with the 'Strawberries and Pickles' set. The berries were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, the seeds were colored with a yellow marker then coated with a clear glaze pen to act as a resist. Using reverse stamping, the strawberries were colored quickly using sponging. The image at the bottom was colored with markers. This page will be submitted to the Falliday Fest StampMommaB challenge.....my inspiration from the Christmas Story movie was the color red.

I'm Bananas For You!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jeanette Cloyd aka Forest Ranger....congrats, Jeanette!!! I chose this adorable monkey card to case today....it reminded me that I purchased this 'Thanks a Bunch' set and coordinating NCC Custom Monkey and Bananas Dies from North Coast Creations back in March at the Indy Stamp Show and had never used it yet. I also used the following dies from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Grass Lawn Die, ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (cloud template), ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Tropical Leaves Dies, and ODBD Custom Ferns Dies. After cutting out the monkey and bananas, I cut around the monkey's toes so that he could hold the banana with his foot.

Woodland Nameframe and Card
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Society6 store. I was looking for some help to make a nameframe and card with a woodland theme and this hilarious Vikings Metal Print was just the ticket! I was planning to use realistic animal stamps, but then went with 'Under the Stars' from Stampin Up. The bear and raccoons were colored with sponges using masking then popped up with foam tape. The trees were stamped with an un-named Inkadinkado stamp. The following items from Our Daily Bread designs were also used: ODBD Custom Grass Hill Die, ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies, ODBD Custom Pennants Dies (retired), and ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (template for sponging the clouds). Generally I do not like to mix stamp companies, but with personalized gifts, I have to use what I have on hand.
Here is a closeup of the frame scene:
This is the matching card. I used all of the same items as the frame, but added a sentiment from the 'Noah's Ark' set by Our Daily Bread designs and the panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies.

Let's Roll!
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a birthday card for one of my nephews...his fave toy is a red truck so I chose the 'Special Boy' set from Our Daily Bread designs. For the embossed background, I ran a cardstock panel through my Xyron, adhered a piece of aluminum foil to it, used a diamond-plate embossing folder on it, then cut it out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set. The image panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Squares Dies. The image was colored with SU markers and the sky was sponged over a template cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. Silver brads and black gingham ribbon were used for finishing touches. I will be submitting this to the Falliday Fest Forest Ranger 'recycling' challenge and for the October Fan Club theme since I used my Xyron machine.

Pink Birthday Chicken
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to feature a pink animal on your card. Since I needed a birthday card for one of my nieces, I chose the Stampin Up set, 'Hey Chick!' and colored her tail and top feathers with pink. The white panel was dry embossed with a bubble folder then cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies. The image panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Ovals Dies. I finished it off with some pink sequins and pink baker's twine which I just bought at JoAnn's yesterday...talk about perfect timing!! I will also be submitting this to the Falliday Fest LMcAree 'Birds of a Feather' Challenge.

Butterfly Blessings
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Tracie Clary aka taclary....congrats, Tracie!! I chose this amazing card to case today due to the striking colors and clean layout. I used the same layout and color scheme, but instead of a stamp for the background, I used the ODBD Custom Flower Lattice Die. The middle sized butterfly from the 'Trois Jolies Papillons' set was stamped in black, colored in aqua and yellow, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Tres Papillons' Dies and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from the 'Sunday School Teacher' set and the white panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies.

October Blessings Calendar Page
Hi, everyone! Here is the next finished page of the birthday calendar I am working on. The new ODBD Custom Stitched Leaves Dies were perfect to complete this page! The leaves were cut out with various polka dot patterns from the ODBD Fall Favorites Paper Collection and the ODBD Christmas Coordinating 2015 Paper Collection. Instead of stamping a sentiment, I used the ODBD Custom Blessings Border Die since it was the perfect size for the bottom of the calendar page! The tiny little accent leaves were cut from the same paper collections using the ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies.

Upsy Daisy Thank You
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Rochelle aka beechwood....congrats, Rochelle!! Her gallery is full of amazing fancy folds, punch art, and super creative projects! I have not used the Stampin Up 'Upsy Daisy' set in many years, so I chose this gorgeous card as inspiration today. Though my card is CAS, I used the same colors to sponge the background. The sentiment was masked so that only half of the sentiment stamped (the other half says 'for your friendship'). The panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and matted with olive. This will be mailed to my in-laws since they bought us a new pc when they heard that my 'dinosaur' was crashing. :)

Wild Rose Calendar Page
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Victoria Trading Company....I chose this gorgeous lawn chair to help decorate the May page of a birthday calendar I am working on for a gift. The wild roses from 'Fragrance' were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored with sponges and markers. Using masking, Ranger Antique Linen ink was sponged around the flowers as in the lawn chair. The sponging in the photo is not flattering but it looks okay in the real.

Here are the items used in my projects for today:
My first project is the September calendar page from a birthday calendar which I am working on....one page down, eleven more to go! :) The sunflower image and sentiment from 'Be A Sunflower' were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored using both masking/sponging and with markers. Please click on the photo for a larger view.
Next up is fun card I made with the following items: ODBD Custom Rounded Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Stitched Leaves Dies, ODBD Custom Blessings Border Die, ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies (tiny leaves), and a striped pattern (which I cut at an angle) from the ODBD Fall Favorites Paper Collection.
My last card is on the Clean and Simple side. I started by cutting a shaped card with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles Dies. The sunflower pattern paper from the ODBD Follow the Son Paper Collection was cut with the same die as the card base, but was 're-sized' to adjust the width. The image from 'Be A Sunflower' was stamped, cut out with the ODBD Custom Sunflower Die, and popped up with foam tape. An extra flower was stamped in order to cut out the center section and pop up for dimension.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
