Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kandie aka Kemernow....congrats, Kandie!!! I fell in love with this beautiful silhouette card, with the turquoise background and simple layout. I followed the same general design and colors, but went very CAS with my card. I am an Elvis nut and love when I have the opportunity to use these fun stamps (from Crackerbox Palace) which I picked up at a stamp show a couple of years ago. Instead of coloring the full background, I used a star stencil around the edges of the image which was inked in Stazon Jet Black and stamped three times in a row for the shadow effect. This is a birthday card for one of my nephews who I was tickled to hear also loves Elvis!!!! I will also be submitting this card to the 'Less Is More' shadow challenge.

Grow In God's Love
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to create a card out of inspiration from our sentiment stamps, plus bonus points for using the 'Sentiment Backdrop' Technique. This was a perfect opportunity to use a brand new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Sunday School Teacher'. The cross image and sentiment were stamped on Confetti Cream cardstock in black; a mask for the cross was cut out with the ODBD Custom Crosses Dies set then temporarily adhered over the stamped cross; the sentiment was stamped over the mask in Marina Mist (to match the flecks in the cardstock). Once the mask was removed, the scratch paper from which the mask was cut was placed over the image so that I could sponge the matching ink inside the cutout. One tiny blue gem was added to the center of the cross. This card will be given to one of the elders in my study group. Because of the unique background technique, I will also be submitting this card for the Fan Club monthly theme of 'Background Check'.

Let Faith Be The Bridge
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'Two For Tea'...use anything tea related or use the letter 'T'....I chose to use the letter, which is part of the ODBD Custom 'Faith Border' Die. The stamp set used is 'Safe Travels' and the panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, and ODBD Custom Circles Dies. This was a very quick card since there was no coloring involved.

I chose this awesome CAS card to recreate using the 'Anchor the Soul' set from Our Daily Bread designs. This card only took 15 minutes to make.....yay!!! The white panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. Instead of sequins, I used two navy pearls in the corners.

Blessings of the Lord
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Scor-pal Scoring Ideas Pinterest Board......I fell in love with this awesome card and tried my own version with the 'On Eagles's Wings' set by Our Daily Bread designs. The eagle was stamped on a white panel which was cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, colored with sponges and ink (using masking) and a marker (beak and talons), then the entire eagle was masked so that the aqua ink could be sponged around it. The scripture verse from 'Doily Blessings' was stamped, then the score lines were added around the image and scripture. Two 'faux brads' were added as an accent.

Hi, everyone! My card today was so quick and so fun to make! This is my newest fave set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'To My Friend'......I LOVE versatile sets like this.....I have soooooo many ideas for this set that you all will probably get sick of seeing them!! :) The framing was cut with the ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies and the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Just simple stamping with minimal layers and the only embellishment is a satin bow tied with my Bow Easy.

Happy Camper
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Sue Drees aka NEEDMORESPACE.....congrats, Sue! I really loved this beautiful cabin scene which helped me with a theme in order to create this birthday card for my father-in-law, who loves camping. I have used the North Coast Creations set, 'Happy Camper', along with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The background scene was sponged over scratch paper, stamped with the trees, and the clouds were sponged over a template cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. The camper was stamped on white, fussy cut, colored with grays, aqua, and yellow, then popped up with foam tape. An extra tree was stamped so that I could create a stump for the trailer tongue to sit on.

Happy 4th Birthday
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from this amazing Floral Arrangements Pinterest Board. I fell in love with the color combination of these beautiful flowers. For my card, I chose a pattern from the ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Paper Collection and a piece of Barely Banana cardstock (from my treasured retired stash). The rectangle panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies; the number 4 was cut out with the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies; the butterflies from 'Butterfly and Bugs' were stamped then cut out with the ODBD Custom Butterfly and Bugs Dies; the sentiments are from the 'Celebration' set. Since I do not own blending markers, I used a clear glaze pen on the outlines of the butterflies to act as a resist, then sponged the yellow and purple. I love to color with sponges for a smooth, subtle look. This is a birthday card for my great-niece who I swear was just a baby yesterday!!! :)

Take Me Home Country Roads
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'The Wheels Go Round and Round'. My 'wheels' are on this vintage truck from the Artistic Outpost set, 'Home'. I picked up this awesome stamp set at the Our Daily Bread designs booth at the Indy stamp show last month. 'Vintage' is not my normal style, but there were a couple of AO sets on my wish list for a while. I started out by cutting the ivory panel with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set before stamping. The sentiment is part of the truck stamp, so I used masking to stamp the truck alone and to stamp the sentiment on a separate piece in order to cut the words apart. Using masking on the truck, the trees were stamped in the background. The card base was swiped with rust and brown ink pads to create the 'faux wood' look. Antique copper brads were used as accents.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Get ready for extra posts from me this weekend so that I may do some catching up on cards I've created recently!

To My Friend
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Donna aka pink_lady....congrats, Donna!!! I was drawn to this gorgeous card because the white embossing looks so cool on the kraft cardstock! For my card, a kraft panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Squares Dies, the images and sentiment from the ODBD set, 'To My Friend', were embossed in white, the edges were sponged, then the panel was matted with white. Three white sequins and linen thread were added for embellishments.

God Is Good All The Time!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Anita Kerjiwal aka anitak160.....congrats, Anita!!! Anita was a guest designer for ODBD last year and it was so great to get to know her!! I chose this awesome CAS card to recreate today for a co-worker's birthday. Instead of adding an extra embossed panel, I chose to mask, sponge, and stamp directly onto the card base. The clock and sentiment are from 'God's Timing' and the dies used are from the ODBD Custom Matting Circles Dies.

God Loves You!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from the Fluevog Shoes site.....I chose these awesome shoes to help with a birthday card for my nephew. The gray/blue combination was so striking! For my card, I used two different grays but chose a more subtle shade of blue. The knight from 'Armor of God' was stamped, cut out with the ODBD Custom Suit of Armor Dies, colored with sponges and markers, then popped up with foam tape over panels cut with the ODBD Custom Lavish Layers Dies and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The sentiments were stamped with the 'Pennant Flag Verses' set, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.
