Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a color collection from Design Seeds to inspire your project. Since my first card was so quick and easy, I'm back for another round! This time I chose this awesome color palette to help in creating a birthday card for one of my nieces who asked for a purple card with a unicorn. Purple...no problem! Unicorn....eek! Since I did not have a unicorn stamp, I dug out one of the very first horse stamps I ever bought and drew a horn. Note: this is the extent of my artistic ability....lol!!!! All of the white areas were colored with a clear Glaze Pen then the rest was sponged with lavender. Though the camera did not capture it, the horn and hooves were colored with a glitter pen. I have also used these items from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Pennant Flag Verses, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (template to sponge clouds). The paper I chose is from an older Prima collection....I loved the swirled colors and thought it had sort of a fantasy-type look to it.

Whimsical Wildflowers Birthday
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to choose a color palette from Design Seeds to inspire our projects.....I chose this floral collection with the yummy purples and yellows. My card was super quick and easy to make...yay! First, I cut a panel from a design from the ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Paper Collection with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, cut a curved section out with the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies, sponged the edges, adhered to the yellow card, then added the sentiment cut with the ODBD Custom Happy Birthday Script Die. Purple pearls were added as the only embellishment. I will also be submitting this card to the CAS-ual Friday's ''Celebrations'' Challenge.

Chinese Lantern CAS Thank You
Hi, everyone! My card today was created for the Clean and Simple 'Thank You' Challenge plus the Technique Lover's 'Festive Paper Lantern' Challenge. I dug into my dusty Stampin Up sets and found 'Too Terrific Tags' which had the perfect stamp....oriental flowers with a thank you sentiment....score! The tag was stamped onto scratch paper twice and two different masks were cut...one to mask everything but the sentiment and one to mask off the border and sentiment so that only the flowers would stamp. I used an ivory shade of vellum, cut an oval with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies, stamped the flowers all over, colored them with markers, added score lines (which the camera did not pick up), then added to small strips of gold metallic cardstock and gold cord. The designer paper is Bo Bunny; the frame was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Squares Dies. Some yellow gems were added to coordinate with the gold.

Inspired Faith Collage
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge makes me want to go shopping for clothes, which I normally hate to do! We are to choose an ensemble from Audrie's Conference Attire Pinterest Board for inspiration.....I fell in love with the colors and patterns in this photo. Since I did not have an alphabet embossing folder, I clear embossed the 'Chalkboard Word Collage' background stamp on Lucky Limeade cardstock, then cut it out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. I didn't want to cover up the embossed background, so I cut out the ODBD Custom Faith Border Die for a sentiment. The border strip was cut with the ODBD Custom Flower Lattice Die since it looked so much like the black lacy cuff in the inspiration photo. Some gold cording and gold metallic dots were added since there were touches of gold in the photo.

Precious Girl ATC
Hi, everyone! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge is to create a night-time scene, with a bonus of sparkle. Once again, I remembered an ATC which I made many years ago but never posted anywhere. The moon and stars are highlighted with a glitter pen, but the camera angle did not catch the sparkle. The little girl and sentiments are from the 'Precious Girl' set from Our Daily Bread designs. Her nightgown was paper pieced with designer paper and the rest of the scene was colored with sponges.

Winter Window
Hi, everyone! Today I am taking my last vacation day of the year and I am celebrating by creating a "just because" card. Most everything I create is either for my HUGE personal birthday list or for design team commitments, but today I'm playing just for fun in the Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast which is all about windows. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs for my window card: 'Warm Wishes' set (snowman scene), ODBD Custom Window Die, ODBD Custom Curtains and Valance Dies, the pre-printed sentiment and designer paper 'wallpaper' are from the ODBD Christmas Card Collection 2016, and the other dies used are the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Stitched Ovals Dies, and ODBD Custom Ovals Dies.

Faith Will Move Mountains
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Paulette aka parknslide....congrats, Paulette!!! Wow, what an awesome gallery....it took a while to decide on just one card! I fell in love with the bright, sunny colors of this beauty. For my card, I had some floral stamps picked out but once I sponged the orange and yellows on the circle, I switched gears and used the 'Keep Climbing' image and scripture verse from 'Mountains'. To coordinate with the mountains which were stamped in kraft ink, I used the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies with kraft cardstock. The image panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Circles Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies. The ODBD Custom Faith Border Die with the ODBD Custom Deco Border Die along with linen thread replaced the fancy trims and birdie on Paulette's card, but kept the same shape of the layout. Instead of gems at the bottom, I added three brown pearls to the image panel.

Inspired Sympathy Cards
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a ceramics Pinterest board. Unfortunately, I have several sympathy cards to make so I chose two different ceramic pieces for two different cards.
For my first card, I chose this photo since the flowing petals reminded me of a calla lily. The set I used for this card is 'Loving Memories' by Our Daily Bread designs. The image was stamped onto a panel cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set, colored with markers and water-coloring, then masked the image and sponged a blush color around the image.
This beautiful vase inspired me to create the second sympathy card, on which I used the 'Dragonfly' single, along with a sentiment from 'Loving Memories'. The ivory panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, stamped the dragonfly in Stazon Jet black, colored with markers, then clear-coated with a Glaze pen for a resist effect to keep the wings light. The panel was sponged with green and gray to match the inspiration piece, then piercing was added instead of embellishments so that it would be easy to mail.

Birthday Bot!
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is to base your project on a song.....my song pick is 'Mr. Roboto' by Styx. This is a birthday card for my nephew, who is in a robot battle club. I tried to recreate one of the battle robots but they were too complicated, so I decided to create a robot character instead. Along with the sentiment from 'Pennant Flag Verses', here are all of the items from Our Daily Bread designs which were used in this design: ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies, and the ODBD Patriotic Paper Collection. The robot and pennants were cut from red and silver mirror paper, which is super challenging to photograph! After cutting the squares and pennants, I used the leftover scraps with the stitching for the limbs, hands, and neck.

The Armor of God
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Mary aka octoberbabe....congrats, Mary! I chose this beautiful card to case; the layout stayed the same but I turned it into a masculine design for my dad's birthday. The knight from 'Armor of God' was stamped twice on white, the full image and separate shield were cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Suit of Armor' Dies, colored with markers; the shield was popped up with foam tape. The two intricate die-cut frames are from the ODBD Custom 'Layered Lacey Ovals' Dies; the added layers were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies and ODBD Custom 'Pierced Ovals' Dies. The background paper, cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Pierced Rectangles' Dies, is from the ODBD Americana Quilt Paper Collection.....the pattern in the paper looks like mini shields so I thought it was a good fit. The leftover outline of the designer paper was adhered to the inside of the card as framing for the message panel.

Blush Beatitudes
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from the Anthropologie site....the soft blush color of this throw pillow won me over! For my card, I started by stamping the 'Chalkboard Vine Background' in Blush Blossom ink (retired), over-stamped in black with 'The Beatitudes' stamp, then cut out the panel with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The mat was cut from white with the ODBD Custom Lavish Layers Dies, stenciled with the same blush ink, then adhered onto the Blushing Bride card base. I did not want to take away from the powerful words, so the only embellishments added were pearls in the corners. Please click on the photo for a better view.

Keep the Faith - Inlaid Die-Cut
Hi, everyone!! For my card today, I tried the inlaid die-cut technique and it came out better than I expected....yay!! Both the light blue paper from the ODBD Pastel Paper Pack and the floral paper from the ODBD Americana Quilt Paper Collection were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, then each was cut to piece together for one panel. The new ODBD Custom Faith Border Die was cut out of the light blue piece and cut again from red cardstock. The red die cut was then pieced into the cutout on the blue panel. The ODBD Custom Decor Border Die was cut from white cardstock and adhered below the Faith border. The partial sentiment from 'Ornate Border Sentiments' was stamped, using masking to block the Navy baker's twine and navy pearls were added for embellishments.

Taste and See - Chocolate Chip ATC
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Cookies'!! Though I did not have time to create something new before work, I remembered that I had never posted this ATC card which I made about eight years ago when I worked for Christian Paper Crafts. The scripture verse is from a set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Fruit of the Spirit' and the chocolate chips are from a Stampin Up wheel stamp. A scalloped punch was used to 'take a bite' out of the cookie. :)

Nautical Birthday Blessings
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Shannon Horch aka scrapaholic007....congrats, Shannon! After cruising her entire awesome gallery, I finally decided on this super cute card to re-create since I loved the layout and masculine feel to it. For my card, I combined her border and fussy-cut word and used the ODBD Custom Blessings Border Die instead, along with the 'Friendship' set, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Layered Lacey Ovals Dies, and the ODBD Nautical Paper Collection.

Our Daily Bread designs December New Releases
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the December new release party for Our Daily Bread designs! I am in love with the entire new release this month! If you haven't seen all of the new stamps and dies, check them all out in one post HERE! For a chance to win one of three gift certificates from Our Daily Bread designs, follow the instructions below:
Here are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs which are featured in my two projects below:
For my first card, I cut out four borders with the ODBD Custom Deco Border Die from pearl metallic cardstock (stenciled with Stazon lavender), taped them with temporary tape to an A2 size card base (5-1/2 x 4-1/4), then mitred the corners together. I'm thrilled that the borders were the perfect size to do this without a lot of fuss!!! Once all of the corners were cut, the four pieces were glued to the card base using craft glue. The center panel was stamped in eggplant with 'The Beatitudes' stamp onto floral designer paper from the ODBD Easter Card Collection 2016, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. These words are so powerful, so they get full attention here; the only embellishments added were pearls in the corners. (Please click on the photo for a closer look.)
For my second card, I started by cutting out the fancy oval panel out of textured tan cardstock using the ODBD Custom Ornate Ovals Dies, then stamped in eggplant with 'For Thine is the Kingdom'. The oval panel was layered over a plum panel on which the 'Ornate Background' was stamped in eggplant, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Sheer ribbon and purple pearls were the only added embellishments.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
