Hi, everyone! Our cruise vacation was a blast (will share some photos soon), but now I've got some stamping to catch up on! For this card, I've combined quite a few challenges from the past week at Splitcoast:
Inspiration Challenge: I chose the top postage stamp from this photo;
Technique Lover's 'Line Up' Challenge: doodle by hand or draw lines around your image;
Clean and Simple 'April Showers' Challenge: baby or bridal showers, rain showers, etc.;
Color Challenge of Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, and Sahara Sand;
Featured Stamper Challenge: belated congrats to Mary Johnson aka maryj68....I chose this beautiful card from her gallery to recreate.
I will also submit this to the Shining the Light 'April Showers Inspiration' Challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog.
Since I have no Wild Wasabi, I started off with some Prima papers from my stash which had both green and pink for the color challenge, for the background and the sections of the umbrella. The sentiment is from 'Shower of Blessings'. The umbrella and (lots of) pink hearts were cut out with the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies, the pink borders were cut out with the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies. The edges were sponged with Sahara Sand, then hand-doodled. Lining up the tiny pink hearts took a little while, and though they are a bit crooked, I just had to follow the theme from Mary's card.
My second card is also for the Inspiration Challenge......I chose this gorgeous Amethyst stamp for my inspiration. The shaped card was cut out with the awesome new ODBD Custom 'Layered Lacey Squares' Dies, layered with the Romantic Floral Designs frame cut out with SB Labels 26 dies, stamped in lavender, and lyric from 'How Great Thou Art' stamped in eggplant. The floral spray was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Fancy Foliage' Dies and ODBD Custom 'Ornamental Crosses' Dies. Note: the three shades of purple did not photograph well.....they look much better in the real.
Thanks for visiting!

CAS Thank You Cards
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Sue aka gregzgurl.....congrats, Sue!!!! I fell in love with this gorgeous clean and simple thank you card....still needed two simple thank you cards to take on our cruise which we will be going on very soon....yay! On both cards, I used the 'Chalkboard Fan Background' and a sentiment from 'Sentiments Collection' each from Our Daily Bread designs. Each strip was cut at 2-1/2" so that they would fit through the center of the die which I used to cut the bottom only. Once each strip was positioned, I used repositionable tape to hold it in place, then ran through my Grand Calibur for a couple of cranks only and then reveresed it back out, just enough to cut through the end but to keep any die impressions from embossing on the rest of the panel. (See photo below.)
Once each panel was cut, the edges were sponged and sentiment stamped. I was tempted to add pearls or ribbon to the top of each, but chose a small strip of matching cardstock instead.
Thanks for stopping by!!
God bless!!

How Sweet The Sound
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from one of the gorgeous scenes from this Pinterest 'Shafts of Light' gallery......I fell in love with this awesome scene and thought it would be perfect for the 'Amazing Grace Sheet Music' Background from Our Daily Bread designs. The sheet music was stamped onto a white panel, the edges were sponged in Daffodil and Tangerine (plus a few light rays in the center), then stamped with various stamps from the 'Bird Borders and Corners' set. The large Amazing Grace sentiment from 'How Sweet The Sound' was stamped in black, fussy cut, edges sponged, then popped up with foam tape over some tangerine ribbon, tied with a Bow Easy.
Thanks for visiting!!

Flower Soft Magnet
Hi, everyone! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is all about pot.....haha, wanted to see if you were paying attention!!! I'm talking about flower pots of course....happy spring!!!
I created this magnet five years ago for a Flower Soft Tutorial on the Our Daily Bread designs Blog, but never posted it on my own blog or gallery. I used Flower Soft Gold Peel Off Stickers, Country Taglets, original 'Lilac' Flower Soft, along with 'Raspberry Fizz' and 'Citrus Crush' Flower Soft from the Ultra Fine line, an EK Success Scripture Sticker, and May Arts Satin Ribbon (tied with a Bow Easy).
Thanks for visiting with me!

A Look Back at the North Coast Creations March Release
Hi, everyone!! Today we are taking a look back at the North Coast Creations March Release. My designer sisters and I have all new samples to share with you to get you in the mood for coffee!!! I am soooo in love with the coffee themed sets and I know I will use them often!! Below are the two sets I chose to work with this month:
My first card today features the 'What's Brewin'?' set, along with two dies sets from sister company, Our Daily Bread designs. The shaped card was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Ornate Hearts' Dies and the tiny hearts are from both the ODBD Custom 'Umbrellas' Dies and coordinating ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies. The coffee cup was stamped in Stazon Fuschia Pink, fussy cut with paper snips and exacto knife, edges sponged in chocolate brown, then popped up with foam tape for dimension. After popping up the little pink hearts with foam tape as well, I added some stickles to give them a little glitz.
My second card features the 'Warm My Heart' set, along with the ODBD Custom 'Doily' Dies set and ODBD 'Rustic Beauty Paper Collection'. I wanted to bring out the blackberry color from the ODBD polka dot pattern so after stamping the cup onto vanilla cardstock, the top and bottom of the cup were colored with a sponge dauber with blackberry ink, then the 'insulator sleeve' was colored with a matching blackberry marker. The little heart from the stamp set was then 'paper-pieced' from the same designer paper.

Grace Will Lead Us Home
Hi, everyone! Hope you are having a blessed 'Resurrection Day' today and that you are mindful of the true meaning of today....the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Stef Perry aka dahlia19....congrats, Stef!! I chose this beautiful card to copy and share because I loved the layout, loved the Island Indigo color, and masculine theme. My card features the new 'How Great Thou Art' set (love!!!), the ocean scene from 'The Mighty Sea', and the 'Fishing Net Background', all from Our Daily Bread designs. The scene was inked in Baked Brown Sugar, stamped off, then stamped onto a white panel; the hymn lyric was overstamped in Island Indigo. The edges were sponged heavily, the panel was double matted, paper pierced, then popped up with foam tape over the card base which was stamped in Versamark with the Fishing Net Background. I did not add a button to the baker's twine like Stef's card since I needed it to be fairly flat to mail.

Inspiration Within
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find 'Inspiration Within'....that is, find inspiration on your own blog or in your own gallery. It was kinda fun cruising my own gallery....so many things I had forgotten about (and some that I wish I could forget! lol!!!!) My in-laws are having an anniversary in a couple of weeks, so I chose this card to recreate since I know my MIL will love it. I've been hoarding this piece of designer paper from the ODBD 'Heart and Soul Paper Collection'....today was the day to cut into it! The verse is from 'Love Scriptures' and the border die was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Beautiful Borders' Dies set, then threaded with satin ribbon. I changed the colors of the card base and ribbon, plus used a different scripture. Other than threading the ribbon through the die cut, this was a super quick card.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a blessed weekend!!

Unending Love
Hi, everyone! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'flower power'......I have chosen a pattern from the Our Daily Bread designs 'Shabby Rose Paper Collection' with roses and butterflies, along with the 'Amazing Grace Sheet Music' Background, a sentiment from the coordinating 'How Sweet the Sound' set, along with the Butterfly Single and small butterflies cut from the 'Stamped By Butterfly Mini'. After the hymn was stamped onto the designer paper, the panel was turned over and I traced the outline of the custom 'Butterfly Die' and cut it out by hand. Note: this die has 'alignment holes' on the outside of the image, so I could not simply cut the butterfly from the dsp with the die. The 'Butterfly Single' was stamped on white, sponged with pink, blue, and kraft then the sentiment from 'How Sweet The Sound' was overstamped in black. The hymn panel was sponged, paper pierced, then popped with foam tape for dimension over the butterfly which was adhered to the card base. The little butterflies are from a 'Stamped by' clear stamp (for the back of cards) but it's such a perfect size to cut out for embellishments. Pink pearls were added to the corners.
I will also be submitting this to this week's ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, which is 'Anything Goes with ODBD Stamps'!
Thanks so much for visiting!!

Our Daily Bread designs April New Releases!!
Hi, everyone!! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs April New Release party!!! It may be April Fool's Day, but there are no pranks here.....just some gorgeous new stamps and dies to share with you!!! Below are the new (and previously released) items featured in my post today:
My first project features the new 'How Great Thou Art' set, along with the eagle image from 'On Eagles' Wings', and the mountain scene from 'Keep Climbing'. The song lyric and mountains were stamped in black onto a white panel, the mountains and trees were colored with sponge daubers and markers, the clouds were sponged over a scalloped circle. The eagle was stamped on a separate piece of cardstock, colored with sponge daubers and markers, fussy cut, then popped up with foam tape. Paper piercing, metal brads, and linen thread were added as embellishments.
My second sample features two sentiments from 'Shower of Blessings', the ODBD Custom 'Umbrellas' Dies, the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies, and two patterns from the ODBD 'Shabby Rose' Paper Collection. I had fun using the 'Negative Die Cut' technique with the new dies....the umbrella outline and clouds were cut away from the panel, then the die cut umbrella sections were inset into the negative. The 'Rain, Rain, go away' sentiment is actually one stamp, but I stamped one half at a time in order to balance out the card. I guess I was in a 'kraft' mood, since I used kraft cardstock and linen thread on this project as well! :)
Here is a sneak peek I shared this weekend, which features the new ODBD Custom 'Layered Lacey Squares' Dies, four tiny hearts from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies, and the 'Special Girl' stamp set.
