Win Stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs!

I am so excited......I have many things to share with you today!!!

Have you been on the fence about trying some stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs? Well, now you have two chances to get them FREE by playing in two different challenges sponsored by ODBD over at Christian Paper Crafts!!!

The first is a membership drive from August 31 to September 4. Tell your friends about Christian Paper Crafts to sign up and participate. In the Referral section when they sign up, all they have to do is put your name. We will tally up the results at the end of the week and the winner will receive a newly released stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.

The second challenge is a posting challenge, September 7 through September 11. When you make comments in the gallery, this also counts as a post. Let us know what your number of posts are at the beginning of the challenge and what they are at the end of the challenge. The winner will also receive a newly released stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.

A special board will be set up for the second challenge for you to post your starting and ending numbers. We look forward watching our community grow to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and glorify Him in everything that we do!

Today's card is both a sneak peek for a new set, called "Get Well", from Our Daily Bread Designs, plus another combo challenge! There are so many fun challenges each week, but not enough time to do them all, so combo it is!! Anne's Inspiration Challenge today over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from Creative Wall Coverings site......I chose this wallpaper border which matched my fabric swatch perfectly. Julia's Ways To Use It challenge was to make a vintage card...this fabric has been in my stash for 20 years....that makes it an antique, right? Wendy's Limited Supply Challenge was to make a gift card holder, use at least one butterfly, plus incorporate chocolate cardstock.....this was all in celebration of her birthday yesterday....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WENDY!! Over at Christian Paper Crafts, Cindy's Fun On Friday challenge was to use fabric on your project....this is MY VERY FIRST sewn card....with my sewing machine, that is!! And I saved the best for last....Michelle aka Tolep8nt is the featured artist for Case Artist Saturday over at CPC.....check out her awesome gallery HERE or her blog HERE. I chose this beautiful card to case. Congrats, Michelle....you are a sweetheart and a talented artist too!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a blessed weekend!!!

Bible Verse Thursday Sketch Card

Gosh, it's Thursday again already! Time flies when you're insane...I mean...when you're having fun!!!! Life does get hectic sometimes, but it is sooooo worth it! God has blessed me immensely and I'm so happy to be able to pay it forward!!!
Today's card I made for Christian Paper Crafts' Bible Verse Thursday Challenge. This week's challenge is to make a "tall card", or any type of "tall design" scrapbook layout, etc. Also, use Romans 8:28 (or any scripture you might have about the Lord's great blessings).
I have also used Janette's Color Monday challenge to use Black and White plus one color...I chose Kraft as my bonus color to match this gorgeous dp from Basic Grey, called "Ambrosia". And thirdly, I used this week's sketch challenge from Splitcoast Stampers ...it just seemed to fit perfectly with a tall card design. This verse is from "Scripture Collection 1" from Our Daily Bread Designs. The sentiment panel was cut, embossed, and stenciled using Spellbinders Labels Four....the black frame I cut by hand after tracing the die (since the next sized die was too large). The ribbon is from May Arts and the Butterfly punch is by Martha Stuart.

Stay tuned later this week for news about two exciting contests on Christian Paper Crafts, where you have a chance to win stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs!!!! How cool is that?!

Case Artist Saturday Challenge

Today's featured artist for Case Artist Saturday over at Christian Paper Crafts is Jen aka Miss Boo. The Lord has blessed Jen with the gift of encouragement......she gives the best "Gallery Love" to many, many stampers every single week and has a monumental favorites list every week also!! Not only does Jen have a HUGE heart, but she is the Queen of Clean and Simple cards!!! I'm hoping for some lessons!!! I chose this beautiful card since I need to practice making simple cards. Since I needed to make a birthday card for my brother, Frankie, I went ahead and incorporated the SCS Limited Supply Challenge to make a masculine card and the Ways To Use It Challenge to use something fuzzy......fun fibers it is!!!
The stamps I used are from Our Daily Bread Designs, called "You Are The Potter". The pots were colored with markers, then painted with "Pumpkin" Smooch, which looks like copper. Stay tuned Monday for a Product Review on ODBD's Blog on how to use Smooch!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed weekend!!!

Wild Raspberry Door Hanger

This door hanger is for my neice, Leah, who will be 14 next week! I will be making a matching card later this week. So, you know me, I like to kill many birds with one stone....I combined several challenges together. The first two are from Christian Paper Crafts: Alisa's sketch challenge, plus Cindy's Fun On Friday challenge to make a bookmark, tag, or door hanger. This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Pylones store, which is filled with creative, fun, and colorful items! Plus, as soon as you click on their store link, a little bird instantly starts singing to you....how "tweet"! I chose this teapot for my inspiration....the beautiful color combo reminded me of some dsp I have called "Wild Raspberry" from K and Company. The teal pearls are Basic Grey Opaline, and I stamped the sentiment with "Siren" colored Smooch. Please note: to stamp with Smooch, you have to paint it onto the stamp, stamp it quickly, then clean your stamp immediately because it dries very quickly and you don't want to ruin your rubber with paint! It's so worth the trouble, because the metallic letters look so cool....better than embossing powder!!!

Hey, have you heard about the new challenge site, Stamping Sisters in Christ? Click on the gorgeous glittery button on the right to see the very first challenge, which happens to be hosted by Our Daily Bread Designs. You have until next Saturday to upload your entry there for a chance to win the "Happy Birthday" set from ODBD!!! Good luck!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned tomorrow for a link to the Smooch Tutorial and Product Review on the ODBD blog! Have a blessed day!

Bible Verse Thursday Cross Challenge

Hi everyone! Welcome to my second week as challenge hostess for Bible Verse Thursday at Christian Paper Crafts! I never realized how fun it would be to be a challenge hostess.....I love it!!! This week's challenge is to incorporate a cross in your project....either embellies, stamps, ribbons, etc......or get creative....make a cross-shaped card!!! Oooh, I'll have to remember that for later!!

While I was designing this card, I thought I may as well incorporate a couple of other challenges as well. Janette's Color Monday Challenge at CPC was to use Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, and Perfect Plum. This dsp from Memory Box, called "Poppyfinch" was perfect for this challenge! I also used Roxie's Sketch Challenge from Splitcoast Stampers.
The stamp set I used is "Jesus" from Our Daily Bread Designs. I think this image of Jesus is so peaceful and beautiful! The gold frame is actually from a package of place-card frames I found at Michael's on clearance.....I KNEW I would find a use for them!!! I did take the backing off since I didn't need the pop-out cardboard stand. The verse was stamped on a Labels Four die-cut which I trimmed down to make a tag. Added paper piercing, sponging, satin ribbon, gold brads, and a gold cross charm.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed day!!!

Multi-Challenge-Combo-CAS-Card

Today, I'm hoping to climb out of my rut of inaction. Haven't had much time to create lately, so I'm making up for it with a multi-challenge-combo card!
Today's featured artist on Christian Paper Crafts is Melisa Waldorf....you know her as Paperlicious Designs on Splitcoast. Melisa is uber-talented....it was tough to choose a card to case, so in order to combine with Cindy's "Fun On Friday" challenge yesterday to make a CAS card, plus Janette's Color Monday Challenge to use Red, Black, and Kraft, I chose this beautiful card by Melisa to case. I have also combined these challenges from Splitcoast: Jeanne's Limited Supply Challenge to use a summer theme, Jen's Clean And Simple challenge to show off your bling, and Stef's Inspiration Challenge to choose an item from The Curiosity Shop (I chose this Birds Card.)
The stamp set I used is Our Daily Bread Design's "Sing To The Lord", one of my all time faves! It was extremely tough to make a CAS card, especially while combining so many challenges. I had to reassure myself that it was OKAY to leave the top of the card totally blank.....well, I DID spray it with Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist!!! The blossoms were highlighted with "Siren" Smooch for a little bling. (Stay tuned for a Smooch tutorial in the next week or so!)

More exciting announcements:

The very first on-line edition of the Christian Paper Crafts Magazine is now available for download.....here!

We have another new Design Team Member over at Christian Paper Crafts......Heather Brown!!! Heather is extremely talented and fun and will bring so much to our community.....can't wait to get to know her better!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a totally blessed day!!!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since my last post....life gets crazy sometimes!! Last weekend I worked at the Our Daily Bread Designs booth at the Cincinnati stamp show....what a blast, but crazy-busy!!! I'm really looking forward to the next one I'll be working at, which will be in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in October. Hey, if you want to know if Kelley and the gang are coming to a show near you, check out the "Stamp Shows" link on the ODBD homepage!

Okay, announcement number one: I am the new "Bible Verse Thursday" challenge hostess over at Christian Paper Crafts!!! Unfortunately, Taylor had to step down due to personal reasons, but I was more than happy to step in and help out. Each Thursday I will choose a different verse for everyone to use, plus throw in a little twist with techniques, tools to use, etc. This week the verse to use is Ecclesiastes 3:1 plus use a monochromatic color scheme on your project. This scripture stamp is from the ODBD Anniversary Collection, called "Scripture Collection 1". I used one of the new Stampin' Up colors, Rich Razzleberry, which matches the K & Co. "Madeline" dsp perfectly! I used the Martha Stuart Fleur de lis border punch, Spellbinders Labels Four, Basic Grey Opaline Pearls, retired Organdy ribbon from SU, retired Mauve Mist ink for sponging, and my fave....Pearl Glimmer Mist over everything!!!. The layout design is from the sketch challenge this week over at Splitcoast, although I flipped it on its side.

My second big announcement is that we have three new Design Team Members over at Christian Paper Crafts!
Chelsea Cook is our "Wait For The Lord Wednesday" hostess, where she will give away an RAK to someone in need each week. Check out yesterday's post here.
Mary Collins is a wonderful, sweet addition to our team and has been an encouragement to others since the beginning of CPC.
Natalie Houston has also helped to build a very strong foundation at CPC with her knowledge of the Word and lifts up others daily.
I am personally blessed each day by our entire team, which includes Marcelle Shauer, Patter Cross, Janette Olen, and CPC's founder, Cindy Coutts! What an awesome mission Cindy has started. Come on over and check out the Bible Studies, Daily Devotionals, plus anything about papercrafting!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed day!!

Another Card for August Release Day

Okay, this is the LAST challenge card for the Dare To Get Dirty challenges on Splitcoast this past week. I'm getting this in just under the wire before the special gallery is closed! This was StamperSharon's challenge to make a black and white card, with a splash of red.

I made this card for two dear friends, Linda and Ron, who had both lost their spouses during the past few years, and have recently fell in love! They will be married next Saturday!!! They are both deserving of a lifetime of happiness....God has blessed them! Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the wedding. I will be in Cincinnati at a stamp show, working the ODBD booth, so I will send this card to them this week before I go.

I have used a brand new release from Our Daily Bread Designs, called "Happy Birthday". This set is so versatile....I am so happy that it has a couple of birthday sentiments, plus some other awesome verses, like the one I have used, which can fit any situation!!! Scroll down to my previous post for a look at the complete set.

Card details:
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Shimmery White
Ink: Stazon Jet Black
Stamps: "Happy Birthday" set from ODBD
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels Four, Cuttlebug Textile EF, Hero Arts Pearls, May Arts Ribbon, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed weekend!

ODBD New Sets for August

Well, July has come and gone in a flash....wow! Today is August 1st and you know what that means......new sets from Our Daily Bread Designs!!! My first card is from our "Happy Birthday" set. I'm so thrilled to have birthday sentiments to go alongside our gorgeous stamp line!
I used three Splitcoast challenges for this card: Jami aka sgt.stamper to use only shades of blue; Kittie aka kittie747 to make a scene; and Wendybell's Limited Supply Challenge to use only one stamp and have punches or die-cuts as your focal point. This was a very fun card to make...hope you like it!

My next card is showcasing a very special set, of which I gave a sneak peek on Monday, called "Jesus". I chose to highlight one of the verses from this set. I used the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast, to choose one of the awesome aprons from Heavenly Hostess. I chose this apron because of the gorgeous colors and design....this K and Co "Wild Raspberry" paper matched it very well, so I kept it simple and let the paper and verse do the talkin'! I used Spellbinders Labels Four, Prima flower, Hero Arts Pearls, May Arts Sheer Ribbon, ODBD Olive Ink, and finished everything off with a generous spray of Pearl Glimmer Mist...I LOVE that stuff!!!

It was sad saying goodbye to Guest Designers Kathy Jones aka Wattle and Grace Nywening aka scrappigramma2.....Kathy and Grace were just like family in the "Breadbasket" and wow did they rock those ODBD sets!!!
I am proud to announce our new Guest Designers, Loretta Lock aka LorettaL and Wendy Wexler aka Wendybell! They have already created some masterpieces with these new sets!

And check what these awesome "Breadsticks" have done with the new sets:
