Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from 'The Company Store'......when I saw this colorful pillow, it reminded me of the 'Sweet Shoppe' Paper Collection from North Coast Creations. The festive colors in the paper led me to the 'Llama Tell You' stamp set. The llama was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, fussy cut, then watercolored slightly with blush on his face and ears. The following cutting dies from ODBD were also used: Double Stitched Rectangles, Double Stitched Ovals, and Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.

In Everything, Give Thanks
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to show a message of gratitude on your card. I've been looking through my old Stampin Up sets this week and realized that some have not been used in ten or more years! So, for my card today, I combined the turkey from 'Turkey Talk' and a scripture verse from 'Happy Harmony'. Some punched leaves were added for a fun embellishment. I will also submit this to the Fan Club Central Theme of 'Holiday Happiness' for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Two Quick Cards for Featured Stamper
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is one of my ODBD designer sisters, Helen Gullett aka HelenG.....congrats, my Sistah Stick!!!!! (Our team at Our Daily Bread designs lovingly call each other 'Breadsticks', hence the 'Sistah Stick'!) What an awesome gallery Helen has, full of Bible Journaling, Mixed Media, Clean and Simple, and more...I finally decided on this gorgeous card since I need to force myself to do more ink techniques. I needed to make a thank you card for a friend at work who has been helping me with a difficult transition to a new position there, plus she is just plain awesome as a human being and I want her to know how much she is appreciated!! For the background on my card, I used the Ink Spritzer technique (on a craft sheet since I didn't have a page protector) with Pink Passion and Blackberry Bliss inks. The butterflies are from the 'Trois Jolies Papillons' set by Our Daily Bread designs, the sentiment is from 'Sentiments Collection' cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies set. The image panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. Since I forgot to add some ink splatters like on Helen's card, I added some sequins instead.
The second card I cased from Helen's gallery is this gorgeous card. I loved the layered trees and thought it would be perfect for a masculine birthday card! The trees were stamped with an un-named stamp from Inkadinkado in Certain Celery, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow. The sentiments from the Stampin Up set, 'Happy Everything' were stamped in Mossy Meadow and Certain Celery. The panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Some linen thread was added to match the Crumb Cake card base.

Frangipani Calendar Page
Hi again, everyone! My first card today was pretty quick, so I'm going back for a second helping of the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast! When I saw this Lemon Verbena diffuser, it reminded me of the frangipani (plumeria) flowers from the stamp set 'Sweet As Perfume' from ODBD. I've been working on a birthday calendar for my mother-in-law and I'm so excited to use this stamp set for the July page. Backstory: Hubby and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon (over 25 years ago) and brought back some Plumeria starts (which looked like cigars). My mother-in-law and I both planted the starts; mine only lived about a year but hers flourished and grew to be about six feet tall! Once a year it would bloom and it was pure joy!!!!

Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Agraria San Franciso....I fell in love with the rich colors of this bath and body ensemble and used them to create a birthday card for a co-worker. For my card, I used a sentiment from 'Rose' and the following dies, all from ODBD: Trees and Deer Dies, Curvy Slopes Dies, Sunburst Background Dies, Pierced Rectangles, Pierced Circles, and Double Stitched Rectangles.

Live In The Sunshine
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at splitcoast is Tapdancer....I chose this beautiful 'Bare Tree' card to case today. It reminded me of the Artistic Outpost set, 'The Outpost', which has a giant tree image. This will be a birthday card for one of my adult nephews. The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored with sponges using masking; the sentiment was cut apart, sponged and adhered separately. The panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and linen thread was added at the bottom as twine was added to Tapdancer's card.

January Calendar - Colorful Snowflakes
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from Balsam Hill....I loved the gorgeous colors of this ornament set and decided to stamp multi-colored snowflakes and sentiments on the January page of the birthday calendar I have been working on for the past month. For this calendar, I've been trying to use permanent ink whenever possible since it may be used for years to come, so I chose the closest Stazon ink colors I had on hand to match the inspiration piece. The following stamps from ODBD were used: 'Snowflake Sentiments', 'Snowflake Mini' Set, 'Snowy Blessings', and 'Sparkling Snowflakes' (retired).
