Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from this Pinterest Board of baby nurseries. I loved the plum/aqua color combination of this gorgeous room, so I incorporated the colors into a graduation card for my niece. Both the image and scripture are from a new set by Our Daily Bread designs, called Cherry Blossom, which will be available June 1st.

Clean and Simple Foxglove / ODBD Sneak Peek!!
Hi, everyone! Long time, no write! Hubby and I were on a cruise for our 22nd anniversary and I did not have time to schedule any posts before we left. I will post some photos soon, I promise!!
Today is the first day for Sneak Peeks using the June releases by Our Daily Bread designs......I am using a new set called "Bloom" (available June 1st) which features a beautiful foxglove image, plus some sentiments and a scripture verse. This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is "May Flowers", so I made this one layer card before work this morning.

Angry Birds Birthday
Hi, everyone! Today's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast was absolutely perfect for the card I have been wanting to make for my nephew's birthday. Though I have never played Angry Birds, nor do I know a thing about it, thanks to many talented stampers at Splitcoast, I was able to glean some ideas and create the Angry Bird with punches and dies (if he has a name, please share it with me!) The card size is A2....I'm not sure the measurements of the different elements of the bird....it was a bit of trial and error to get the correct proportions. The hillside was punched with an EK Success border punch, the stars are Creative Memories, the eyebrows are a word window punch, the tuft is a flower punch, the beak is a square which was cut into pieces, the tail was cut by hand, and the circles were dies and punches.

I was able to incorporate all five colors into my card....the two greens for the stems and the other three for the tulip blossoms. The image is from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Tulip Corner" and the sympathy sentiment is from a new set this month called "Carried To Heaven".

Our Daily Bread
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers is NancyK.....congrats, Nancy!!!! I chose this beautiful CAS card to recreate in order to make a birthday card for a co-worker. I have used the "Our Daily Bread" stamp set (retired) from Our Daily Bread designs. My friend's favorite color is "British Racing Green", so I used the closest color of green I had in my stash along with a rust color. It didn't turn out like what was in my mind, but I hope that he likes it.

Mother's Day Morning Glories
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to choose an item from Ralph Lauren's website as inspiration for your project. I needed to make three Mother's Day cards and wanted to use the morning glories stamp from the Our Daily Bread designs set, "Glory", but needed help figuring out the design. When I saw this satin blouse, it led me to the baby blue satin ribbon and the card was born!! The image on the sentiment panel is the "Flower Border" single (cut out with SB Labels 18 die), the sentiment and "Mom" stamp are from the "Mom" set, also from Our Daily Bread designs. (I LOVE how the Flower Border goes so well with the "Glory" set!!!) The flowers were colored with a light blue and a green marker, then highlighted with a Glitter pen for some sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!

Clean and Simple Birthday
Happy Monday, everyone!! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to case a card from Angela Maine aka Arizona Maine.....she has the most fabulous CAS gallery!!! I needed a masculine birthday card, so I chose this beautiful card which features the negative of a die cut. The designer paper is from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Christian Faith Collection" and the scripture verse is from the "Dad" stamp set.
After cutting the leaf from the gray cardstock, I cut a leaf from the designer paper. The gray panel was popped up with foam tape and the designer paper leaf was adhered to the bottom card base to show some dimension.

Mercies New Triple Challenge
Hi, everyone!! This morning I woke early and had enough time to make a card which covers three challenges at Splitcoast....woo hoo!!! The Clean and Simple Challenge is to choose a card to case from Angela Maine's awesome gallery.....I chose this beautiful card. The Technique Lover's Challenge is overstamping (stamp a sentiment over an image) and the Color Challenge is black, white, and pool party with the dessert option of stenciling.
I cut an A2 white card, then cut the same size out of scratch paper, taped a square die onto the scratch paper, cut out the square, then used the paper as a stencil to sponge and stamp onto the white card. The image and scripture are from the new "Glory" set by Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
God bless!!

Glory of God
Hi, everyone!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jeannie1862.....congrats, Jeannie!!! I really liked the layout and ribbon treatment of this beautiful card. Instead of using an extra layer on top of designer paper, I stamped the morning glory corner image twice to make a frame with the scripture in the center. Both the image and verse are from a new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Glory". The flowers were colored with a white chalk marker then a light blue marker for highlights. Instead of using a charm, I chose to make a satin bow with my Bow Easy.

Power In Whispered Prayers
Hi, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to find inspiration from the World Market......I fell in love with this intricate table lamp......too bad it doesn't match my house, or I would have ordered it!! :) It reminded me of some of the intricate die sets by Our Daily Bread designs, the ODBD Custom Angel Wings Die Set and ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set. I dug into my stash and found both copper and bronze metallic cardstock and decided to combine the two. The angel wings were cut from both colors, then the copper cut pieces were embedded into the bronze wings. To do this, the copper wings were removed first from the die, then I used wide Scor-tape across the back of the die to lift the cut pieces all at once, then laid the the bronze wings over the cut pieces and trimmed the excess tape from the edges. The sentiment from "Holy Angels" was embossed in copper on the shimmery white paper, plus copper embossing powder was sprinkled randomly and heated from the underside so that it would "cure" without being blown off by the heat gun. A glitter pen was used to highlight the embossed areas of all of the die cut pieces, including the polka dots on the tiny heart and the raised area on the key (from the Angel Wings Die Set).
Since metallics are difficult to photograph, I have added an extra view.
Thanks for visting today! Have a blessed weekend!!

These are the products I have featured for my sample projects below, a combination of new and previous releases:
My first project is a framed photo of our son who would have turned 21 in March. The moment I saw the new ODBD Custom Angel Wings die set, I knew that I had to use them with this cherished photo. The wings were cut from white shimmer paper and were highlighted with a glitter pen. The light blue frame was cut with the ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern Die, layered with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Die set (the photo, its mat, plus the sentiment panel). The sentiment is from "Carried To Heaven".
Next up is a fun card which I cut out with the ODBD Custom Apron and Tools Die Set. The hand-cut morning glories and sentiment are from the new "Glory" set, and the two designer papers are from the yummy new "Rustic Beauty" designer paper collection.
The next two cards were shared earlier this week as sneak peeks. The first features the Holy Angels set and the 2nd shows off more of the "Rustic Beauty" designer paper and Sentiments Collection 2.
Thanks for spending time with us today! Hope you have enjoyed the new products and team samples!!
God bless!
