Hi, everyone! Today I have another birthday card to share. This week's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast Stampers is the sweet and talented Faith aka yabbadodo......congrats, Faith!!! After cruising through her amazing gallery, I chose this beautiful card to re-create using the North Coast Creations set, "Heaven's Masterpiece". The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to choose an item from "Lilly Pulitzer" for your inspiration.....I love the colors in this beautiful dress, so I sponged aqua, coral, and pink for the background of my silhouette scene.
Thanks for stopping by today!! Before I go, I just want to remind you that you will no longer see my posts in your Google reader since it will disappear after today. If you are subscribed via Google reader, please head over to my blog and subscribe via email instead.
God bless!

"Thinking of You" for Featured Stamper
Hello! This week's Featured Stamper over at SplitcoastStampers is Tina Hale aka tinahale38.....congrats, Tina! Wow, what a gallery .....it is massive and has many different types of projects (trays, gift ideas, boxes and treat bags, etc.) plus super gorgeous cards too!! I chose this beautiful card to re-create.....I loved the clever, simple design and the black dots placed creatively around the circles (I was going to copy this, but after using the embossing folder, I decided to use paper piercing on the circles instead).
I have used the "Find Beauty" set by North Coast Creations. I had a scrap of Boho Chic designer paper, so I used ink and paper colors to match it.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: North Coast Creations 'Find Beauty';
Cardstock: SU Pool Party, Strawberry Slush, Very Vanilla;
Designer Paper: Boho Chic;
Ink: Stazon Jet Black and SU colors for shading;
Accessories: SU Fancy Fan EF, SU Seam Binding Vanilla, Bow Easy, Circle Punch;
Size: A2.

CASE for Queen Lori!
Hi, everyone! This week's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast is one of my Design Team sisters from Our Daily Bread designs, Lori Ulrich aka saintsrule.......congrats, Lori girl!!!!! She is super talented and has the most fabulous gallery! I chose this beautiful card to re-create, using the "Precious Girl" set by ODBD. I loved the quilted background, so I created a different style of quilt, using one of the sentiment stamps from the "Precious Girl" set stamped onto squares stamped with the "Gingham Background".
The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find an item from Shop Thomas Paul.....I fell in love with the soft colors from this Tweeter Ornament Set, so I based my card around these colors.
Please forgive the crooked sentiment.....it was stamped onto the image panel straight, but when I was adhering it to the Spellbinder die cut (Opulent Ovals), the adhesive grabbed on before I was ready...EEK!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Gingham Background' and 'Precious Girl';
Cardstock: SU Pistachio Pudding and Whisper White;
Accessories: Spellbinders 'Opulent Ovals', Paper Piercer, foam tape, sponge daubers;
Size: A2.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a blessed weekend!!

Adopt the Pace of Nature!
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a birthday card for my friend, Jo, who will be 85 years young this weekend! Seriously, other than a few more wrinkles, she is more "with it" than I am in my 40's!!! Her favorite color is yellow, so I used daffodil and coral along with the new "Heaven's Masterpiece" set from North Coast Creations. In case you are not aware, Our Daily Bread designs is the parent company of North Coast Creations. If you like going to stamping/scrapbooking shows, you might check out their Show Schedule HERE........you can visit both companies; their booths are usually set up side by side.
The card base was cut out with Spellbinders Scalloped Squares and the image panel is Square Nestabilities. So often we all use our fancy shaped die cuts.....this time around, I thought I'd go with a more basic approach. The silhouette from "Heaven's Masterpiece" was inked first in daffodil yellow, then I used a coral ink pad around the edges (the Rock and Roll technique). Paper piercing, Zva pearls and a simple white bow were added for finishing touches.
Thanks for stopping by!

North Coast Creations June New Release Blog Hop!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the North Coast Creations June New Release Blog Hop! This month there are three amazing new silhouette stamp sets.....I will be sharing two of those sets with you here today!
Please visit each of the designers listed below, to see some gorgeous samples of the new sets. Once you have visited them all, please head over to the NCC Blog and let us know that you have finished. You have until June 17 at 9 pm EDT to complete the hop. There will be two winners of a $10 gift certificate to the NCC store towards stamps; winners will be announced on the NCC Blog on June 18th.
My first sample features the "Find Beauty" set, which includes a beautiful silhouette, three sentiments and one quote. I used various dies from the Spellbinders Labels One and Grand Labels One sets to cut out the card and layers. The top panel was colored with sponge daubers with green, coral, and pink ink pads. The designer paper in the background is Bo Bunny "Little Miss". The butterfly "trails" were paper pierced with an ornare piercer and the outside of the panel was pierced by hand with my standard sized piercer.
My second sample today features "Heaven's Masterpiece", another gorgeous silhouette set; this one includes one image, four sentiments, and two lovely quotes! The espresso brown shaped card was cut out with the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares die set and the matting and image panel were cut out with Square Nestabilities. The image was stamped in dark brown ink and the background was sponged in pink.

Krafty Eagle
Hello! This time around I would like to share another patriotic card created with the "Home of the Free" set by Our Daily Bread designs. When I first got this set, I tried several different techniques and layouts, and I ended up with several unfinished cards, of which this card was comprised. Yeah, it's not my best design, but I do like how the eagle looks against the Kraft paper, colored with markers and a white gel pen. The Alpine border punch is from EK Success.
Thanks so much for visiting today!
Blessings to you,

Sun and Shield
Hi, everyone! This is a birthday card for my brother-in-law, which I created using the "oldie but goodie" stamp set "With Heartfelt Sympathy" (cattails and dragonfly) along with a scripture from the "Bookmarks - Scriptures" set, both from Our Daily Bread designs. The card design was cased from this lovely card by this week's Queen For The Day, Phyllis aka Tater.....congrats, Phyllis!! I am also using the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, to create a masculine or Father's Day card.
The background was sponged, using scratch paper masks and sponge daubers. After matting, paper piercing and grosgrain ribbon was added. I love masculine cards......they like 'em plain and not too many "doo-dads", although I did use a glitter pen on the dragonfly! :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Our Daily Bread designs June New Release Blog Hop!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs June New Release Blog Hop! If you have hopped here from Kathy's amazing blog, you are in the right place. If not, please head to the ODBD Blog and start from the beginning....we don't want you to miss a thing! Hop to each designer's blog, then head back to the ODBD Blog and let us know that you have finished. You have until Sunday, June 2nd at 8 pm EDT to complete the hop. There will be four winners for this hop....one each of a $15, $20, $30, and $40 gift certificate toward stamps at the ODBD Store. (Gift certificates must be used during the month of June.) The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on June 3rd.
For my first project sample today, I have combined the "Precious Girl" set along with the "Children's Prayers" set. The background scene was stamped with the "Bookmarks - Trees" set and framed with the ODBD Window Die Set.
I started out by laying out the stamps I wanted to use to see what size to cut my designer paper and cardstock. Once the main shape was cut, I traced one of the Labels 26 dies and cut the ends by hand, then used a Circle Nestabilities Spellbinders die to cut out the hole for the hanger part. Once the window was cut out, I used the shape to hand-trim the background scene's cardstock piece, which was colored with sponge daubers and ink pads, then dotted with a glitter pen to mimic a starry sky.
Here is a close up of the window scene:
My next sample features the "Home of the Free" set, which is perfect for any kind of patriotic card.....Memorial Day, Independence Day, Father's Day, or to create cards to send to Operation Write Home for our soldiers perhaps.
This one is a CAS (clean and simple) design. The star was stamped across some designer paper, sponged the edges, added some burlap ribbon and navy pearls after stamping the sentiment at the bottom.
Here are two sneak peeks I shared throughout this past week, using "Precious Girl" and "Home of the Free":
Thanks so much for hanging out with us today! Your next stop is with the fabulous Audrey!!!!
