Unity Sponsor Month Continues at Christian Paper Crafts
Happy Monday, everyone!! Counting down to Thanksgiving....YAY!!!
November is winding down, but we are still in full swing showcasing our sponsor, Unity Stamp Company, at Christian Paper Crafts. Though I had two cards planned for today, my 18-yr old Kitty was injured lastnight and I didn't get the second one finished yet.
When I started this card, I had something else in my head, and I'm not sure how I got here, but I kinda like how it turned out.....even though the copper embossing powder and I had quite the battle! This set is called "Simple Blessings". The leaves and sentiment were embossed with Ranger Copper Embossing Powder on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then painted with Smooch pearlized paints. For MORE shimmer, I sprayed the finished project with "Irridescent Gold" Glimmer Mist. (The ribbon I found in the $1 spot at Target!!! Score!!!) Click on the photo for a closer look!
I used a few challenges for this card also....love to kill many birds with one stone, ya know? Over at Splitcoast, the Ways To Use It challenge was to make a project with the theme of "Giving Thanks"; the Limited Supply Challenge was to make a "Long and Tall" card; and the Stamping Sisters In Christ Challenge was to make a Thanksgiving card.
For more Unity projects from our DT at Christian Paper Crafts, check out our Design Team Delights gallery. We will continue to post Unity projects there for the rest of the month. Thanks again, Unity!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a blessed day!!

Birthday Owl...With A Cherry On Top!
This is a birthday card for my older brother, Brian. He is a die-hard outdoorsman and I usually make some kind of scene with deer, etc. However, I was in a silly mood, so this is what I ended up with!
This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is one of my all-time-favorite-artists!!! And I do mean "artist"....it's Birgit aka Biggan!!! Her unique and creative style is like no other I've seen....check out her gallery HERE. I chose this awesome card to case. Also, the OCC Color Challenge this week was to use Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin, and white. (Hope the cherry doesn't disqualify me! Wink!) The owl I used is from the Stampin' Up set, "Good-goody Gum-drops", which I have had for a year and not used yet! The owlie and cherry were painted with Smooch Pearlized paints. The designer paper is Basic Grey "Indian Summer". For the finishing touch, I added some suede strips which I sponged with Chocolate Chip ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Hope your Sunday is restful (and full of football! Go Colts!!!) God Bless!!

Aimoobaroo Inspiration Challenge
How fun is that name, "Aimoobaroo"? Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose from many different fabric buttons from the Etsy store called "Aimoobaroo".
It's my step-mom's birthday this week, so I chose these buttons as inspiration for her birthday card. Since the weather has turned toward winter, I thought something cheerful and "summer-y" would be a great idea....what says summer more than strawberries? I paired up Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry" paper with ODBD's "Happy Birthday" stamp set and my new Martha Stuart Flower Bed border punch. Today at Christian Paper Crafts, my dear friend, Marcelle, who blesses us with the Daily Bread devotionals each week, is the featured artist. (Her daughter, Rebecca, is in the hospital with some serious issues due to diabetes....please pray for her safety and recovery.) I chose this beautiful card from Marcelle's gallery to case. For this card, I also used Betty's Color Challenge at SCS to use red, artichoke, and chocolate. A new challenge site I just discovered, called "Color Throwdown"...I love this site..I will be playing there often!! Their color challenge this week is ALSO red, green, ivory, and chocolate!!
BTW, I DID cut out all of those little strawberries by hand, then covered them in Ranger Glossy Accents! The corner accents are the punch-outs from the border punch, also "glossed up"! (DH said to me, "You don't waste a thing, do you?" He's so cute!!!)
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Stay tuned Monday for another post to showcase Unity Stamp Company, our sponsor this month at Christian Paper Crafts! God Bless!!

Bible Verse Thursday Gratitude Challenge
It's Thursday again already!!! One more week until Thanksgiving!!!! Since there won't be a BVT challenge at Christian Paper Crafts next week, I thought we could incorporate a bit of Thanksgiving spirit into this week's challenge.....in the form of gratitude and thankfulness! You all may be tired of fall colors by now, so use any colors or images you like.....as long as you incorporate your favorite verse about gratitude. I have learned that having gratitude for ALL that we have, ALL that we have been through, and ALL that we will receive in the future, etc., is the key to happiness! The Lord gives us exactly what we need at all times, even though it is hard to see it sometimes. When we feel as if we are "lacking" for something, we are not being grateful and we are not focused on our many blessings! While you're searching for that perfect verse to use today, take out a pen and paper....make a list of everything you are grateful for. Read that list each and every day...add to it when something else comes to mind, no matter how small it may seem. Before you know it, any feeling of "lack" will be long gone!!!
My card sample this week was based on several challenges. Alisa's awesome Sketch Tuesday Challenge was a total blast to work with. Her sketch worked beautifully with Jen's Clean and Simple/Vera Bradley Inspiration challenge over at Splitcoast this week. I chose this gorgeous Peacock material....a perfect opportunity to break out this super cool paper from K & Co "Wild Raspberry"! For my Bible Verse Thursday Challenge, I have used "Give Thanks" from Our Daily Bread Designs.....this set is awesome for Thanksgiving cards, but can be used anytime for thank you cards or to just show how thankful we are for God's love and blessings!! Julia's Ways To Use It challenge at SCS was also about giving thanks. I have also used the Pile It On Challenge this week to use three flowers and five pearls....too fun!!! The butterflies were cut and embossed with Spellbinders Nested Butterflies, the flowers are by Prima (Thanks, Chris!!), the teal pearls are Basic Grey Opaline Pearls, the CB EF is "Victoria", and the whole thing is covered with "Pearl" Glimmer Mist!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a blessed day!!!

The card I made does not have a friendship theme, however, I made it for a dear friend who needs some strength and encouragement right now. Friendship is more than just being there during the good times, but it's all about just simply "being there"! I have used the "Jesus" stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs, along with Memory Box "Butterfield" designer paper, and a wooden cross I picked up on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN this summer. I stamped the Jesus image onto vellum, colored Him with markers and adhered the vellum directly to the designer paper. Using a circle punch and mask, I sponged the "halo" around Him. I wanted the card to have a very "natural" feel, so used linen thread and a few chocolate colored brads. Jesus and His word are the stars here!!!
Thanks again to our sponsors and to Anne House for organizing what ended up being the largest blog hop I've ever seen.....isn't our God great?!
From here, you will be hopping to Cheryl Nyboer's blog. Enjoy the hop and have a blessed weekend!!

Bible Verse Thursday: Sing To The Lord!!!!!
Happy Thursday, everyone!! It's time for the Bible Verse Thursday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts. This week's theme is all about singing....to the Lord, that is! There are very few people I know who are NOT moved by some type of music. The more I listen to contemporary Christian music and the more I read in my Bible about singing to the Lord, the more I think about how afraid most people are to express themselves and just let it all go for Him......not caring who is watching or how you look.....or how you sound! So, why don't you give it a try? Throw your hands in the air and dance and sing your heart out!!! It's amazing how good it feels to the soul to just forget about everything and focus on God's love!!!!
Okay, I'm back down to earth now!! :) So, the challenge for today is to focus your card, layout, or project on "Singing To The Lord"......I can't wait to see where this takes you!!! (And if you're like me, you'll do some singing while working on your project!!)
For my card this week, I used Alisa's Sketch Tuesday Challenge and Heather's Color Monday Challenge, to use Banana, Celery, and Cocoa. When I saw the sketch, I instantly thought of making windows.....the Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry" paper punched with the Martha Stuart Doily Lace Border Punch made the perfect valance, while "Sing To The Lord" by Our Daily Bread designs was the perfect set for the scene PLUS the verse!!! Finished it off with some cocoa ribbon and Zva pearls.
Make sure you come back first thing Friday morning.....we will be revealing this month's sponsor over at Christian Paper Crafts....very exciting!!! We will be having a blog hop with prizes, and wait until you see the projects our DT has been working on!!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed day!!

Bible Verse Thursday "REJOICE!"
This week's Bible Verse Thursday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts is to choose any verse with the word "Rejoice". I also ask that you search your heart and share reasons why you "Rejoice" in your own life. The verse I chose, Philippians 4:4, from ODBD's "Christmas Verses", along with that ENTIRE CHAPTER, reminds us that no matter what we have, we should be content because we have Him. Verse 13 reminds us that we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us and verse 19 assures us that God supplies ALL of our needs. There are so many things in my own life for which I am grateful; many things which cause me to "Rejoice", but the number one reason to rejoice is the hope that we have through Jesus Christ!!
This card was such a joy to make....starting with a verse like this, how could it NOT be a joy?! The layout comes from the Sweet Stop Sketch this week, plus the Stamping Sisters In Christ challenge is to make an encouraging card with a reminder that God is always there for you....I thought this verse was perfect for a reminder of just that!
Card details:
Stamps: ODBD "Christmas Verses"
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, K and Co "Que Sera"
Tools: Martha Stuart Doily Lace Border Punch, corner rounder, paper piercer and mat pack, Martha Stuart Butterfly Punch
Accessories: May Arts Embroidered Satin Ribbon, Zva Pearls, Pearl Glimmer Mist
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Many blessings to you!

"Time With Angie" CAS Card
Today is "Spending Time with Angie" over at the ODBD blog. Each week one of the "Breadsticks" are featured....this week, it's little ole me!!!
For today's project, I am stepping out of my comfort zone.....into the Twilight Zone.....um, I mean, the Clean and Simple zone!!! The new sets this month from Our Daily Bread designs speak so much for themselves that there is no need to "over-do it". My project is highlighting one of the sentiments from "Luke 2:11", Basic Grey "Wassail" designer paper, Basic Grey Opaline Pearls, Spellbinders Labels Four, Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink, ODBD Olive Ink Pad, and one of my fave products...."Pearl" Glimmer Mist.
I have used a several challenges to make this card. Heather's Color Monday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts was to make a holiday project using traditional red and green. Also Jen aka Miss Boo over at Splitcoast provided a Clean and Simple sketch challenge this week. And Betty's Color Challenge at Splitcoast is to use neutrals with a POP of color. I embossed my vanilla cardstock and dsp panel with Spellbinders Impressabilities and stenciled them with Antique Linen.
Don't forget about the ODBD Blog Hop still going on right now....you have until 8 pm EST tonight to submit your "secret words" to Grace for a chance to win ALL THREE NEW ODBD SETS!! Please see this post on the ODBD blog for the details. Also, you have until Sunday, November 15, to submit your "Shimmery Holiday Card" for the ODBD DT Challenge....with a chance to win $30 in store credit!!
If you'd like to see some GORGEOUS samples using the new stamps sets, check out the ODBD Card Gallery HERE. Thanks for stopping by today!!! God Bless!!

ODBD NOVEMBER BLOG HOP AND CHALLENGE
Happy November, everyone!!! I've got some exciting news to share!!! There are two chances to win goodies from Our Daily Bread designs! Here's Scoop #1:
This months' DT challenge is for you to make a holiday card with SHIMMER!! There are so many cool ways to add shimmer to any project, whether it be Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Shimmerz, or my new fave......Smooch!!! Kelley has stocked the ODBD store with some AWESOME shimmery designer papers from SEI, with either metallic or glittery designs, plus the Prismatic Metallic Papers !! You have until November 15th, 8 PM EST, to link your project HERE . ODBD stamps are not necessary, but we would love to see them if you've got them!! The random winner will win a $30 dollar credit from the ODBD store!!! Have fun and good luck!!!
Now...here is Scoop #2:
Today is ODBD's New Release Blog Hop, with a chance to win ALL THREE NEW SETS!!! To be eligible to win the stamps, you must visit each of the Design Team member's blogs and play in what I call a "Scripture Scavenger Hunt". Collect a "secret word" from each blog, along with the DT member's name, leave a comment on each blog, return to the ODBD blog and leave a comment that you have completed the hop, then send an email to Grace, our DT coordinator, at gnywening@yahoo.com by 8pm EST on Nov. 3rd with the names and secret words. The random winner will receive all three sets shown here!!! Good luck!!!
So.....if you have hopped here from LORELIE's blog, you are in the right spot to continue. If not, please start at the ODBD BLOG. Your next stop from here is Debi. Just in case there is a missing link in the chain, the next blog after Debi is Becca.
Before you go, you'll need my secret word: He
Now, for my card details:
I have used the Flowerpot Pocket Card Tutorial from Splitcoast...very easy and fun...you'll have to try it! I thought a flower pot would be perfect for the poinsettia image from "Blessed Christmas", especially with this gorgeous copper designer paper from SEI, called "Rosice", and the copper cardstock from the "Prismatic Metallic Paper" line. The poinsettias were embossed with Versamark and Ranger Copper Embossing Powder on watercolor paper, painted with Glimmer Mist, and topped with copper Stickles. The verse from the "Luke 2:11" set was stamped with Stazon Timber Brown over the poinsettia stamped with ODBD Terra Cotta. Both pieces were sprayed with Copper Glimmer Mist when finished.
Thanks for stopping by!! Have fun on the hop!!!! Good luck!!!
