Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast is Rose aka rokale....congrats, Rose! I chose this beautiful card for inspiration! It reminded me of the many Flower Soft 3d Scenic Windows kits that I've had in my stash for a long time. My mom loves Asian designs, so I will save this for her birthday. Though the photo does not show the 3d layers very well, there are three layers of the scene which have to be cut out and popped up with foam tape, then multiple colors of Flower Soft sprinkles were added to the scene. As in Rose's card, I used red and gold with a gold cord accent. The gold mat was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies; the sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies and stamped with a sentiment from Doily Blessings.

Thank My Lucky Stars!
Happy Saturday! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find inspiration for your project from the Minimalist Pinterest Board.....I'm a sucker for navy and white, so I chose this awesome room to inspire my CAS card. The white panel was embossed with a striped folder to mimic the bead board behind the bed in the photo, then was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies. The star images and sentiment from 'Superstar' were stamped in navy blue; the stars were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Stars and ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies set. No sponging, no piercing, no foam tape....I'm very happy with the short time this took to make.....yay!!

Have A Beautiful Day!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jenny Alia....congrats, Jenny!! I chose this beautiful CAS card to recreate using the Floral Sentiments 5 set by North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). The image was stamped in black, colored with mauve and pear markers, cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies, and layered over a strip of designer paper from the ODBD Easter Card Collection 2016 pack. I love this layout....can't wait to use it again...thanks, Jenny!!

The Mountains Sing
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Total Wall Covering store.....I fell in love with the stunning colors of this African sunset, so incorporated them into this birthday card for my brother-in-law. The image panel was cut out of ivory cardstock with the ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies set; the mountain image from 'Keep Climging' was stamped several times across the panel; a circle mask was temporarily adhered while the panel was sponged in So Saffron, More Mustard, and Cajun Craze; the panel was matted with black cardstock cut out with the ODBD Custom Stitched Rectangles Dies, paper pierced, then popped up with foam tape over a Cajun Craze card base. After the mask was removed, the scripture was stamped. This will also be submitted to the Fan Club central theme gallery for 'Songs From The Heart' and the Word Fun challenge: T = trees, U = uncolored sun, N = nature, E = eagle. The basic card layout was cased from this gorgeous card created by my Sistah Stick, Lori Ulrich....thanks, Lori!!

In God's Hands
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I'm playing along with the monthly Our Daily Bread designs Shining the Light Challenge again....isn't this a great sketch? I needed to make a get well card and this pattern from the ODBD Christian Faith Paper Collection was perfect for this layout. The scripture is from the 'God's Hands' stamp set, on which this piece of pattern paper was originally designed. The scripture panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Circles Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies set. Since this is a masculine card, I used square silver brads instead of pearls, plus navy twill ribbon instead of frilly ribbon with a bow.

There is still plenty of time to submit your own sketch card....head over to the ODBD blog today!

Blessings On The Way
Hello, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to incorporate the letters L-O-V-E in your card. L = lumber, O = old mill , V = vegitation, E = embossed die cuts. This was a super quick card I made for a co-worker's birthday. I love this old mill image from the 'Living Water' set from Our Daily Bread designs....it's perfect for those who are not great at coloring, like me! The sentiment is from 'Many Thanks' and the card base was stamped with the 'Wood Background'. The image was stamped with kraft ink onto a white panel cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Double Stitched Rectangles' Dies, stenciled the edges with kraft and navy, cut a navy mat using the ODBD Custom 'Rectangles' Dies, then added some paper piercing and denim ribbon.
Before I go, just wanted to remind you that there is a HUGE cutting die sale at Our Daily Bread designs.....check out the details HERE!

Birthday Bunnies with Paper Tole
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Michele G.....congrats, Michele!!! There were so many gorgeous cards to choose from, but I finally decided on this adorable card. I love the circular design with the partial fence at the bottom...super cute!! For my card, I printed out a digi card kit I bought from Flower Soft several years ago, fussy cut and popped up all of the paper tole pieces. The fence is the ODBD Custom Fence Die and the sentiment is from 'Doily Blessings'. This will be a birthday card for my niece who loves bunnies and her fave color is pink. Since I don't have any bunny stamps, this digi kit was the way to go!
Here is another view which shows the layers of the paper tole.....took a while to cut them all out and place foam tape on the back, but it's well worth the effort to create such dimension. (Click on the photo for a close up.)

Let Your Dreams Set Sail
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose one of the color schemes from 100 Brilliant Color Combinations.....I loved the colors of number 33, Fun and Tropical. These colors were perfect for a sailboat and sunset scene. For my card, I started with the North Coast Creations set, 'Sail Away'; the image and sentiment were stamped on a white rectangle cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Double Stitched Rectangles' Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom 'Rectangles' Dies. The clouds, boat, sails, and touches of waves were coated with a clear glaze pen, which acted as a resist as I sponged the background colors. I left the white rectangle panel inside of the die while sponging to protect the white edge. Paper piercing was added at the last......I messed up and had to fix it by piercing a double row, then added faux stitching. This card is proof that I should not stamp when I'm under the weather! ;) The card base was stamped with the ODBD 'Fishing Net Background' stamp. Baker's twine was added as the only embellishment.

Precious Little Boy
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from the Nail Art Pinterest board. I was searching for inspiration to help me create a baby shower card and my 'Aha' moment came when I saw the blue and white polka dots in this photo. Okay, I didn't go with the snowman theme, but I built the card around this blue polka dot (and coordinating light blue) designer paper from the ODBD Pastel Paper Pack. Usually, I make baby cards (and name-frame gifts) to match the nursery theme, however, my brother and his wife just moved and haven't decided on a theme yet (or a name!), so I used the lamb image from 'The Shepherd', cut him out with the ODBD Custom 'Little Lamb' Die, and popped him up with foam tape over a background sponged using a template cut from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies. The sentiment is actually two stamps combined from the 'Little Boys' set...with three paper-pierced holes to connect one stamp to the next. The little blue hearts were cut using the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies set. The basic layout of the card is from the ODBD Shining the Light Sketch Challenge.

Here are the new and previously released items featured in my samples today:
For my first card, I have used my favorite ODBD stamp set, 'The Shepherd'.....this is the cutest little lamb image and I was over the moon when I first saw the new ODBD Custom Little Lamb Die!!! This card was super simple and quick to make. After cutting the banner shaped panel out of the floral designer paper from the ODBD Easter Card Collection 2016, the scripture from 'Many Thanks' was stamped onto the designer paper. The little lamb was stamped, cut out with the custom die and popped up with foam tape over a panel cut out with the ODBD 'Stitched Ovals' Dies, sponged using a cloud template cut from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies, then matted with an oval cut from the ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies. Paper piercing and baker's twine were the only added embellishments.
My second card features the new ODBD Custom 'Thank You' Die....I love the flourish design and the embossed portions look great stenciled or just plain. The beautiful plaid background paper is from the ODBD Pastel Paper Pack. Both the background and ivory frame were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Double Stitched Rectangles' Dies. The little flowers were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Pretty Posies' Dies, embellished with pearls and a glitter pen.
Here is a view of the inside. I used the leftover designer paper frame from the die cut rectangle panel on the front of the card, a sentiment from 'With Much Thanks', plus an added flower and leaves cut with the ODBD Custom 'Pretty Posies' Dies.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!
