This week's amazing artist is Karen aka *1 wacky woman*.....how about that for a fun username?! Definitely check out her gallery.....Karen sure knows how to use color and there are so many fabbie designs, including some intricate piercing work! I would have cased one of those, but I wasn't up for the many hours it would take to complete!
I chose this adorable card....I really like the layout and the flourishes on all sides....a simple, but beautiful design! It was tough leaving off ribbon, but at least I squeezed my piercing, Zva Pearls and 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist in there!!! :p

Woo Hoo! It's Saturday! I was up late working on a project, got totally stuck, so I headed to Splitcoast to check out the Inspiration Challenge. I'm so happy that I did, because I just made a card for it in 45 minutes! For me, that is like Speedy Gonzales!!! The Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from the Wallpaper Collective....I found this awesome pine cone wallpaper, and had four colors to choose from. I chose the navy blue against what resembled Sahara Sand.
I stamped the single pine cone image from "Sacred Season" in Night of Navy, to create the background, and chose the scripture verse from the coordinating set, "Gift of God", both from Our Daily Bread designs. After adding sponging, paper piercing, the sentiment panel which was cut from a Spellbinders Mega Oval Die, and SU denim ribbon (tied with a Bow Easy), I used a Glitter Pen to accent the snow a bit. This is very clean and simple for me, but I had fun making it "just because" and I kinda like it!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs November New Release Blog Hop! This month's release is one of my faves for this year......check out the New Release post HERE to read about all of the new sets!
I know....I've jumped ahead two months by making a New Year card, but as soon as I saw the Ornaments 2 set this month, with the snowflake tree and Happy New Year sentiment....they had to go hand in hand! Don't faint, but I cut apart all of the sections of the snowflake tree in order to stamp the background for this card. It took a few minutes to stamp, but was really easy to line up. The shape of the tree, without the snowflake on top or the base on the bottom, was a basic triangle. I cut my 5" panel, then started stamping the triangle point up, then point down, point up, point down....all the way across. Before I knew it, the entire panel was covered in snowflakes!!!!! Once the background was done, I inked up the swirly part of the stamp in teal for an added accent, distressed, inked , and pierced the edges. To finish, I cut out a Fancy Labels 3 die for the sentimet, then added satin ribbon, two layers of crocheted lace, plus some pearls and "Pearl" Glimmer Mist.

What a gorgeous fall day we are having today in Indiana! Some areas, like the famous Parke County, have been without color for several weeks, but my neighborhood is glowing!!!! This is a photo of a small portion of my back yard. Raking and mulching is not much fun, but the colors sure are a treat for the eyes!!!Today I would like to share a card I made for my Mother-in-law's birthday. Before making any cards for my family, I always ask if there are any special requests.....this year, she asked for fall colors, so I was happy to make it so!
I've been trying to do more clean and simple designs, both for the sake of time and to save on products used, so I was thrilled to see this week's Feature Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast to help me out with ideas for this card. Michelle Pearson, aka istamp31, is the featured artist and wow, you should see her amazing gallery!!! I am casing this gorgeous card because of the clean layout...isn't her coloring perfect?! This image and scripture verse are from the "Christmas Door" set by Our Daily Bread designs. I LOVE the versatility of ODBD stamps......most of them you can make work for whatever occasion you wish. I colored the door with Stampin Up markers, then added "Autumn" Flower Soft to create a fall colored garland instead of holly.

Happy Friday, everyone! After a busy week, I'm thankful to have some down time this weekend! This week's Bible Verse Thursday theme over at Christian Paper Crafts is 'Thankful for God's Love'. I have used the 'Give Thanks' set by Our Daily Bread designs for my sample. When I think about how much God loves us, it is hard to wrap my mind around what it really means! I pray daily for the Lord to soften my heart....that I could love others as much as He loves us. That is a big order, however, He created the heavens, the earth, and all that there is, so this should be small potatoes for Him, if I could only get my stiff-neck out of the way!
I wanted to make the most of the rich colors in this SEI designer paper, so I stamped the image in More Mustard, then overstamped the scripture verse in black. Once the circle was cut, I sponged Cajun Craze around the edge of the die.

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for this week's Shining the Light Challenge at the Our Daily Bread designs blog.This week's challenge, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is to create a Pink project. You do not have to make a cancer-themed project, but it must be pink and include an encouraging sentiment or scripture verse.
For my sample, I have used the "Christmas Rose" stamp, colored with SU markers and ink pads(with sponge daubers), then cut out with paper snips and an exacto knife, popped up with foam tape over an "Elegant Oval Frames" border (stamped using the rock-n-roll technique with Caramel and pink ), which was matted with a die from the "ODBD Elegant Oval" set. The scripture verse from "Christmas Door" was stamped directly onto the Memory Box "Mistletoe" designer paper. The May Arts crocheted lace bow was tied using a Bow Easy tool. Several sprays of "Irridescent Gold" Glimmer Mist was added for a sparkly finish.
