Be Still

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is LynnZant....congrats, Lynn!!  Wow, Lynn's gallery is full of mostly scrapbook layouts and they are AMAZING!!  I chose this beautiful layout for inspiration in creating this birthday card for my sister-in-law who loves the beach.  The scene and scripture verse from 'Come To Me' were stamped with Stazon Jet Black; the scene was colored partially with markers and partially with Blending Brushes.  The chairs were coated with a clear glaze pen before sponging the sun.  The panel was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies and layered with the Matting Rectangle.  The card was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layers Dies. (Stamps, dies, and blending brushes are from Divinity Designs LLC.)  Some linen thread was added to coordinate with the kraft card base.

Ju Jitsu Medal Inspired Card

Hi, everyone!  This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme is 'Turn Over A New Leaf'.  This gives me the chance to share a card which I made for my nephew who has been winning medal after medal for Ju Jitsu.  I used a photo of his medals as inspiration for this card.  I used gold metallic cardstock and gold mirror paper plus the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Squares, Circles, Bitty Blossoms, Sparkling Stars, Letter Board.  This was very time consuming but he LOVED it so much!  We are so proud of him!!

Spring Hummingbirds

Hi, everyone!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Green'.  For my card today, I used mint green pearlized paper (yummy!), a lavender and green stenciled background, plus green hummingbirds.  Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC used in my card:  'Already There' Stamp/Die Duos, Square Card Base with Layer Dies, Flourished Square Background Dies, Double Stitched Squares Dies, Sentiment Strips 2 Dies, Half Circles Stencil, Blending Brushes, Rhinestones, Foam Mounting Tape. The hummers were stamped with Stazon, water-colored, then popped up with foam tape.

God's Glory

Hi, everyone!  This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'Leap Away'.  For my card today, I used the 'Deer Silhouettes' set by Divinity Designs LLC.  The images were stamped with Stazon Jet Black multiple times in my MISTI to get solid coverage, then the background was inked using Blending Brushes.  A reverse mask was used to create the sun and a torn piece of scrap paper was used to add some red streaks across the sky.  This card will go into my birthday card stash.

Hello, Beautiful!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Deb Mauch aka dcmauch.....congrats, Deb!!  I chose this gorgeous card from Deb's gallery to recreate today, with similar colors but different stamps and a simplified layout. The flowers and sentiment are from the Altenew set, 'Beauty Within'. The flowers and leaves were stamped with Stazon Jet Black on watercolor paper, water-colored with SU re-inkers, then popped up with Foam Mounting Tape.  The background panel was cut with the Matting Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC and the card was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, also from DD.  The flower centers were coated with a clear glaze pen at the last for a little sheen.

Do All Things With Love

Hi, everyone!  This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find Inspiration from Annie Cloth......when I saw this cute lavender daisy bag, I knew I wanted to try coloring with my white gel pen on colored cardstock. The stamps I used are from 'True Friend', a Memory Box Exclusive set I ordered from Simon Says Stamp last year. I used the MISTI in order to stamp multiple times to get solid black lines before coloring the image with markers and a gel pen.  I will also be submitting this to the MISTI Monday Challenge....the theme this month is 'love'.
