Hi, everyone! One of my great nieces is obsessed with red roses right now because of Beauty and the Beast, so I used what I had on hand to create a themed birthday card for her. This week's Sketch Challenge #801 over at Splitcoast provided the most perfect layout! I began by stamping the triple rose image from the 'Rose' stamp set (retired) from Divinity Designs LLC, then fussy cut a single rose, an extra leaf, and an extra rose petal in order to balance the image. The sentiment is from the 'Beauty' stamp set. The sentiment, background, and image panels were cut with the Pierced Rectangles Dies; the frame was cut with the 'Lavish Layers' Dies; the white mat was cut with the Matting Rectangle Die, the card base was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies; the yellow panel was dry embossed with the 'Flourishes' embossing folder. Red grosgrain ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy for the finishing touch.

Howdy, Cowgirl!
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast has sunset written all over it!! Sunset scenes are so fun to create! I began by sponging/blending pink, orange, and yellow inks onto a white panel and then die cut the Pierced Frames and western scene out of black. All of the stamps and dies are from the April Blessings Box collection from Divinity Designs LLC. Some of the layers are popped up with foam tape for dimension. This card is for my niece's 18th birthday.

Mother's Day Hibiscus
Hi, everyone! It's been a few years, but I am proud to be part of the Sketch Challenge team over at SplitcoastStampers again!! This week's sketch is number 800....wow!! If you are a member at Splitcoast and submit a card for the challenge, you could win some cards and other goodies from the Sketch Team, including my card shown here!
When I saw this week's sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Delicate Doily Die and 'Great Faith' Stamp/Die Duo set from Divinity Designs. After visiting Hawaii twice back in the 90's, tropical flowers just melt me into a big puddle and I'm so in love with this stamp set!! The hibiscus flowers were stamped with Stazon Jet Black, water-colored with several colors of orange and pink, then highlighted with markers. I used a circle die to cut out the center of the doilies. The 'Mother' sentiment was cut out three times with the 'Family Names 1' Dies set; the background was embossed with the Flourishes Embossing Folder and cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies set.

The Desert Shall Rejoice
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge 789 over at Splitcoast is perfect to show off one of the cool papers from the new Landscapes Paper Pad at Divinity Designs LLC. I chose this gorgeous sunset paper, cut it out with the largest of the Pierced Rectangles Dies set, then added stamps and dies from the April Blessings Box subscription from Divinity Designs LLC. Other dies used are: A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer and Matting Rectangle Die.

Happy Fishy Wishes
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Unsplash.......I fell in love with the colors of this Blue Fluid Painting and created a Wrinkle Free Distress (or 'Smoosh') panel using turquoise and lime...I ended up with more lime than blue, but it's all good! The stamps, 'Happy Day Mermaids' from Your Next Stamp, are some I won during the 2018 DTGD challenges....perfect to make a birthday card for my niece who is obsessed with mermaids right now. The WFD panel was cut out with a Pierced Rectangle Die and the sentiment panel was cut with the Pennant Flags Dies, both die sets are from Divinity Designs LLC. Some coral baker's twine was added to pull the other coral elements together.

Divinity Designs LLC April New Release Reminder
Hi, everyone! Today we are revisiting the April release from Divinity Designs LLC.....check out all of the gorgeous designer samples plus see the entire release HERE. I have combined the new Twist and Pop with Layers Dies set with some of my fave DD products: Stamps: Armor of God Stamp/Die Duos and Full Armor; Americana Quilt Paper Collection; Custom Dies: A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, Double Stitched Rectangles, Double Stitched Pennant Flags, Pennant Flags, Ornamental Crosses, Double Stitched Squares, and Squares.
This is the front view of the card. The knight was stamped, cut out with the custom die, colored with markers and popped up with foam tape. I chose this pattern paper since I've always thought it looked like tiny shields.
This is the inside of the Twist and Pop card which features the same items as the front view. To give a more rustic feel, the small character sentiments were stamped on white, then the edges were torn and sponged with gray.

Floral Heart Thanks
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Tags Pinterest Board.....I fell in love with the soft, dreamy colors of this tag. For my card, I began by embossing the Floral Heart image (from Simon Says Stamp) with silver embossing powder on white cardstock, fussy cut the image, then sponged lavender ink on the edges and on some of the flowers. The sentiment was done the same way. Both were popped up with foam tape over a panel which was dry embossed (not visible....the camera would not capture both the silver and the background!) and cut out with a Pierced Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC. A baker's twine bow was added for the finishing touch.
