Old Rugged Cross Autumn Collage

Hi, everyone!  This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Christmas Central.....I chose this gorgeous fall table cover with colorful leaves and red border.  'The Old Rugged Cross' background was stamped in black onto ivory cardstock; after tearing the edges, the panel was sponged with caramel and distressed with espresso brown.  The leaves from 'Autumn Blessings' were stamped over the hymn after lifting the colors with Alcohol Lift Ink from a Yupo panel which was inked with multiple alcohol inks.  Three of the 'ghosted' leaves were cut out with the ODBD Custom Fall Leaves and Acorn Dies.

Superstar Birthday

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Geni aka genistamps....congrats, Geni!!  I absolutely love how she stamped inside the shaped mask on this beautiful card and just had to try that myself!  I started by cutting the white panel with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. Instead of using a butterfly, I created a mask using the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Stars Dies, used various stamps from the 'Superstar' set in navy, green, and eggplant to stamp within the star mask, sponged kraft ink within, removed the mask and embossed the stitched edging with the same die used to cut the mask.  Instead of liquid pearls, I added three tiny stars at the bottom and one medium star in the center; these were cut with the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies.  This card will be for a nephew who will be turning 18 next week.

ODBD Finch Collage

Hi, everyone!  This is a card I made for the Queen For The Day Challenge #160 at Splitcoast, where Bonnie aka bon2stamp was the featured artist.....congrats, Bonnie!!  I chose this beautiful card from her gallery to re-create, using the new Finch Collage stamp from Our Daily Bread designs.  If you like to color, this stamp is for you!!!

ODBD Collage!

Hi everyone! I have always been amazed by other crafters' collage pieces, but usually have a tough time doing one myself....not enough vision on my own without copying someone else's work! Thank goodness that it's a popular thing around the stamping world to CASE (copy and share everything) others' work as long as you give them the recognition! This week's "Queen for the Day" over at Splitcoast is BigFootBecky......I was so excited to see this awesome collage card in her gallery to help me along! I used one piece of 7 Gypsies designer paper which had several colors in it...thought it would make some good contrast. The sentiment and anchor image are from the "Anchor" set, the word background is actually the names of Jesus from the background stamp "He Shall Be Called", and the small piece with the Jesus fish was stamped with the "Fish Background"....these are all February new releases from Our Daily Bread designs. Though the collage is not perfect by any means, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for the inspiration, Becky!!!!!:)

12 Challenge Combo!!! Dare To Get Dirty Week

I have been waiting all year for the special "Dare to get Dirty"challenges, where we get to stamp along with the past and present Dirty Dozen gals from Splitcoast! Last year I was a glutton for punishment and made 20 cards for 20 challenges!!! Nowadays, time is a bit limited, so I decided it would be more challenging to see how many I could combine together without going insane!!! The final number is 12!!! I combined the Fun on Friday challenge from Christian Paper Crafts (to use acetate on your project) with ten of the DTGD challenges, plus the weekly color challenge from SCS. Check out all of the DTGD challenges on this thread....if you complete and upload all 24 challenges by August 1st, you will be put in a drawing for a prize!!!
