Hi, everyone!
This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Happy Happy Nester...the article I found was about creating floral napkin rings, but I fell in love with the yellow gingham napkins and went straight for my gingham paper assortment. I cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel from the gingham, then used a Double Stitched Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC to cut the frame to adhere to the white card base. (This leaves me another gingham panel already die cut for another card!) The little girl's dress was paper-pieced with the gingham paper as well. The images and sentiment from the 'Catching Butterflies' set were stamped onto the white card base; aquapainter and markers colored the images and the background was lightly sponged with aqua. A touch of glitter pen was added to the butterfly and a flight trail was added with a journaling pen. A yellow gingham bow was tied using the Bow Easy for a finishing touch.
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
