Hi everyone! Tomorrow, October 1st, is the big release day for Our Daily Bread designs, but I have a sneaky peek to share with you today!
The musical background is the new "Joy To The World Hymn" background stamp. To create a collage look, I stamped the holly image from "Holiday Ornaments" over the hymn, plus made a 3d embellishment with it as well to layer over the "Fanciful Flourish" by Cheery Lynn Designs. The edges were torn and ink distressed with Ranger Antique Linen. To keep it from being too "busy", the only embellishments I added were Nestabling pearls, "Irridescent Gold" Glimmer Mist, and May Arts Crocheted Lace.
Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget about the ODBD New Release Blog Hop 8am Saturday morning EDT.....you will LOVE what the "Breadsticks" have in store for you!
Have a very blessed weekend!

Clean and Simple Flag Birthday Card
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a CAS birthday card for a co-worker. I used the Old Flag Background and one of the sentiments from the "Blessings-Full of Grace Collection".
The flag background was stamped with Stazon Timber Brown, using the Mega Mount stamp block. Then, using masking, the sections of the flag were colored with ink pads and sponge daubers. To keep it super simple, paper piercing and grosgrain ribbon were the only embellishments.

Welcome To The Pumpkin Patch!
Happy Sunday, everyone! Just wanted to share a fun little scene I made using the Pumpkin Single and little pumpkin from the Garden Tag Set from Our Daily Bread designs. This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is a dear, sweet, talented stamper, Sue Craig aka bensarmom (which stands for Ben and Sarah's mom!). Sue has a humongous gallery and has been playing in all of the challenges for many years. I am thrilled to see her as Featured Stamper this week! I spent a while cruising through her fab gallery...when I saw this fun fall scene, I just had to create one myself.
I started off stamping the Pumpkin single stamp on the card panel and on a scratch paper to create a mask. After masking the pumpkin, I used scratch paper to sponge both grassy hills. The little pumpkin from the Garden Tag Set was stamped several times in the background, using masking to overlap them. The pumpkins were colored with markers, the sky was sponged over a scalloped circle, and the sentiment from the Garden Tag Set was stamped over the clouds. Added some simple paper piercing, orange gemstones and linen thread to finish.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Pumpkin Single' and 'Garden Tag Set';
Cardstock: SU Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White;
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU Ink pads and markers;
Accessories: Scratch paper for masking, SU Linen Thread, Gemstones by Me&MyBig Ideas, sponge daubers, paper piercer and template;
Size: 5-1/2 square.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! God Bless!

Fabulous Fall Altered Frame!
Hi everyone! Well, I'm a bit melancholy this weekend....we had to turn on the furnace finally! Time to put away the shorts and dig out the jeans...boo hoo! I am sorry to see summer end so soon, but I do love to use fall colors in my projects, so...all is good!!! The leaves are beginning to turn here in Indiana, but I'm still waiting for "the smell" of fall....for those of you whose seasons do not change, "the smell" in the air of the leaves beginning to die....it's hard to describe, but it's a smell I wish I could bottle!! :)
For today's project, I altered a photo frame which I found in the clearance isle at Target ...I'm now sorry that I didn't fill my cart with them! This is the "before" shot:
If you read my previous post, you'll see that I'm in love with this designer paper by Karen Foster, called "Amber Leaves"...I sure wish I would have stocked up on this when I bought it last year! I measured the frame openings, marked the back of the designer paper, and cut out the insert using a ruler and a craft knife. The edges of the designer paper were then inked distressed (sponged heavily) with SU Cajun Craze and adhered to the frame using my Scotch Advanced Tape Glider. The designer paper cut-out was also inked distressed and used as a mat for the stamped image. The leaves and flowers were cut from an outdoor flower arrangement I bought at JoAnn's.
For the image, I used the "Seed Packet" set by Our Daily Bread designs. The seed packet image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black, colored with markers on the outside, and colored with sponge daubers (using masking) on the lighter areas. The "Our Daily Bread Designs Seed Co" stamp is a straight stamp, but I curved it while placing it on the acrylic block.
I have used a couple of challenges in the making of this frame today:
The ODBD Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge is to use distressing. I used ink distressing on the edges to give more of a rustic look;
The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast was to choose a photo from the Creature Comforts blog....I didn't need to look very far...the first page I looked at sent me straight to my room! The gorgeous fall colors were all the inspiration I needed!;
Also at Splitcoast this week, the Color Challenge was also perfect for fall....Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, and So Saffron;
PLUS, the Christian Paper Crafts "Fabulous Fall" Blog Hop is still open through 9/25....come on over and link your fall creation!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!

Christian Paper Crafts "Gracious Glimpse" (Sneak Peek)
Hi everyone! Today is my day to share a "Gracious Glimpse" (sneak peek) for the September Design Team Delights gallery at Christian Paper Crafts which opens on the 15th. This month's theme is "Fabulous Fall"! I love crafting with fall colors....as you can see by my sample!
I've been saving this gorgeous designer paper for a special occasion....I also used it to alter a photo frame....but you'll have to wait for the DTD gallery to open in order to see it! If you'd like to see more "Gracious Glimpses" from the CPC Design Team, please visit the CPC Creative Blog HERE. Also, if you would like to play along with this month's theme, join us for our monthly Blog Hop on the 22nd....check out the deets HERE! Hope to see you there!
For my sample, first thing, I cut the designer paper to 5-1/4 square, then cut out the leaf with a perfectly placed Spellbinders Nested Leaves die (since I planned to hand-cut a mat for the leaf, it was safe to cut the leaf out of my card panel...yes, I'm a cheater!). The image and sentiment from the Our Daily Bread designs "The Good Seed" set were stamped directly onto the leaf, the edges were sponged with SU Cajun Craze, then adhered to the leaf mat which I traced with the same die and cut by hand. The flourish is a Cheery Lynn Designs "Fanciful Flourish" die, and the button I made with the smallest leaf die in the Nested Leaves set. To see a tutorial on how to make your own buttons out of paper and clear glaze, please see this post. They are super simple and so rewarding!!!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'The Good Seed';
Cardstock: SU Cajun Craze and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Karen Foster 'Amber Leaves';
Ink: SU Cajun Craze and Stazon Jet Black;
Accessories: Spellbinders Nested Leaves, Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fanciful Flourish' die, May Arts Poly Twill tied with a Bow Easy, Ranger Glossy Accents, Linen Thread, Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist, Paper Piercer and template, Cropodile, foam tape, sponge dauber;
Size: 5-1/2 square.
Thanks so much for visiting today! God bless!

Birthday Cards for my Sisters!
My little sisters (twins), Rachel and Rebecca, just turned 15!!! I swear it seems like yesterday when I watched them being born! I wish I had a photo of them together so you can see how gorgeous they have become! You would be shocked that they are even twins, however, since they are total opposites! Hahaha, I didn't tell either of them that they both requested purple cards this year or they both would have changed their choice!! lol!!!
I knew instantly that I would use some of the awesome mirror paper which I picked up at the Our Daily Bread designs booth when I worked at the stamp show in Cincinnati last month, along with some of the Cheery Lynn Designs detail cutting dies. (If you'd like to see my video tutorial for the Cheery Lynn Dies, click HERE.)
The first card is for my sister, Rebecca. Since she asked for a purple card, I started out with some light lavender floral designer paper from the SEI Couture paper pack, layered with the Lattice Die and Exotic Butterfly (Medium) die, both from Cheery Lynn Designs. The crocheted lace is by May Arts and the gorgeous ruffled satin ribbon I received from my sweet DT sister, Sabrina!! The sentiment stamp and border are from the Our Daily Bread designs Mini Tags 3 set and the pearls are by Zva Creative. I would have used some Glimmer Mist as well, but I had already adhered the layers to the mirror paper and didn't want to ruin the mirror effect.
Here is a close-up of the awesome butterfly.....I am so pleased to get such a good photo....the mirror paper is not an easy thing to photograph!! :)
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread desgins 'Mini Tags 3';
Cardstock: SU Pale Plum (retired) and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: SEI 'Couture' and mirror paper (brand unknown);
Ink: Stazon Royal Purple (stamped off, for a lighter shade);
Accessories: Cheery Lynn Designs' Exotic Butterfly and Lattice Die, Zva Creative Pearls, May Arts Crocheted Lace, Ruffled Satin Ribbon (brand unknown), Foam Tape.
Size: 6 x 4-1/2.
This card is for my sis, Rachel, who I call "Mini-Me"! :) It is scary how much we look alike (the poor girl!)....we could be twins except for she is 30 years my junior!!!! One good difference is that she is actually good at sports....praise the Lord!!
Rachel requested that her card be purple and black..... since she's more "down to earth" and used to like the outdoors, bugs, frogs, etc., I went with purple and black floral paper from the SEI 'Couture' paper pack, black mirror paper cut out with the Italian Flourish Doily die by Cheery Lynn Designs topped with a Prima flower, and the ODBD Butterfly Single on which to stamp the sentiment, which was from Mini Tags 2. The May Arts satin ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy and the pearls are by Zva Creative. I was afraid that I had made it too "girly", but she loved it! Whew!
Here is a close-up of the Italian Flourish Doily Die...isn't it the coolest?!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Butterfly Single' and 'Mini Tags 2';
Cardstock: SU Basic Black and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: SEI 'Couture' and mirror paper (from the ODBD show booth);
Accessories: ODBD Butterfly Die, Cheery Lynn Designs' Italian Flourish Doily Die, Bow Easy, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Zva Creative Pearls, paper piercer and template, Prima flower, foam tape.

Handpicked by God!
Happy Friday, everyone! I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend!! I've got lots of crafting to do and lots of blogging to catch up on! Today I have a card to share that I made for my niece, Leah, for her 16th birthday! Happy Birthday, sweetie!!! For my family, I always ask for special requests before making any cards....Leah asked for anything pastel, shimmer was okay but no glitter! I guess when you turn 16, you prefer less girl stuff and more "young women" stuff instead! So, I made an elegant, pink card with some of my fave SEI pearly paper from the "With All My Heart" collection.
Using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine, I cut out the card base (and SEI layer) with the Grand Labels One die set. To create the close white mat, I embossed the same die used to cut the SEI layer, then cut the impression out by hand, which is fairly easy since it's a large shape. I didn't want to cover up the gorgeous designer paper, so I kept the design simple by adding the sentiment from the Our Daily Bread designs "Garden Tag Set", framed with Labels Four dies, and embellished with a Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Zva Creative Pearls, and May Arts Satin Ribbon tied with a Bow Easy. The paper piercing was done by hand.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Garden Tag Set';
Cardstock: SU Pink Pirouette and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: SEI 'With All My Heart';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU Pink Pirouette;
Accessories: Spellbinders Grand Labels One and Labels Four Dies, Cheery Lynn Designs' Fanciful Flourish, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Zva Creative Pearls, , Paper Piercer, Foam Tape;
Size: Approx 5 x 5.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fun-filled, blessed weekend!!!
