Our Daily Bread designs / Flower Soft Blog Hop!
Happy Thursday, everyone! Welcome to the "Cross-over" blog hop! Our Daily Bread designs and Flower Soft have teamed up for a fun blog hop today! If you know anything at all about Our Daily Bread designs, you know that we lovie da Flower Soft!!!!
For my sample today, I have used one of the new Die-Cut Dimensions sets, called "Wildflowers 2".....I love ALL of the Flower Soft Kits, but these are some of my faves! All of the pieces are die-cut.....just pop them out of the sheet, pop them up on your project, add Flower Soft and you're done! Even the little flower petals are die-cut so that you can pop them up for extra dimension! Hubby gave the advice to keep it simple, so after stamping the sentiment from the ODBD set, "Sewn With Love - the Blessings Collection", paper piercing in between the pre-printed stitches on the topper, the only embellishment I added was Lemon Yellow Flower Soft in the centers of the flowers.
'Ingredients' list:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Sewn With Love - the Blessings Collection';
Cardstock: SU Naturals White;
Ink: SU Early Espresso;
Accessories: Flower Soft 'Die-cut Dimensions Wildflowers 2' kit, 'Lemon Yellow' Flower Soft sprinkles, paper piercer, sponge dauber, foam tape, stylus (to round the undersides of the flower petals);
Size: 5 x 6.
Now, on with the hop!! If you have hopped here from Deb Felts' blog, you are right where you want to be! If you have stopped here just because, please head over to the Our Daily Bread designs blog to start at the beginning...plus there is a complete hop list in case there are any broken links. You have until August 30th at 8pm EDT to complete the hop.....ODBD and Flower Soft will each be drawing a winner for a $20 prize package! The winners will be announced on August 31st.
Your next stop will be Cibele Glazer's blog.....happy hopping and good luck!!
Have a very blessed day!!!

Hemmed In Prayer
Hi everyone! I have another fun card to share with you....I just LOVE to make shaped cards with Spellbinder dies and my Grand Calibur! Since I have a Spellbinders Wizard, which I totally love, I don't use my Grand Calibur every day, however, when it comes to cutting out both layers of a card, the Grand Calibur is da-bomb! For this card, I cut a 5 x 10 piece of cardstock, scored it at 5" and folded it as if I were making a regular square card, then taped one of the Grand Labels One dies to the card so that the top (fold) edge would still be attached after it was cut. The "patchwork" layer was made by punching squares out of three different patterns from the Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle' paper pack, sponging the edges, then adhering them to a piece of cardstock. Once they were adhered, I used the next smallest Grand Labels One die to cut and emboss the panel, then paper pierced, added May Arts Watermelon ribbon and crocheted lace (unknown company), Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, and the sentiment panel which was stamped with "Weave In Faith - the Full of Grace Collection" and cut out with an ODBD's Elegant Ovals die.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Weave in Faith';
Cardstock: SU Early Espresso;
Designer Paper: Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle';
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, SU Early Espresso;
Accessories: ODBD Elegant Ovals die, Spellbinders Grand Labels One, May Arts Watermelon Ribbon, Crocheted Lace, Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Paper Piercer and template, Bow Easy;
Size: Approx 5x5.
Thanks so much for visiting! Stay tuned tomorrow for a "crossover" blog hop with Our Daily Bread designs and the Flower Soft team....don't miss it!!!
God Bless!!

"Memory" Game With ODBD Scripture Stamps!
Hi everyone! Since this month's theme over at Christian Paper Crafts is "Back To School", "Bible Study", and all things related to learning, I couldn't resist but create a Memory Game for the monthly Blog Hop over at the Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog! Everyone can join in......create a card, layout, or altered item with this month's theme and link your blog post HERE with the linky tool. Can't wait to see you there!
Our Daily Bread designs has just released the 2nd Customer Favorites set, called "Scripture Series 2" and a border set to frame the beautiful scripture stamps, called "Scrolly Borders". What better way to feature so many verses but with a Memory Game?
Since the "game pieces" needed to be square, I chose four stamps from "Scripture Series 1" and four stamps from "Scripture Series 2", all of which fit inside the "Scrolly Border" stamp. To make the pieces more sturdy, I cut sixteen 3x3 pieces each of cardboard, white cardstock, and designer paper.....rounded all of the corners, stamped the borders and scriptures using a Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner to get them all straight, then adhered all of layers together. The butterfly images from the ODBD "Faith" set were stamped, cut out with the custom-made "Butterfly Branch" cutting die, colored with markers and sponge daubers, then glued to the top of each piece. Each piece was sponged on the edge for a little dimension.
I created a small box using my Scor-Buddy along with this tutorial on the ODBD blog, adhered another Butterfly Branch and some pink pearls on top, plus some May Arts Satin Ribbon around the lid with some extra hand-cut butterflies adhered. Though all of the layers took a while to complete, this was a pretty simple project.....I will definitely make more of these in the future! What a perfect way for a child (or anyone) to learn scripture...with a fun game!!!
'Ingredients List':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs "Scripture Series 1", "Scripture Series 2", "Faith", "Scrolly Borders";
Cardstock: SU Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: JoAnn's stack;
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, SU Ink Pads and markers;
Accessories: Our Daily Bread designs "Butterfly Branch" Custom Cutting Die, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Nestabling pearls, EK Success Dotted Scallop Border Punch, Scor-Buddy, Scor-tape, sponge daubers;
Size: Memory Cards are 3x3; Box is 3-1/4 square and approx 1" tall.

Scripture Series 2 Release (and prizes too!)
Happy Monday, everyone! Today is a very special day over at Our Daily Bread designs! Several months back, there was a 2nd Customer Favorites Contest held, from which six participant's favorite scriptures were chosen to be made into a stamp....this brand new stamp set, Scripture Series 2 is being released today, along with a new border set, Scrolly Borders! Each winner has received a set of their own and all six have created samples using their verse......see their beautiful samples and a bit about why they chose their verses HERE on the Our Daily Bread designs blog.
For my sample, I have chosen the John 1:16 scripture stamp from Scripture Series 2, along with one of the Scrolly Borders stamps, which I have stamped twice to create an octagon shaped border. The border stamped once is square, but I was so thrilled to discover how well the border matched when over-lapping it! Yay! I then trimmed around the border and layered it onto a shaped card cut by a Spellbinders Blossom Three cutting die.
'Ingredients List':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs Scripture Series 2 and Scrolly Borders;
Cardstock: SU Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White;
Ink: Stazon Royal Purple and Ranger Antique Linen;Accessories: Bow Easy, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Zva Creative Pearls and roses; Martha Stewart foliage punch, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Spellbinders Blossom Three die cut;
Size: Approx. 4 x 4.
Instead of having a "blog hop" for this special reveal, we have linked all of the "Breadsticks" who have created a sample using the new sets. Please visit all of the girls and leave a comment, because there is hidden blog candy on three blogs from the list below. Kelley is offering three $20 gift certificates.....thanks, Kelley!!!

Sneak Peek for Christian Paper Crafts' Design Team Delight Gallery!
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today it's my turn to share a "Gracious Glimpse" (sneak peek) of the upcoming Design Team Delights gallery at Christian Paper Crafts, which will open on the 15th. Check out the deets here on how to subscribe in order to view this fabulous gallery each month. This month's theme is "Back To School" but also includes Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and so on.....anything to do with learning is included! Check out some of the gorgeous "Gracious Glimpses" at the CPC blog!
Since I don't have kids, the "Back to School" theme was a bit challenging for me at first. But then I thought of the Pledge of Allegiance and how we never started class without it when I was in school. And so, the blackboard idea was born. The "I Pledge Allegiance" stamp by Our Daily Bread designs was stamped onto black cardstock with white Craft ink (which I should have clear embossed....it took forever to dry!!) The math formulas and ABC's were hand-drawn with a Signo white gel pen. The flag swags were die cut with the "Patriotic Swag" by Cheery Lynn Designs....see my Product Review Video on the Cheery Lynn Designs dies here at the ODBD store!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'I Pledge Allegiance' single stamp;
Cardstock: SU Creamy Caramel, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Night of Navy;
Ink: SU White Craft ink and Signo Gel Pen, also sponged the outer edge with Early Espresso;
Accessories: Cheery Lynn Designs 'Patriotic Swag' cutting die, May Arts Ric-rac velvet ribbon, Basic Grey button, embroidery thread, little red stars are from the swag cut-out pieces.
Size: 5 x 5-1/2.
If you would like to join in with our "Back to School" theme, get your card, layout, or altered item ready for our monthly blog hop on the 22nd at the Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog. You can check out the rules for the hop HERE. Hope to see you there!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!!
