The Lord Bless You and Keep You

This is another simple card I made using several challenges. The OCC Challenge this week is to case one of the OCC girls....I have always loved the CAS style of Dana Grothaus, so it was totally an honor to case this gorgeous card from Dana's Splitcoast gallery. The Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is to use a verse or sentiment only...no other stamping.....I hope it's okay to enter more than once! The Paper Play challenge, the Twisted Thursday challenge, and Lexi's Creations all had challenges to use something old....I used a fabric K & Co brad which has been in my stash for a couple of years....this Memory Box paper was a perfect match! The challenge at "A Spoon Full of Sugar" is to make a Best Wishes/Good Luck card. Crafty Creations' challenge is to use something sparkly, shiny, or shimmery....sheer ribbon plus Glimmer Mist was my choice of glam!

Additional card info: The scripture verse is from "From Me To You" by Our Daily Bread designs; the designer paper is Memory Box "Jubilee"; the sheer ribbon is May Arts; the pearls are by Zva Creative; and lots of "Dazzling Diamonds" Glimmer Mist for a shimmery finish!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Stay tuned tomorrow for Bible Verse Thursday at Christian Paper Crafts and a sneak peek at a new stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs!!! Have a blessed day!

Stamping in Time and Bible Verse Thursday

Happy Thursday!!! It's time for me to work in another combo.....Our Daily Bread designs' Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge, plus Bible Verse Thursday over at Christian Paper Crafts! For me, this is the best of both worlds!!! The Bible Verse Thursday Challenge theme is to use any scripture on your project which mentions blessings or being blessed. I have chosen one of the scripture stamps from the ODBD "Happy Birthday" set, along with a Prima "Gallery Rose", Memory Box "Rhubarb Tart" designer papers, Ranger "Antique Linen Distress Ink, Offray Lace, Zva Creative Pearls, and "Pearl" Glimmer Mist.

The Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge is being hosted by the beautiful and talented LeAnne Pugliese, who has challenged us with an Inspiration Challenge this go 'round! Use this gorgeous, colorful bag for your inspiration as you create a card, layout, altered item, etc. Isn't this an awesome pattern? And don't forget to use those Our Daily Bread designs' stamps!!!

This SNT Challenge will run until July 7th, so you have plenty of time to play....and don't forget about the prize.....$15.00 toward ODBD stamps!!! Once you create your project, either post to your blog or upload to Splitcoast using Keyword SNTODBD12, then link your project to the SNT post on the ODBD blog.

"Time With"......Me!!

Each week Our Daily Bread designs features one of their Design Team girls, otherwise known as "The Breadsticks", on the ODBD blog....this week, it's mine turn!

Today I would love to share a birthday card I made for a dear friend. I knew I wanted to make a trellis with the wide lace given to me by my friend and scrappin' buddy, Debbie Wallace....hi Debbie!! I started out by sponging the background scene....using scratch paper for masking, I sponged the grassy area, then sponged the sky using a SU cloud template. After paper piercing the edges, I added May Arts satin ribbon, topped with lace ribbon by Offray across the middle. I then adhered my "trellis", added punched leaves with a Martha Stewart punch and tiny paper roses by Zva Creative. The sentiment panel is a pre-printed Flower Soft Card Topper. Both oval layers were cut by hand, then stamped with my go-to stamp from the "Thinking of You" set, paper pierced, and embellished with Raspberry Fizz UltraFine Flower Soft. The pearls are by Zva Creative and the finished card was sprayed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. The butterfly punch is also by Martha Stewart, topped with Zva Pearls, and hubby advised me where to place it!! Thanks, honey!! :)

I have used a few challenges in the making of this card. The Sketch Tuesday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts (on which I definitely took some liberties), plus the Color Monday Challenge there to choose one or a combo of blue, pink, orange or yellow. The Shabby Tea Room challenge this week is "Summer Fun".....what says summer more than a blooming rose bush? I LOVE working in my flower gardens, but my stamp room usually wins out!! Also, at the Stamp Something blog, the challenge there is "Happy Somethings".....flowers ARE happiness to me!!!! A Spoon Full of Sugar's challenge is Enjoying the Sunshine. The Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week is Celebrate Summer! Lots of summer stuff going on....love it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! God Bless!

Grace and Peace

Happy Saturday!!! Time for another Shining the Light Challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs' blog!! This week's challenge is to use one or all of these colors: blue, green, or yellow. If using one color, make it a monochromatic scheme. I chose all three colors for my sample today so that I could break out this Basic Grey "Kioshi" paper! I have also used a newly released stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs, called "Scripture Series 1", May Arts satin ribbon tied with a Bow Easy, Spellbinders Lattice Pendant, Hero Arts Pearls, and several coats of "Dazzling Diamonds" Glimmer Mist.

Over at Christian Paper Crafts today, it's Case Artist Saturday!! Today's featured artist is Helen aka hcdooley! Yay, Helen!! I chose this lovely card to case....the layout is fantastic!! The card I chose to case was a perfect match for the Sweet Stop Sketch this week...I love their sketches! I have also used the Stamping Sisters In Christ Challenge to use a "creeping bug", plus the Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast....to "Go Buggy".....I know, I'm stretching it a bit with only one butterfly!! The Inspiration Challenge today at SCS is to choose an item from the "Roses and Teacups" store...I chose this towel set because of the gorgeous color combo! I have also used the Etsy Inspired Challenge for this week, to choose an item from the "My Zoethrope" store....there are some crazy-cute prints there, but I chose this "Friendship Bracelet" print. I have also used the OCC Challenge "Gotcha Cornered"...I used paper piercing plus pearls for my corners.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you back here in a few days!! Have a blessed weekend!!

From the Sea to the Mountains!

I have two cards to share with ya'all today.....one for the beach-combers and the other for those who love the wilderness!

The first card I have used many challenges on: the Fun on Friday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts is to make an easel card. I used the instructions shown on the Splitcoast Technique Lover's Challenge...see this post. Both the Fab-N-Funky Challenge and the Color Throwdown Challenge #96 is to use Cool Caribbean, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron. The Tuesday Throwdown is to use a nautical theme. The Stampin B's Challenge theme is "Seashore". I have used some pearly new designer paper from SEI, called "On The Beach"...it has the turquoise and orange I needed for the color challenges and I sponged So Saffron to complete the colors. The frame around the sentiment was cut with Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities dies; the sentiment is from an Our Daily Bread designs' set, "Friendship". The May Arts satin ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy and the palm charm is another I received from my ODBD DT sister, America! The pearl brad is by Zva Creative....there HAD to be a pearl to go with the sea shells!!!

My second card was for several challenges as well. The Shabby Tea Room Challenge is to make a card for Dad; the Cards For Men Challenge is to make a Father's Day Card; and I totally loved the sketch this week from Card Positioning Systems, CPS170!

I used the Our Daily Bread designs' set, "Dad", along with Basic Grey "Max & Whiskers"designer paper, Basic Grey Brads, May Arts Twill Ribbon, Spellbinders Labels Eight, and an EK Success Alpine Border Punch. This was a little tricky to layer the Labels die, but very fun to make!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed weekend!!!!

Bible Verse Thursday - "The Word"

Happy Thursday, everyone!! This week's theme for Bible Verse Thursday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts is "The Word"! Use any verse which speaks of the Word of God.....you get bonus points if you use designer paper, charms, etc with words on it also!!! I have used a scripture stamp from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Scripture Series 1", along with 7 Gypsies designer paper, a Cuttlebug Houndstooth embossing folder, silver brads, silver cord, and a silver cross sent to me by my ODBD DT sister, America Kuhn!

I have also used the Sketch Tuesday Challenge from Christian Paper Crafts, the Stampin B's challenge to make a masculine card, and the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoast which is to use a sentiment as your focal point.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Many blessings to you!

CASE times two!

I was going to take a day off from stamping, but needed to make two get well cards, so I am squeezing in a few more challenges which couldn't be passed up. Over at Christian Paper Crafts, the Fun On Friday Challenge was to make a Clean and Simple Card and the
Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast is to case a card from Nikki Schmaltz's gallery.....I chose this gorgeous card to re-create. I have also used the Etsy Inspired Challenge, to choose an item from the "HowBeadyful" store.....when I saw this adorable strawberry locket, I knew I had to break out the Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry" paper again and use these re-purposed cut-out strawberries from a package of strawberry flavored Pocky (Japanese cookie sticks). The scripture verse comes from Our Daily Bread designs' "Scripture Series 1". The pink grosgrain bow was tied using a Bow Easy; the pearls are Basic Grey Opaline.

This week's Case Artist Saturday challenge at Christian Paper Crafts is to case a card created by my ODBD DT Sister, Debi Southard! Yay, Debi!! I chose this awesome card to re-create....I love Debi's creative CAS style....I want to be her when I grow up! :) For more of Debi's gorgeous work, check out her blog HERE. After I chose a card from Debi's gallery, I realized that the Sweet Sunday Sketch was nearly dead-on....how cool is that?! This is my first time playing in their challenges, but will definitely become a regular!! I have also used the Crafty Pad Challenge #74, to use swirls and pearls....how about "swirly pearls" instead?! The Corrosive Challenge #67 was to use die cuts on your project....I used Oval Nestabilities dies. And last but not least, the Cuttlebug Challenge #86 this week is to use the colors of aqua, pink, raspberry, and vanilla....yummy!!! This Basic Grey "Lemonade" paper was perfect! The turquoise pearls are Basic Grey and the swirly pearls are by Zva. The ribbon is May Arts and the bow was tied with a Bow Easy. This scripture verse is also from ODBD's "Scripture Series 1" .

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed weekend!!

Fuchsia Crazy!

This card will be for my neice's 21st birthday next week. This was a labor of love which took many, many hours....I hope she loves it! I have used a new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called "From Me To You", along with lots of Zva Creative Pearls, K and Co "Wild Raspberry" designer paper, several layers of Pearl Glimmer Mist, and some twill ribbon tied with a Bow Easy. The fuchsias were stamped three times, two of them cut out with paper snips and an exacto knife and popped up for dimension....this took a while! lol!!

I have used seven challenges for this card. Gloria's Sketch Tuesday challenges over at Christian Paper Crafts are always a blast....I really enjoyed this one...it was definitely a challenge! Also, the Stamping Sisters In Christ Challenge PLUS the Shabby Tea Room both had "heart" challenges, so I made a 5-layer button with a heart punch and a cropodile! The Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week was to use trees and nature....so I used a butterfly, fuchias, and floral paper. The Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Layla Grace site....I chose this gorgeous crib bedding set. The OCC Challenge theme this week is Summer Time. And last but not least, the Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab blog was to use this photo as your inspiration....such fabulous, bright colors, so I just HAD to use this for my neice's birthday card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed weekend!!!

Stamping in Time and Bible Verse Thursday

You know me.....I love to kill many birds with one stone!!! Today is Bible Verse Thursday over at Christian Paper Crafts....this week's challenge is to use any verse for encouragement...so this one is wide open.....make any card, scrapbook page, altered item or gift.....as long as there is a verse which uplifts and encourages someone. The bible tells us how we are all blessed with different spiritual gifts....the gift of encouragement being one of them. I believe it is our duty as Christians to continually seek opportunities to uplift or encourage someone, even if it is with a smile.....you never know when a simple gesture just might change ( or save ) someone's life!

The color scheme for my sample today is from the Splitcoast Color Challenge, which is Close to Cocoa, Barely Banana, Garden Green, with a dessert option of pearl flourishes and a cherry-on-top option of using Soft Sky(I had to substitute Bashful Blue instead!)

Today's Ways To Use It challenge at Spliltcoast is "No Place Like Home".....I have many flower gardens (some are jungles!), but my fave garden has tons of lilies of different types and colors!

Also, today brings a new Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge on the Our Daily Bread designs' blog, of which Betty asked me to be the "hostess with the mostest" this week! The assignment is simple........use ODBD stamps and "Create A Scene" for your project. Of course Our Daily Bread designs has many gorgeous scenery stamps, however, you may also get creative and use some of your ODBD stamps in a new way! For example, I used the lilies from "I Am The Way" along with some Basic Grey "Nook & Pantry" paper, and a Martha Stewart fence punch with some Creative Imaginations "Real Wood" paper. (The scripture verse is from "Scripture Collection 2".) A couple pearl flourishes from Zva Creative, plus a satin bow tied with a Bow Easy, and it's good to go!

Check out these gorgeous samples for this challenge:

Sabrina
Chrissy
Betty

So, come on.....let's see what you've got!!! Start "making a scene" right now.....link your project at the ODBD blog and you could win a $15.00 gift certificate toward ODBD stamps!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! God Bless!
