Our Daily Bread designs April New Release Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs April New Release Blog Hop!!! If you have hopped here from the Our Daily Bread designs Blog, you are right where you want to be....if not, please head over there now to get all of the fabulous details about how you can qualify to be one of four winners! If there are any broken links on your hop-along today, there is a complete link list on the ODBD Blog as well. (BTW, if you haven't seen the new sets in one place yet, check out the New Release post HERE. )

For my sample today, I chose to create a 12x12 scrapbook page in tribute of my Kitty, who passed away a couple of months ago......she was 20 years old.....it sure was tough getting used to her not being here after all that time! When the new pet sympathy sets were revealed to the team, I knew that I had to make a page for Kitty! (Sorry for the dark photos......this was the best I could do without a glare on the Kitty photos!)

Here is a closer view without the outside edges. I'm so excited that I was able to use many stamp sets for my page embellishments.....not one store-bought embellie here....all are stamped!! (I love a good challenge!)

'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Cat Sympathy'(cat image and sentiments), 'Francis of Assisi' (quote), 'Happy Fall' (single sunflower), 'Harvest Blessings' (sunflower group), 'Missing You';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Garden Green and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: 12 x 12 Prima 'Sweet Tea' from the 'Sun Kiss Collection';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Stampin Up Ink Pads and Markers;
Accessories: Our Daily Bread designs 'Sunflower Die Set', Our Daily Bread designs 'Fence Die', Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors, Spellbinders Labels Eight, paper piercer and template, foam tape, sponge daubers;
Size: 12" x 12".

Before I continue with the hop info, there is one important announcement first:
We have decided to extend our Customer Favorites Contest! You now have until April 7th to add your submission to the Customer Favorites Contest for a chance to win a free set and the chance to be a guest designer for the release of “your” set! So leave us your ONE choice of favorite short Scripture, spiritual quote or spiritual sentiment, and YOUR submission might be in the next ODBD Customer Favorites Sets! Read all the details and leave your submission HERE! ***PLEASE take time to see the Scriptures already in sets list HERE so you don’t waste your one submission on one that’s already in a set!

Now.....on with the hop!!! You have until Monday, April 2nd at 8pm EDT to complete the hop. Three hoppers will receive a $20 gift certificate to the ODBD store and one hopper will receive......a Bread Basket Bundle (entire new release!!). Thanks, Kelley, for your generosity!!!

Your next stop will be with the incredibly creative, talented, and super sweet....Julie Warner!!! You will love what she has to show you!!!

Happy Hopping to you and have a very blessed weekend!!!

Blog Hop Winner and Inspiration Challenge

Thanks so very much to all of those who stopped by yesterday for the "March of the Snowmen" first annual blog hop!!! A big thank you to Melisa Waldorf for coming up with this fabulous idea in the first place, plus organizing everything!!! Wow, what an honor to be included with these other talented ladies!! If you'd still like to check out all of the AWESOME snowman projects, please scroll down one post for the links to the hop.

Random.org helped me to choose the lucky winner of my "Flaky Friends" card from yesterday, plus a goodie bag full of blog candy .......And the winner is......loftylass, who left this comment: loftylass said...
What a great idea, I love snowmen stamps but I don't have any 'skinny' ones - these are so cute and the card is beautiful. tfs
HW
Dear Ms. HW, please come on back and leave me your email address. Congrats!!!!

Now on to some more fun stuff! I finally had a FREE weekend to get caught up on some projects (and house cleaning). Right off the bat Saturday I participated in the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast, which was to find an item from the "Charm Lady Botique".......I was in a goofy mood, so I spent about 2 minutes and replicated this Moss Ring with a gemstone brad and some Shamrock Green Flower Soft!! After giggling about the ring.....for a couple of hours......I finally made a REAL IC card, using this Red Autumn Fall Pendant, which is an exact replica of Basic Grey's "Indian Summer" dsp!! The scripture is from the ODBD set called "I Am The Way". I have also used the Case Artist Saturday challenge from Christian Paper Crafts.....sweet Mary is featuring our DT all month...this week's featured DT members are myself and Cindy Coutts. I chose to case this awesome card from Cindy's gallery because of the layout and ribbon placement. We're all gonna gang up on Mary later and case some of her work also!!!

By the way, thank you all for your concern over my 18 year old kitty who got into a fight with a possum two weekends ago and had puncture wounds in her front leg. She is limping still, but has mostly recovered, especially when it comes to her appetite!!!! I think this cat has 100 lives instead of 9!!! Thank goodness, 'cause she's a good one!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a blessed Sunday!!!
