My first card samples features the awesome "Apples" set. I love the image and the sentiments and scriptures are fantastic!!! The smaller words coordinate with the Recipe Card line!
The shaped card and layers were cut out with Spellbinders "Nested Apples". The center apple was stamped with the ODBD "Gingham Background" in mustard.....I thought the dark red and mustard went well together! The three little apples were cut out from the larger image from the "Apples" set. The paper piercing was done by hand and the layers were adhered with foam tape to give a little dimension.
I will also be featuring one of two new exclusive die sets for this month, "Decorative Corners". The cut-out and piercing details are amazing! Kudos to Michelle Laycock for the designs!! These corners can be used to embellish cards, scrapbook pages, photo frames, 3d art, and many more projects, including a corner bookmark like shown below.
To create this corner bookmark, I cut a square piece of cardstock which was the same width as the corner die. The front and back of the white panel was stamped using the Vintage Border Background. Behind the stenciled cross is the fold line where the two sides met after scoring and folding from the top center. The corner die cut piece was adhered with craft glue. The bottom edge was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. The scripture is from a previously released set by ODBD, "The Word of God". Since I will be using this in my Bible, I did not add any extra embellishments or ribbons, however, you can really "dude it up" if you like! These are super simple and fast to make!
Here is another view, with the bookmark in use....the page just slips right under the top flap:
Here are a couple of cards which were sneak peeks earlier this week, using the "Apples" set:
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!

Wow! You always have a great combo of projects & cards you make with the new releases - fun, pretty, elegant, country, CAS, creative, ... :) What a fun use of those apple dies with the new set, cute card! Your bookmark is sooo pretty! Elegant, lacy, just lovely! Wonderful use of that corner die, I need to make some! :) I hadn't noticed there was a cross on the die till you highlighted it. What fun & pretty apple cards! I love your denim & lace layers. I have quite a few of hubby's torn jeans laying in a mending heap that I just can't seem to part with.
