Hi everyone! This is a fun bookmark I made while doing a tutorial for Our Daily Bread designs Blog on the Sponged Cloud Technique....check out the tutorial HERE. The stamp I used from the "Bookmarks - Trees" set has a sun silhouette around the eagle, but since I wanted to create a fluffy cloud day, I used my "Pine" chalk ink around the outside of the stamp only, (leaving out the sun and eagle), then while the chalk ink was still wet, poured clear embossing powder over and heat set it. I then stamped the eagle on a separate piece and clear embossed it as well, then cut it out. The bookmark was cut out with the largest die from the Spellbinders / ODBD Exclusive "Bookmarks" set. I sponged the clouds onto the bookmark (with the bookmark still inside the cutting die), adhered the eagle onto it, then stamped the scripture from the "Bookmark - Verses" set. Added a little "funky fibers" and it's ready!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! God bless!

"ODBD Happy Birthday To Randi" Blog Hop!
Happy Monday, everyone! Today is a very special day at Our Daily Bread designs.....we are having a special Happy Birthday Blog Hop for our dear designer sister, Randi Barrett!
Those of you who have been with us for a couple of years know and love Randi, but for those new readers, let me introduce one of the most faithful, inspirational, beautiful souls I know......Randi Barrett!! Randi has survived several bouts with cancer throughout her life and is traveling down the same road again now, with the Lord by her side as always. In October of 2010, a beautiful new stamp set, "Randi's Song", was dedicated to our dear Randi.....read all about it HERE. Randi' unwavering faith and strength throughout this trial continue to inspire and lift up our team and we wanted to give something back by having a birthday celebration. We love you, Randi girl!!!
My blog is the first stop during the Blog Hop.....if you get lost along the way, please go back to the ODBD Blog, where there is a full link list. Once you have visited and left a comment for each "Breadstick" listed, please head back to the ODBD Blog to let us know you have finished and to leave birthday wishes and special prayers for Randi. There will be three winners drawn from the comments to receive one of ODBD's birthday stamp sets! You have until Wednesday, 8 pm EDT, to complete the hop.....have a great hop!!
Some of my favorite cards from Randi's gallery were created with shades of turquoise, so I started out with some Pool Party cardstock (Stampin Up), SEI "Mist" Chalk Ink for the "Vine Background" and beautiful quote from "Bookmark Prayers". Since the chalk ink does not dry right away, I like to pour clear embossing powder over it and heat emboss it. This not only seals in the ink, but gives it a beautiful finish as well. The edges of both panels were inked in "Blush Blossom". So not to cover up the "Vine Background", I kept the embellishments simple: Cheery Lynn Designs "Fanciful Flourish", May Arts Crocheted Lace and Satin Ribbon (tied with a Bow Easy), and Zva Creative Pearls.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Bookmarks - Prayers', 'Vine Background';
Cardstock: Stampin Up 'Pool Party' and 'Whisper White';
Ink: SEI 'Mist' Chalk Ink, Stampin Up 'Blush Blossom';
Accessories: Ranger Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Bow Easy, May Arts Crocheted Lace and Satin Ribbon, Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fanciful Flourish', Zva Creative Pearls;
Size: 5 x 5.
Now....on with the hop! From here, you will hop over to see the amazingly talented and sweet Grace Nywening!
Thanks for hanging out with us today and helping to celebrate our dear Randi's birthday!! God bless!!

Since there were no big deadlines looming during the past week, I stayed out of my craft room and spent more time puttering around the house and snuggling with my man.....we both needed some down time! I won't ramble too much today, but wanted to share a project which was posted on the Our Daily Bread designs Blog last week for the "Time With....Angie" post.

I have used four of the DTGD challenges plus some challenges from blogland, which fit perfectly for this gorgeous (free) vintage image which I got from sweet Abby's blog, Little Birdie Blessings. DTGD12Westies;

Our Creative Corner: Bling Bling plus an item from nature;
Speedy the Fox's Friends' Challenge: Back To Nature;
Paper Play: Layer It Up!;
Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge: I chose this beautiful pillow from Selfridges & Co.

Our Daily Bread designs August New Release Blog Hop!
Hi everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs August New Release Blog Hop!!! This just might be our largest release....ever! If you haven't seen all of the new sets, check out the New Release Post HERE. There is a new ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders die set, seven stamp sets, and three new background stamps...wow!!
If you have hopped here from Sabrina's amazing blog, you are in the right place. If not, please head over to the ODBD Blog and start at the beginning....we don't want you to miss a thing! The hop will run until Thursday, August 2nd at 8 pm EDT. There will be six blessed winners of a free stamp set of choice...yay!! In case you lose your way, there is a full link list on the ODBD Blog, plus, the rules of the hop are listed there as well!
For my sample today, I have used the new "Daisy Background", "Bookmarks-Trees", and "Bookmark Verses". The background was created using the "Stained Glass Technique".....the "Daisy Background" was stamped onto white vellum, then the backside of the vellum was colored with markers. I ran the vellum piece through my Xyron Sticker Maker, then adhered it to white cardstock, which also acted as a mat. The edges were paper pierced, then I used a black marker to do some "Faux Stitching" for a little added character. The bookmark tag from "Bookmarks-Trees" and scripture from "Bookmark Verses" were stamped on white cardstock, then used the sponged cloud technique and sponged the outside green using masking. I cut around the outside edge of the stamped tag, then adhered to the black bookmark which was cut out with the "ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders 'Bookmarks' Dies". I wanted to be able to tuck in the bookmark without creating a pocket, so I cut out two fences with the "ODBD Fence Die" (glued them together to make a taller fence!), glued the fence on both ends only, so that the tag could tuck in behind it. The poly-twill ribbon and gingham ribbon were pleated using Scor-tape, then adhered to the fence. After adding some bows tied with a Bow Easy, plus some buttons, I decided it was "busy" enough and stopped there.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Daisy Background', 'Bookmarks-Trees', 'Bookmark Verses';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Basic Black and Whisper White, White Vellum;
Ink: Stampin Up Certainly Celery and Daffodil Delight, Stazon Jet Black;
Accessories: 'ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders Bookmark Dies', ODBD Fence Die, Bow Easy, Stampin Up Celery Twill, Offray Black Gingham ribbon, Bow Easy, Stampin Up Buttons, Paper Piercer and template, Scor-tape, foam tape, sponge daubers;
Size: A2.
For my second sample, I have used the "Weave Background", stamped on Glitz "Pretty in Pink" designer paper. The scripture verse is from the new "Bookmark Verses" set, framed with the Crocheted Circle from the "Serve The Lord" set and cut out with the matching "Crocheted Circle Die".
Card 'Ingredients';
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Weave Background', 'Bookmark Verses', and 'Serve The Lord';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Regal Rose and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Glitz 'Pretty In Pink';
Accessories: ODBD 'Crocheted Circle' Custom Cutting Die, Bow Easy, Prima Crocheted Lace, Satin Ribbon, Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Paper Piercer and Template, Sponge Daubers, Foam Tape;
Size: A2.
Now.....the moment you've been waiting for......on with the hop!!! Your next stop will be with my dear sweet and talented DT sister, Chris Olsen! You will love what she has in store for you!!
Enjoy the rest of the hop!!! God bless!!
