Happy Saturday, everyone!! I was so excited to start my three-day-weekend that I jumped out of bed and headed to my stamp room!! I was so happy to be able to play along with the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge today, which is one of my faves! This week's challenge is to find inspiration from the Oopsy Daisy site.....this beautiful wall hanging was the perfect nudge I needed to try out the new Hydrangea single stamp, just released yesterday by Our Daily Bread designs. The colors in the wall hanging remind me of my forgotten pack of Basic Grey Wisteria paper, which then led me to my retired pack of SU Almost Amethyst cardstock.
The photo above shows how I stamped the Hydrangea image three times in order to create a 3d effect. I wanted to cut out two of the three blooms to pop up, so to make it easier to follow while cutting, I colored the sections first, then cut them out. Using foam tape, I created three levels to the image. (Click on the photo for a closer look!) I used the extra pieces of the image to punch out a butterfly with a Martha Stewart punch....plus the butterfly 'trail' I pieced together from five previous flourishes' leftovers......I sure don't like anything to go to waste!! :)
Here is a close up which shows the "Illuminate" Smooch paint in the center of the blossoms, plus check out the amethyst doily which I cut out with my new French Pastry doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs. These dies are so awesome...I love how easy the little details cut out!!

Hi Angie,
This is such a beautiful card! I have a large hydrangea planted in my yard which is so beautiful when in full bloom. Your card captures the beauty of these lovely flowers so well. TFS

Just gorgeous and I love those dies also.
Love how you layered these! What I think is fabulous is that you cut the butterfly out of the extra - looks great!! Hugs
Angie, this card and all your cards are absolutely breathtaking. I feel honored to be the recipient of one of them. I will always treasure my card. ~ Abby
