Cake Inspired Wedding Gift and Card
Hi everyone! Just wanted to take a second and share a quick and easy wedding set I made. Thanks to all of the gorgeous designer papers out there today, some projects just fall into place because of the beautiful designs and colors....like this wedding set did for me!
This gorgeous frame I found on clearance at Target many months ago.....oh, how I wish they would have had more of them....they are perfect for wedding gifts!!
Both the "1st Corinthians" scripture stamp for the frame and the "Love One Another" scripture on the card were stamped (directly on Memory Box "Gossamer" paper) with SU Early Espresso Craft Ink, then clear embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. (Both stamps are from Our Daily Bread designs.) After heat embossing the framed piece, I used a die-cut oval mask to sponge lightly around the edges, then adhered each single pearl separately. The flourish on the card was a peel and stick...whew! :)
The Prima flower was sponged with pink and brown and a large Zva Creative pearl was added to the center. The May Arts Satin Ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy and adhered with Scor-tape. The Zva flourish was cut and pieced around the flower....I don't like to cover up any gorgeous pearls, so I always cut the sticky strip and piece them here and there....or save pieces for later!

This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to choose a cake (or cookies) from Maggie Austin Cake.....wow, you have to see these works of art!!! I loved the falling petals from the cake on the right, but the brown tones of the platter against the soft flowers of the cake on the left also spoke to me!
Thanks for stopping by today!!! Have a very blessed weekend!!!!

So very pretty, Angie! Luscious, even! Love the soft, delicate beauty! Blessings!
Wow this set is so beautiful! I love the soft DP and pearls embellishments that just set off and showcase the 1st Corinthians Love chapter and the verse on the card. I also like the touches of chocolate brown added on the card. Elegant and stunning works of art.
