ODBD Blog.....let us know you have finished!!

My first sample today features the 'Blossom' set, the ODBD Custom 'Beautiful Borders' Dies, and the ODBD Custom 'Doily' Dies.  The two rose images were stamped in bright blue (using masking), then the entire stamped circle was clear embossed.  Blue antique dishes have always been a fave of mine, so I tried to capture that look here, even if the camera did not agree! :)  To coordinate with the doily die, two border die cuts were trimmed down the center then matched up and the seam was covered by the ribbon. In addition to the ribbon, paper piercing and pearls were added for embellishments.

ODBD Blossom, ODBD Custom Doily Dies, ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies, Card Designer Angie Crockett

My second sample features the ODBD Custom 'Welcoming Window' Dies set, ODBD Custom 'Window Shutter and Awning' Dies set, ODBD Custom 'Flower Box Fillers' Dies, 'Home Sweet Home' clear stamps, ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies, and the ODBD 'Shabby Rose' Paper Collection.  I decided to make an inside window looking out, but, as you've seen today with all of the other samples, that these new dies make it easy to make both inside and outside windows....so fun!!  I used the crocheted background pattern from the  'Shabby Rose Paper Collection' for my wallpaper and valance.  The bottom white panel was scored with a Scor-buddy to mimic bead-board, but it was hard to pick up the scoring with the camera.  The background of the outside scene was sponged in a smoky blue color, using a die cut from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies set.  The sentiment from 'Home Sweet Home' was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies set....the same die which cut the white panel was traced onto the designer paper and trimmed by hand.

ODBD Home Sweet Home, ODBD Custom Welcoming Window Dies, ODBD Custom Window Shutter & Awning Dies, ODBD Custom Flower Box Fillers Dies, ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection, ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies, Card Designer Angie Crockett

Thanks for hanging out with us today!!

God bless!!

Hi Teamie. Lovin the crispness of the navy blues and white Roses on the first card and the gorgeous look of an inside of a window looking at a bright outdoor scene of the second card. Super great uses of cuts.

Wow, Angie, so many little details really add up to make two beautiful creations. Like you, I also have loved the blue dishes (my first kitchen was inspired by them). Love the clear embossing. But thanks for the tip about putting two layers together (and covering the seam with a ribbon). It looks amazing. I a really like those border dies! (wish list). You second card is also beautiful, again with lots of details. Nice idea for the bead board. Nice inspiration!

Great job! You certainly did capture the blue antique dishes, my 90-year old aunt collects these and I'm going to do something similar for her 91st birthday. Thanks for the idea. Your window card is adorable.

Angie , Both cards are beautifully done. I especially like the new window dies...your window looks like looking out the window from the inside a nice option other than looking from the outside in.
