Faux Silk Tutorial and Samples!

Happy Monday, everyone! I have two cards to share with you today, which I made while doing a "Faux Silk" tutorial over at the Our Daily Bread designs blog....check out the video and post HERE. We are in the middle of Anniversary Week over at ODBD, leading up to Saturday's reveal of the new Scripture Collection sets. Check out some ODBD info and our Anniversary Week itinerary on Betty's post HERE.

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Faithful Friend' (dragonfly), 'Sweet Friendship' (scripture);

My next sample also shows the 'Faux Silk' technique, but I've used patterned tissue paper instead of plain for the background.

You'll have to check out the 'Faux Silk' tutorial and try this for yourself. It's so simple and very fun!!

Both of these are stunning! Love how you did the background paper with the dragon flies and the second one is gorgeous with the tea pot and frame.

I just watched your video and loved the Faux Silk technique. I thought the tea set was a stamp before I came back to look at the video. Now I see that you use a designer tissue paper. I think this card is absolutely gorgeous.
