ODBD Classic Sketch Challenge #4

Hi everyone! It's Tuesday....that means another card challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs Forum. Since this is the fourth Tuesday of the month, it's my turn to present the "Classics Challenge", where we revisit an "oldie but goodie" challenge from the past. Jennipher Lowery originally designed this sketch, but I have recreated it with ODBD's sketch colors. There are no time limits for any of the challenges over at the ODBD Forum....come on over and play!! If you use ODBD stamps on your project, please upload it to the ODBD Card Gallery and paste a link in the challenge thread HERE. If you do not have Our Daily Bread designs stamps, that's okay....you can include a blog link or thumbnail photo within your comment in the challenge thread.

I have also used the Clean and Simple Challenge from Splitcoast to use Rich Razzleberry and White only....this was a tough challenge, especially combining with the sketch while trying to keep it simple!

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Spread Light' (will be released on March 1st);
Cardstock: Stampin Up Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White;
Ink: Rich Razzleberry;
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels Fifteen Dies, Zva Creative Pearls, Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner, Brocade Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug, May Arts Crocheted Lace, Stampin Up Rich Razzleberry Satin, paper piercer and template, sponge dauber, foam tape;

ODBDCC03 Classic "Color" Challenge!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Classics Challenge number three over at the ODBD Forum! Every Tuesday, there is a new card challenge....this week we will revisit a "classic" color challenge from the Christian Paper Crafts era of the forum. Though I do not believe in "coincidences", the timing of this color challenge and inspiration photo was perfect to create a sneaky peek of an upcoming set by Our Daily Bread designs, called "The Mighty Sea", which will be released on February 1. I have also entered this in the Hand-Stamped Sentiments "Beach" Challenge.

The ocean scene and sentiment were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored using sponge daubers and ink pads, plus markers. The ODBD Fence Die cut was wrapped in blue and white baker's twine to bring out the blue in the ocean. The card was embossed with a SU Square Lattice embossing folder.

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'The Mighty Sea';
Cardstock: SU Bravo Burgundy, Bordering Blue, Sahara Sand, and Whisper White;
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU Bravo Burgundy, Bordering Blue, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Apricot Appeal;
Accessories: ODBD Fence Die, Baker's Twine, Dew Drops, SU 'Square Lattice' Embossing Folder, paper piercer and template, sponge daubers, foam tape;
Size: 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.

Classics Challenge

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday! Today is my very first day hosting a new challenge over at the ODBD Forum, previously known as Christian Paper Crafts. Our Daily Bread designs has recently acquired the community forum, which now looks different, but things are mostly the same. Though the normal challenges remain on the ODBD blog each month, at the ODBD Forum, there are weekly challenges just for fun, which have been carried over from Christian Paper Crafts. Come on over and check us out! There is a John Bible study by Natalie Houston which is very thorough and insightful, there are devotionals, praise and prayer requests, plus lots of paper-crafting tips and fun as well.

One of the new challenges at the ODBD Forum is the Classic Challenge, which revisits some classic color and sketch challenges from Christian Paper Crafts. This weeks Classic Challenge, ODBDCC01,is a color challenge and is based on the previous CPC84 inspiration piece.....use the colors from this cute little high chair. I love all of the browns and blues together....one of my fave color combos! I chose to use Memory Box 'Minuet' designer paper since it matched all of the colors of the high chair. Memory Box seems to have just about any color combo you need!

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Faith';
Cardstock: SU Crumb Cake and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: 'Minuet' by Memory Box;
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Ranger Antique Linen, SU Bashful Blue;
Accessories: Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, May Arts Suede Leaves and Crocheted Lace, CM Corner Rounder, Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Paper Piercer and Template, Sponge Dauber, Foam Tape;
Size: 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you come over to the ODBD Forum and join us! God Bless!
