Below are the stamps and dies I am featuring in my post today, either in my two new creations or sneak peeks from the past few days:

ODBD Quilts ODBD Sewing

ODBD Hand Knit ODBD Custom Knitting Basket and Yarn Dies

ODBD Custom Doily Dies ODBD Doily Blessings

ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies ODBD Ornate Hearts Dies

My first sample for today features the "Quilts" stamp set, ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies, and the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Dies.  The quilt image was stamped in black, colored with purple/yellow/green/peach/pink markers, then the center was cut out with the 2nd smallest die in the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Dies set.  The heart was made into a five-layer button (see tutorial here).  The first two words of the sentiment were stamped on white, then cut out by hand and popped up with foam tape; the 'sew' word was stamped onto the card base through the heart opening (using scratch paper to mask each side).  The border frame was created by mitering four borders cut out with the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies, then sewing embroidery thread through the openings.

My next sample features the image and a sentiment from the "Sewing" set, along with the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies and ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Dies once again.  The stitched border image and sentiment were stamped in black onto ivory cardstock, then matted with some aida cloth which was stitched with blue embroidery thread.  The plaid strip is from some scrap fabric which has been in my stash for many years. The heart die cut through the fabric easily; after adhering it to cardstock and cutting out the holes with a Cropodile, Glossy Accents was added.  The same thread used for the stitching was used in the button and also threaded through the border die cut.

7-ngie, your quilt card reminds me of my Britsh sister in laws creations. She will frame needlework and surround the piece with homemade bobbin lace. What a colorful and beautiful creation. You rock!!! All of these are very pretty! Love the misted doily too!!!!

Angie - WOW!! Your first card is beautiful - I love the frame you created by mitering corners (I'm not sure exactly how you did that but it's FABULOUS!!). And I love your five layer heart button - wow!! All your other samples are also gorgeous - I especially love the beauty and simplicity of your "God bless you' sneak peak card. You've given me so much inspiration today - thank you for that my special friend!
Blessings,
Audrey

I love the color schemes, layouts and techniques you have used on these cards. All of them are gorgeous. My very favorite card is the one with the plaid. First of all I love plaid. But when I saw that you had used actual fabric and then made the heart button out of it, I was amazed. What a great idea. I love the stitching on the cloth that frames the sentiment panel and runs through the border die cut. Amazing card. All of them are really.
