Hi, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving!
This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to find inspiration from the Horchow site......I fell in love with the purple, green, and white color combo of these gorgeous table linens. This week's Queen for the Day is Beverly aka ruby-heartedmom.....congrats, Beverly!!!! Her gallery is full of so many cool techniques, so I decided to try the stained glass technique as she did on this beautiful card. I tried a single image as she did, but it didn't turn out well, so instead I used the Ornate Background stamp from Our Daily Bread designs (available December 1st). The background was stamped onto white vellum with versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then the entire underside was colored with a sponge dauber in light purple, then markers highlighted the ornate designs. The vellum panel was adhered to white cardstock using a Xyron Sticker Maker Machine, then matted, paper pierced and popped up with foam tape over light purple cardstock. Since this is a birthday card for a dear friend, I also added a sentiment from the "Ornate Borders Sentiments", stamped over the "Ornate Borders and Flowers" design, cut out with the custom "Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set" (all available Dec 1st). The leaves were cut out with the ODBD "Fancy Foliage" Die Set.
Thanks for visiting today! Don't forget.....Our Daily Bread designs has a huge sale going on right now, plus Blog Candy.....check out the details HERE!
Have a very blessed weekend!!!
