Hi everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! I've been having fun in my stamp room since it's been so hot outside, but today in Indiana, it's much cooler and gorgeous outside....the swing in the back yard is calling my name!!!Today I would like to share a quick birthday card I made lastnight for my brother-in-law. I used to struggle with masculine cards, but Our Daily Bread designs has released so many masculine sets in the past year that I have many options to choose from....yay!!
I started out by stamping the clock image from the ODBD set, "Time", in Cajun Craze (stamped off first on scratch paper for a lighter image), then overstamped in Stazon Timber Brown ink with the "Each Minute" single stamp, also by ODBD. I cut out the clock, sponged the edges heavily with SU Early Espresso, pierced around the circle freehand, then popped up over the dry embossed panel, which was sponged and pierced as well. Added some brass brads and twill and it's ready to go!Card ingredients:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Time' and 'Each Minute';
Cardstock: SU Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White;
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, SU Cajun Craze and Early Espresso;
Accessories: May Arts Twill Ribbon, Brass Brads, Clockworks Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug, paper piercer and template, sponge daubers;
Techniques: Dry Embossing, Clean and Simple, Paper Piercing;
Size: A2.
This week's Wednesday Case Artist over at Christian Paper Crafts is Maxine from New Zealand.....congrats, Maxine!!! Check out her blog, Kiwime's Kreations.....Maxine is a dear Christian lady and a talented paper-crafter as well. I chose this gorgeous card to re-create because of the gorgeous embossed background and great clean and simple layout. Thanks for the inspiration, Maxine!!I have also used the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast to help design this card. I chose this room from the Dali Decals site.....as soon as I saw the colors and the gears and cogs, I knew exactly what to make!!Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned tomorrow for my sneak peek (and a fun tutorial) of the Christian Paper Crafts Design Team Delights Gallery which opens on June 15th!God's blessings to you!
Hi everyone!This just may be the most simple card I have made since my early stamping days! I have to say that I am addicted to designer papers....there are so many companies out there now with such variety in designs and colors....Basic Grey, Prima, SEI, Pink Paislee, Memory Box, etc. I honestly don't know if I could choose a fave, but I am really loving this Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle' 6x6 pack! Some of the designs are so gorgeous that I am challenged to create the most simple cards so not to cover up the paper!!

Hello, everyone! This week Christian Paper Crafts is sponsoring the CPS Sketch Challenge #221! (To the left). I just had to play along....isn't this a fun sketch? Check out all of the challenge details and awesome samples here at the CPS Challenge blog. As soon as I saw the center circle panel, I knew I had to use this new set by Our Daily Bread designs, called "Time". Plus, it's perfect timing for a co-worker's birthday....I love when a plan comes together!
This was such a fun and easy card to make. The clock was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, colored with sponge daubers and markers, cut out, paper pierced, and popped up with foam tape. I stamped an extra set of clock hands to pop up as well. The Bo Bunny "Timepiece" designer paper was cut into three pieces, corners rounded, sponged, then paper pierced....also popped up with foam tape. The little gold pieces are Hero Arts Metallic Decor, which I found last year in the clearance section at Archivers....they have the best clearance!!! The center of the tag was popped up and the outside edges were adhered flat against the May Arts Twill Ribbon, to give a rounded look....looks better in the real!

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Time';
Cardstock: SU Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Bo Bunny 'Timepiece';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU markers and ink pads;

This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Taylor Usry......yay, Taylor girl!!! I fell in love with the layout of this gorgeous card from Taylor's gallery, and just had to re-create it. Happy Thursday, everyone! It's time for another fun Stamping in Time: On Assignment Challenge over at Our Daily Bread designs! This week we have a fabulous guest hostess, Becky Reed, who has challenged us to create any card, layout, or altered item using our favorite ODBD stamp set. Picking my favorite set was a challenge in itself, but since I use the Happy Birthday set more than any other, I used one of the scriptures as my focal point. The stamped frame is from Fancy Labels, stamped once in Pink Pirouette and once in Basic Gray (then cut out and popped up the center). The background is a brand new stamp which was released on June 1st.....it's called "Crocheted Background".
If you would like to play along with the Stamping in Time Challenge, please check out all of the details on how to participate and win......HERE on the ODBD blog. Also, please visit BECKY and BETTY and leave them a little love since they have created some gorgeous samples for us!
