Hello, everyone, and Happy Thursday to you! Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly "For the Love" Blog Hop. This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop "For the Love of ODBD Good Steward sets"! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, check the ODBD blog for full list of links. One of the posts is a "hop hot spot" and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love! You have until Wednesday, July 4th at 6 pm EDT to complete the hop. Enjoy all the awesome inspiration using For the Love of ODBD Good Steward sets!
If you have hopped here from sweet Grace's amazing blog, you are in the right place. If not, please head over to the ODBD Blog and start from the beginning....we don't want you to miss a thing!
For my first sample today, I have used one of my favorite ODBD stamps, the "Prayer of St. Francis". These beautiful words have always been profound for me.....to be a blessing to others in a world of negativity and darkness is all I have ever wanted to do.
The shaped card base was cut out with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur, then I cut another panel from the Bo Bunny "Ambrosia" designer paper collection to adhere to the top in order to cover up the fold. (Click HERE for a tutorial on how to cut a shaped card using cutting dies.) The "Prayer of St. Francis" was stamped directly onto the designer paper. The "2-step Butterfly" outline was stamped onto the same "Ambrosia' paper, then cut out using the custom "Grunge Butterfly Die". The edges of the designer paper and butterfly were sponged in tangerine to bring out the accent color in the paper. My original plan was to embellish this very heavily, but after adding the lace, I decided it was beautiful on its own.
I will be submitting this card to the following challenges:
Paper Play: Die Cuts;
Paper Playtime: Anything Goes Plus a Sentiment.
For my next sample, I used another powerful set, "Mother Teresa"! More words of wisdom here....I love this set!!!
Since I still had the Bo Bunny "Ambrosia" paper pad on my desk, I decided to use it for my second sample! The colors are so vivid and rich and beautiful!! I chose dark teal cardstock, and pink and lavender ink to compliment the colors in the designer paper. The flower shaped panel was cut from the Spellbinders "Blossom Tags and Accents" die set, the pearls are from Want2Scrap, the lace is Prima, and thanks to the dark cardstock, you can actually see the 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist I sprayed over the finished card!!
I will be submitting this for the following challenges:
Sketch Challenge 390 at Splitcoast Stampers;
Paper Play: Die Cuts;
Paper Playtime: Anything Goes Plus a Sentiment.
Now....back to the hop!!!! Your next stop is with "card-making-machine", Lori!!! Hold onto your socks, folks, because Lori has made not one, not two, but three amazing samples for your viewing pleasure today!!!!
Thanks for hanging out with me and the other Breadsticks today! Happy Hopping and God bless!

the second is very pretty too with the fresh papers and neat design, like the sentiment stamping over the image!
I do English Bulldog rescue and have a large statue of St. Francis in my backyard at a fountain! I love this poem and think of my guys everytime I read it. I have used this on many sympathy cards for fellow animal lovers who have lost babies. Thank you and ODBD for remembering our furry kids and how much they mean to us. Love this card!!
What beautiful cards. The Mother Teresa set is one of my favorite sets.
Both card are beautiful.

I really love these two sets you chose today, Angie. Your cards are stunning. I love that these sets show that being a good steward is not always about a physical doing, but a "way" or a "showing" of love and kindness to others, too. Sometimes just being there to hold someones hand or give a hug. Beautifully done!
Beautiful sentiments and gorgeous color choices. I love the messages of your cards and the bright, cheerful hues!
These are both beautiful Angie. I love the prayer, and the elegant simplicity of the card. I also love yellow!
I also love anything from Mother Theresa, and your second card sets her saying off perfectly.
Very pretty--I like the lace on both.
Love it, Angie girl! My fave part is "for it is in giving that we receive". In this "me" society we live in it is so awesome to have friends like you in my life where I see that line in action. You are such a GIVING person! Mwaaah!
Wowzer Angie!! These cards are stunning!! I love these stamps and you have displayed them beautifully. While I am not usually a yellow person, I just adore that first card. GORGEOUS GF!!!
