Hi, everyone! This month's Bird of the Month is the Hawk! I had fun with this one! There are so many color variations, so I chose three different color patterns for my samples today. To find out more about the Birthday Bird of the Month, click HERE!
My first sample was created for my nephew's birthday. I chose the camo pattern from the Menswear Collection Paper Pad, the Slimline Woodgrain Embossing Folder, and the following dies: Pierced Thin Rectangles, Thin Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer. The image was colored partially with markers but mostly with Blending Brushes using reverse masks cut from scratch paper. For this hawk, a clear gel pen was used on the chest before coloring for a resist effect.
Next is a simple design, pairing one of the gorgeous scenes from the Majestic Mountains Slimline Card Fronts paper pad and the following dies: Double Stitched Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer. The image was colored the same way as the first sample. Foam Mounting Tape was used to pop up the elements for dimension.
My third sample was created for another nephew's birthday. He lives in Texas so I chose a southwestern scene for him. The background paper is from the Landscapes Paper Pad. Additional dies used are the Cowboys & Cactus Silhouettes, Slimline Curvy Slopes, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer.
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
