Divinity Designs LLC September Birthday Bird of the Month - the Hawk!

Hi, everyone!  This month's Bird of the Month is the Hawk!  I had fun with this one!  There are so many color variations, so I chose three different color patterns for my samples today.  To find out more about the Birthday Bird of the Month, click HERE!

My first sample was created for my nephew's birthday.  I chose the camo pattern from the Menswear Collection Paper Pad, the Slimline Woodgrain Embossing Folder, and the following dies: Pierced Thin Rectangles, Thin Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer. The image was colored partially with markers but mostly with Blending Brushes using reverse masks cut from scratch paper.  For this hawk, a clear gel pen was used on the chest before coloring for a resist effect.

Next is a simple design, pairing one of the gorgeous scenes from the Majestic Mountains Slimline Card Fronts paper pad and the following dies: Double Stitched Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer.  The image was colored the same way as the first sample.  Foam Mounting Tape was used to pop up the elements for dimension.

My third sample was created for another nephew's birthday.  He lives in Texas so I chose a southwestern scene for him.  The background paper is from the Landscapes Paper Pad.  Additional dies used are the Cowboys & Cactus Silhouettes, Slimline Curvy Slopes, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer.

Divinity Designs LLC September New Release!

Hi, everyone!  It's time to reveal the September New Release from Divinity Designs LLC!  This year has flown by and now we are gearing up for fall!  The new goodies this month are super fun....hope you enjoy them!  Check out all of the new products and gorgeous designer samples HERE on the website or HERE on Instagram!

My first sample features 'The Harvest' Stamp/Die Duo set and the following items: Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, Blending Brushes, and Foam Mounting Tape.  The gingham bow was tied with a Bow Easy tool.

Next up is a quick design where the gorgeous designer paper from 'Mosaic Pumpkins A2 Card Fronts' does most of the work.  I gravitated toward the blue tones in the paper and paired blue foil cardstock for the layers behind the sentiment and image panel.  The sentiment from Happy Thanksgiving 1 Stamp/Die Duo was stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto vellum, backed with an Adhesive Sheet.  Once cut with the layering die, the vellum was adhered to the designer paper and cut out again.  The sentiment panel was layered twice then popped up with Foam Mounting Tape. Other dies used: Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer.

For my third sample, I created a fun Slimline shaker card with three of the adorable scarecrows from the Scarecrow Season Paper Pad and a sentiment from 'The Harvest' Stamp/Die Duo set.  Other items used: Circles Dies, Scalloped Circles Dies, Slimline Card Base, Slimline Rounded Window Die, Foam Mounting Tape, and the Autumn Plaid Slimline Paper Pad.

Thanks for hanging out with us today!

Blessings,

Divinity Designs LLC - July Blessings Box New Samples!

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share more fun samples featuring the goodies from the July Blessings Box subscription.  Check out all of the details regarding the Blessings Box HERE!

For my first sample, I paired the Apron & Tools Dies set with several fun patterns (plus bees and a sentiment) from the Bumblebees Paper/Die Duo Paper Pad.  I had not used this die set for a while so this was super fun to create. Other items used: Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, Blending Brush, and Foam Mounting Tape.

I had fun creating this one as well.  I chose a super fun pattern from the Ladybugs Paper/Die Duo Paper Pad, a pair of Gnomes from the Ladybug Gnomes Paper/Die Duo Paper Pad which paired perfectly with the cute sentiment.  Other items used for this card: Leafy Edged Borders Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, Foam Mounting Tape, and a Blending Brush.

My next sample is one of my faves this time around.  One of the bookmark dies from the Bookmarks Trio Dies set was used to cut a bookmark from the Bumblebees Bookmarks Paper Pad.  Only the bottom half of the bookmark die was used, for the top and the bottom.  (Tape down the die and only partially die cut it,  flip the die around and partially die cut the other end.) Other items used for this card: Mini Slimline Card Base, Mini Slimline Rectangles and Layering Rectangles Dies, Slimline Lattice Embossing Folder, Busy Bee Dies, Honeycomb Layering Combo 2 Dies, Adhesive Sheets, and a sentiment from Simple Things.  After die-cutting the honeycomb layer in gold, I used three of the cut-outs for embellishments in the corner.  Gold Cord at the bottom tied all of the golden elements together (no pun intended!)

My last sample for today is a Mini Card created with the following items: Ladybug Dies, Ladybug Paper/Die Duo Paper Pad, Leafy Edged Borders Dies, Mini Card and Double Layers Dies, and Foam Mounting Tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings,

For my first sample, I chose to pair one of the gorgeous patterns from the Vintage Sunflowers A2 Card Fronts, the Sunflower Layering Combo 2 Dies, and a sentiment from Forever Friends.  Other items used: Treat Tags Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, Blending Brushes, and Foam Mounting Tape.

My next sample, I combined one of the patterns from the Stained Glass Sunflowers Square Card Fronts Paper Pad with the Sunflower Gnomes Paper/Die Duo pack, the Gift Giving Goodie Bag Dies, and a sentiment from Forever Friends, cut out with the Treat Tags Dies.

Next up is a fun little card with matching envelope.  The card and layers were cut with the Mini Card and Double Layers Dies.  The image and sentiment from Forever Friends was stamped onto the white panel, cut with the layering die; while the panel was still in the die, the background was lightly colored with blending brushes before coloring the image with markers. The envelope was cut with the R.S.V.P. Envelope Die; one of the patterns from the Sunflower Bookmarks paper pad was used for the flap of the envelope.

And last but  not least, a thank you card created for my In-Laws for a recent act of kindness and generosity.  They both love gnomes so I chose a cutesie pair from the Sunflower Gnomes Paper/Die Duo Paper Pad, along with a gorgeous pattern from the Stained Glass Sunflower Square Card Fronts Paper Pad and a sentiment from Forever Friends.  Other items used: Ovals Dies, Double Stitched Ovals Dies, Squares Dies, Square Card Base, Double Stitched Squares Dies, Sentiment Strips 2 Dies, Blending Brush, and Foam Mounting Tape.

For my second sample, the same coloring method and dies were used.  This time I chose a fun palm pattern from the Menswear Collection Paper Pad.
