Vintage Flag Birthday!

Happy Thursday, everyone! Today I would like to share a clean and simple birthday card which I made for my boss. Though you have probably seen this awesome scripture stamp before from Our Daily Bread designs' Scripture Collection Three, this vintage flag image, called "Old Flag Background" will be released on Friday.....isn't it cool?! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is perfect....Something Old (scripture verse) and Something New (flag stamp)!

Since there will be a lot of red, white, and blue cards around next week for the 4th of July, I decided to go with a non-traditional color for the flag on this card, especially since it's for a birthday card. I've really been hooked on this Cajun Craze color by Stampin Up, so I stamped the image in Stazon Timber Brown (stamped off first), then sponged and overstamped with the Cajun Craze. Added some paper piercing, antique pewter brads, linen thread, and it's done! Most guys don't care for the "overdone" cards, so I made this one as simple as possible.

Thanks again for stopping by! Come on back tomorrow (Friday) at 8 am EDT for the Our Daily Bread designs July New Release Blog Hop, not just for a chance to win stamps from ODBD, but you have got to see the gorgeous samples by my fellow Breadsticks as well!

Have a blessed day!!
