Stamping in Time and Bible Verse Thursday

You know me.....I love to kill many birds with one stone!!! Today is Bible Verse Thursday over at Christian Paper Crafts....this week's challenge is to use any verse for encouragement...so this one is wide open.....make any card, scrapbook page, altered item or gift.....as long as there is a verse which uplifts and encourages someone. The bible tells us how we are all blessed with different spiritual gifts....the gift of encouragement being one of them. I believe it is our duty as Christians to continually seek opportunities to uplift or encourage someone, even if it is with a smile.....you never know when a simple gesture just might change ( or save ) someone's life!

The color scheme for my sample today is from the Splitcoast Color Challenge, which is Close to Cocoa, Barely Banana, Garden Green, with a dessert option of pearl flourishes and a cherry-on-top option of using Soft Sky(I had to substitute Bashful Blue instead!)

Today's Ways To Use It challenge at Spliltcoast is "No Place Like Home".....I have many flower gardens (some are jungles!), but my fave garden has tons of lilies of different types and colors!

Also, today brings a new Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge on the Our Daily Bread designs' blog, of which Betty asked me to be the "hostess with the mostest" this week! The assignment is simple........use ODBD stamps and "Create A Scene" for your project. Of course Our Daily Bread designs has many gorgeous scenery stamps, however, you may also get creative and use some of your ODBD stamps in a new way! For example, I used the lilies from "I Am The Way" along with some Basic Grey "Nook & Pantry" paper, and a Martha Stewart fence punch with some Creative Imaginations "Real Wood" paper. (The scripture verse is from "Scripture Collection 2".) A couple pearl flourishes from Zva Creative, plus a satin bow tied with a Bow Easy, and it's good to go!

Check out these gorgeous samples for this challenge:

So, come on.....let's see what you've got!!! Start "making a scene" right now.....link your project at the ODBD blog and you could win a $15.00 gift certificate toward ODBD stamps!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! God Bless!
