ODBD Anniversary Celebration Continues! Plus....Blog Candy Winner!

Welcome to day five of Our Daily Bread Designs Anniversary Celebration Week! Check out the ODBD blog to catch up on all of the "fun stuff" going on!!

Today, check out Judy's blog...her feature today Glimmer Mist and the "Cross of Christ" stamp set....her card is soooo beautiful and has such an elegant style!

Don't miss Jane's gorgeous "Lord is My Shepherd" cards have to check out her blog as well. One of these talented gals is giving away BLOG CANDY....YUMMY!

My card today was made for the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast. Here is the cross which I used as my inspiration from the Fitz and Floyd catalog. The stamps I used are from ODBD's "May God Hold You" and the little circle medallion stamp is from Stampin' Up's "True Friend" set. This card is unusual, I know.....sort of Ireland meets The Old West!!! I stamped the cross, cut it out, embossed the whole piece with Golden Sand embossing powder (for the bottom layer). I embossed the cross in copper, cut out inner decorative pieces, colored them with Really Rust, and adhered them on the cross. I also copper embossed the "western medallion" twice, colored with Really Rust (and Close to Cocoa on the center piece). Added clear gemstones as in the inspiration cross. It's not exactly the same, but I think it's kinda cool! Copper embossed the sentiment .....I'm so excited that you can actually read it!! Embossing is not always my friend! Finished with paper piercing and some stamped twill! Hope ya'all like it!!!

Oh yeah....the BLOG CANDY WINNER!!! I printed all of your lovely comments, cut out each one, placed them all in a hat, and my hubby reached in and picked the winner:
Sheri is the winner, but does not have a profile link. Sheri, please contact me by noon on Monday, the 16th or another name will be drawn. Congrats to Sheri!
