ODBD Custom Pinecones Dies ODBD Lovely Leaves Dies

ODBD Sing For Joy ODBD Home Sweet Home

ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals ODBD Custom Ovals Dies

ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies ODBD Custom Gilded Gate Dies

ODBD Custom Welcoming Window Dies ODBD Custom Windows Dies

ODBD Custom Window Shutter and Awning Dies ODBD Custom Flower Box Fillers Dies

ODBD Chalkboard Vine Background ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013

For my first sample, I chose a pattern from the ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013, along with the 'Sing for Joy' set since they both coordinated with the new ODBD Custom Pinecones Dies and ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies (pine branch).  The cardinal was popped up onto a matted panel cut from the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies and ODBD Custom Ovals Dies.  The designer paper was trimmed on each side with the ODBD Beautiful Borders Dies. (P.S.  If you decide to add this beautiful cardinal to your wish list, don't forget to add the ODBD Custom Cardinal Die as well.....silly me, I forgot that I had that die and spent fifteen minutes fussy cutting the image! lol!!)

ODBD Sing For Joy, ODBD Custom Pinecones Dies, ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies, ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies, ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013, Card Designer Angie Crockett

My 2nd card is a birthday card custom made for my mother-in-law.  She shared an old tattered photo of her childhood home (shown below the card) and asked if I could design her birthday card around that.  She and her siblings would climb up on the porch awning and eat cherries from the cherry tree, so I added some branches and red rhinestones to mimic the tree.  The tree branches were cut from the ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies; the 'branch' was colored with a brown marker.  I used the ODBD Custom Welcoming Windows Dies, ODBD Custom Window Shutter and Awning Dies, ODBD Custom Flower Box Fillers Dies, and the ODBD Custom Windows Dies set (for the inside curtains, which were stamped with the Chalkboard Vine Background stamp).  To match the porch railing in the photo, I cut two pieces of fencing from the ODBD Custom Gilded Gate Dies, then trimmed off the top curved portion.  The sentiment is from 'Home Sweet Home.'

  18. Lovely cards. I like the cardinal with the pine cones and lovely leaves die. The red and white twine you added was nice. It did crack me up that you forgot that you had the die for the cardinal.

The 2nd card is special as you made it for a family member who has a nice memory of her childhood. Loved looking at the old picture. I still love a porch.
