These are the items I chose to work with this month:

Our Daily Bread designs Chris The Lord Background Our Daily Bread designs St. Patrick's Day

Our Daily Bread designs Shabby Rose Paper Collection Our Daily Bread designs Custom Beautiful Borders Dies

My first sample for today features the St. Patrick's Day set.  The celtic-style frame was stamped in black, fussy cut inside and outside, then popped up over the prayer which was stamped directly onto the designer paper from the ODBD 'Shabby Rose Paper Collection'.  The border was cut with the ODBD Custom 'Beautiful Borders' Dies set, then layered with matching ribbon and linen thread. The designer paper is so beautiful that I didn't want to cover it up, so I just added paper piercing and some pearls to finish it out.

My next sample features the 'Christ the Lord Background', which combines the beautiful hymn plus some design elements from various stamps and designer papers from ODBD.  The background was stamped in Stazon Jet Black directly onto a pattern from the ODBD 'Shabby Rose Paper Collection', and again on white cardstock (so that I could fussy cut the flowers in the corner and pop them up.)  I kept the design as simple as possible so that the powerful hymn would not be covered up.  The edges were sponged and highlighted with markers before matting.  Paper piercing, pearls, and baker's twine were added for finishing touches.

Then the next one in green with the shamrocks also simple beauty.
I always love to see how others use a background, like Christ the Lord is Risen Today. The clolors are soft and very elegant. So inspring.
