ODBD "For the Love of Designer Favorites" Blog Hop!

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the "For the Love Of Designer's Favorites" Blog Hop, hosted by our fabulous Alumni Team! This time around the hop focus is on the favorite ODBD set(s) of each "Breadstick" (ODBD Designer)! In order to qualify to win a gift certificate for the ODBD Store, hop to the blogs of the participating designers, leave a comment, then head back to the ODBD Blog and let us know that you have completed the hop. The hop will run until Wednesday, December 19th at 6 pm EST. If you get lost along the way, a full list is on the ODBD Blog.

If you have hopped here from Lori's amazing blog, you are in the right place. If not, please head to the ODBD Blog and start from the beginning......I promise, you don't want to miss a thing. Plus, one of the designer's blogs is the HOT SPOT, from where the winner will be drawn!!

Since I own most of ODBD's stamps, it is difficult to choose just one favorite, so I have chosen two of my "go-to" sets.

Our Daily Bread designs "Keep My Lamp Burning"

My first sample features "Keep My Lamp Burning", which I normally use for masculine cards, but this time around I have a dear friend who loves lighthouses, so I put on some frilly touches. Her favorite lighthouses are red and white, so I sponged red ink, using post-its for masking.  The background scene was colored with sponge daubers and ink pads.  The compass, seagulls, and lighthouse were all cut out and popped up for extra dimension.  If you would like a closer look, please click on the photo.

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Keep My Lamp Burning';
Designer Paper: Basic Grey 'Curio';
Accessories: May Arts Crocheted Ribbon, Zva Creative Pearls, Paper piercer and template, sponge daubers, foam tape;
Size: A2.

My second sample features the gorgeous "Faith" set. I used the wonderful sketch from this week's Shining The Light Challenge for the layout of my card.  The butterfly image from the "Faith" set also has a custom cutting die, "Butterfly Branch", which cuts it out perfectly, however, I decided to overstamp the scripture verse on the same panel  instead.
