Our Daily Bread designs August New Release Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs August New Release Blog Hop!!!  This just might be our largest release....ever!  If you haven't seen all of the new sets, check out the New Release Post HERE.  There is a new ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders die set, seven stamp sets, and three new background stamps...wow!!

If you have hopped here from Sabrina's amazing blog, you are in the right place.  If not, please head over to the ODBD Blog and start at the beginning....we don't want you to miss a thing!  The hop will run until Thursday, August 2nd at 8 pm EDT.  There will be six blessed winners of a free stamp set of choice...yay!!  In case you lose your way, there is a full link list on the ODBD Blog, plus, the rules of the hop are listed there as well!

For my sample today, I have used the new "Daisy Background", "Bookmarks-Trees", and "Bookmark Verses". The background was created using the "Stained Glass Technique".....the "Daisy Background" was stamped onto white vellum, then the backside of the vellum was colored with markers. I ran the vellum piece through my Xyron Sticker Maker, then adhered it to white cardstock, which also acted as a mat. The edges were paper pierced, then I used a black marker to do some "Faux Stitching" for a little added character.  The bookmark tag from "Bookmarks-Trees" and scripture from "Bookmark Verses" were stamped on white cardstock, then used the sponged cloud technique and sponged the outside green using masking. I cut around the outside edge of the stamped tag, then adhered to the black bookmark which was cut out with the "ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders 'Bookmarks' Dies".  I wanted to be able to tuck in the bookmark without creating a pocket, so I cut out two fences with the "ODBD Fence Die" (glued them together to make a taller fence!), glued the fence on both ends only, so that the tag could tuck in behind it.  The poly-twill ribbon and gingham ribbon were pleated using Scor-tape, then adhered to the fence. After adding some bows tied with a Bow Easy, plus some buttons, I decided it was "busy" enough and stopped there.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Daisy Background', 'Bookmarks-Trees', 'Bookmark Verses';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Basic Black and Whisper White, White Vellum;
Ink: Stampin Up Certainly Celery and Daffodil Delight, Stazon Jet Black;
Accessories: 'ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders Bookmark Dies', ODBD Fence Die, Bow Easy, Stampin Up Celery Twill, Offray Black Gingham ribbon, Bow Easy, Stampin Up Buttons, Paper Piercer and template, Scor-tape, foam tape, sponge daubers;
Size: A2.

For my second sample, I have used the "Weave Background", stamped on Glitz "Pretty in Pink" designer paper.  The scripture verse is from the new "Bookmark Verses" set, framed with the Crocheted Circle from the "Serve The Lord" set and cut out with the matching "Crocheted Circle Die".

    Both of your creations today are yumminess!!! I love how you created a card, but yet the recipient gets a bonus that will be filled with special memories of you and the Lord :) This stamp and die set is P2----Precious n Powerful:) The way you colored it and added the gingham is the cherry on top:) You do such a super job:) On the second card---I LOVE the background stamp and the way you combined it with the lace and crocheted circle:) The background reminds me of almost a zebra print----I also really like the you laced the ribbon through your lace ---creating an optical illusion that the ribbon is lace through the circle, too:) And YES----He is my refuge and my fortress---my God in whom I trust:) Thank You Jesus:) Thank you Angie---for sharing and for shining His light into the world:) be blessed

    What stunning cards! I just love the daisy card. I fell in love with the daisy background...you really did a sensational job it! The buttons, the faux stitching, paper piercing, and the postfence...all make an amazing background for one of my favorite Scriptures on the bookmark! Fabulous job!

    And, I love how the background of the second card came out! I never imagined it like that. The doily background with the Psalm on it looks a bit like a sun with the bg looking like the sunrays coming from it. I just love the lace. These are both such eye-catching, fabulous cards, Angie! Love them!
