Our Daily Bread designs "For The Love Of...." Blog Hop!

Happy Thursday, everyone!!!  Woo hoo, it's time for another Our Daily Bread designs "For the Love Of...." Blog Hop, hosted by our fabulous Alumni Team, and joined by some of the Design Team and Challenge Team!!!  The theme this time around is "For the Love Of.....Celebrations!"  During the hop today, you will see many different types of celebratory projects, for example, weddings, babies, graduations, anniversaries, and so on!   For a chance to win, hop to each of the blogs, leave a comment on each, then head to the ODBD Blog to let us know that you have hopped to each spot.  You have until Wednesday, June 6th at 6pm EST to complete the hop!

By the way, if you have hopped here from Sabrina's fabulous blog, you are right where you want to be.  If you just stopped by for a visit, please make sure you head over to the ODBD Blog and start at the beginning and to see all of the deets, including the entire link list.

For my hop sample today, I have used the "Love" set, shown below, in order to make a 20th Anniversary card for my hubby!  Since we celebrated our anniversary by going on a cruise, I thought a beach scene card would be appropriate.

The main panel of my card was cut at 5-3/8 square (since the card base itself was 5-1/2 square).  I placed a scratch paper mask just about half way down the panel, and sponged the water first.  Using the same ink, I sponged clouds over a punched scallop circle, then used a Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner to stamp the sentiment from the "Count The Waves" set.  The beach was created by cutting a piece of Kraft cardstock, then the top edge was torn for an uneven look.  The "Happy Anniversary" sentiment was stamped onto the cardstock, adhered to the main panel, then the shell sticker was added.  Ultrafine Flower Soft "Sand" was then used to cover the Kraft panel all over so that the sentiment looks as though it was written in the sand.

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Love' and 'Count The Waves';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Early Espresso (BROWN), Whisper White, and Crumb Cake (Kraft);
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Stampin Up Pool Party;
Accessories: May Arts Twill Ribbon, Stampin Up Buttons, Baker's Twine, Sea Shell Sticker, Ultrafine 'Sand' Flower Soft, Flower Soft Glue, Paper Piercer and Template, Foam Tape, Sponge Dauber;
Size: 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.

I have included the Perfect Sentiments Challenge also, which was to create a masculine card, with a sentiment of your feelings, plus no designer paper.

Now, the moment you've been waiting for....on with the hop!!!!!

Your next stop with be with the uber-talented Lori!!!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!!!!

God bless!

  19. at first i thought the card was just the bottom portion and i thought how cute tehn i scrolled further and the whole card was revealed and i was even more impressed. i love to see a nice cas card that i could, on a good day, use as a guide. this one is just that. plain in a good way and i don't think the guy would even notice the ribbon, :) wonderfully pleasing work of art.
