Our Daily Bread designs "For the Love of....Background Stamps" Blog Hop!

Happy Thursday, everyone!!! It's time for another Alumni Team Blog Hop....the theme this time around is "For the Love Of.....Background Stamps!" Since this week is Our Daily Bread designs' 4th Anniversary, we are incorporating some items associated with 4th anniversaries.....colors of topaz or aqua, flowers, fruit, linen, silk, etc., along with ODBD Background Stamps. Along with a Prima Flower and the color blue, I am using the following Background Stamps: It Is Well With My Soul and Small Bird Background:

For my sample below, the Small Bird Background was stamped on Very Vanilla with baby blue ink using the MegaMount stamp block, then the hymn was overstamped in black. After tearing the edges and sponging with espresso brown and baby blue ink, the panel was layered on espresso brown cardstock. At this point it really needed a pop of color, so I added some Ruby Red ink using an air-spritzer tool to match the Prima Flower and dew drops in the top corner. The corner flourish is the "Victorian Romance Flourish" by Cheery Lynn Designs...though it looks black in the photo, the flourish was cut from Early Espresso (brown) cardstock to match the mat. When finished, several layers of "Pearl" Glimmer Mist were added for some sparkle.

If you've ever been to my gallery at ODBD or Splitcoast, you will see that I love to use Our Daily Bread designs' Background Stamps as the main focus of many projects. With such great backgrounds, especially the hymns, I just can't bear to cover them up!!

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'It Is Well With My Soul' Background and 'Small Bird Background';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, and Early Espresso Brown;
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Stampin Up Ruby Red (spritzed), Bashful Blue, and Early Espresso Brown;
Accessories: MegaMount Stamp Block, Cheery Lynn Designs 'Victorian Romance Flourish', May Arts Ivory Satin Trim, 'Fire and Ice' Dew Drops, Prima Flower, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist;
