Since today is the first day of the month, that means BLOG HOP!!! If you have hopped from the amazingly creative Dawn Lusk's blog, you are in the right place. If you stopped here by chance, please make sure to head to the ODBD blog and start at the beginning of the blog hop, plus catch the deets on how to be one of five winners of a $20 gift certificate to the ODBD store...how cool is that?! You have until Monday, January 2nd at 8pm EST to complete the hop. Good luck!!!
My sample card today was cut out with Spellbinders Labels 17 dies (Pssst......there will be a video tutorial Monday on the ODBD blog which shows how to make shaped cards with your cutting dies....don't miss it!) I have used the "Bleeding Heart" set, along with SEI "Promise Me" designer paper, apricot grosgrain ribbon and pearls (to bring out the apricot colors in the paper). The next photo shows a close-up of the Bleeding Heart image which was cut out with paper snips and a craft knife, then popped up with foam tape. Tedious work, yes, but it's so worth the outcome!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Bleeding Heart';
Cardstock: SU Whisper White;
Designer Paper: SEI 'Promise Me';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU Apricot Appeal, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Signo White Gel Pen;
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 17 and Oval Nestabilities (sponged background) dies, Grand Calibur, SU Grosgrain Ribbon, Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, paper piercer, foam tape;
Size: Approximately 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
Enjoy the hop and Happy New Year blessings to you!!!!
